Amanda Serrano has weighed in on the newly announced Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano fight, praising both women as pioneers and taking a shot at anyone who views the matchup negatively.
Serrano, who signed a lifetime deal with Most Valuable Promotions in March 2025, shared her thoughts on social media following the announcement that Rousey and Carano will headline MVP’s first-ever MMA event on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, streaming live on Netflix.
“It’s so cool to have one of the Best combat Athletes back @RondaRousey vs another pioneer of combat sports the beautiful @ginacarano,” Serrano wrote. “Others shining lights won’t dim yours Unless you’re insecure, these women will break Numbers both in Viewerships & in live Attendance. I’m certain they will make a ton of money Raising the game!!”
She continued, “I feel it for the Lames that think it’s all about them. Real Empowered Women Empower Women! Tissues for the rest.”
The Puerto Rican boxing champion knows firsthand what MVP and Netflix can deliver. Serrano’s rematch with Katie Taylor in November 2024 became the most-watched professional women’s sports event in U.S. history with 74 million global viewers, and their trilogy at Madison Square Garden in July 2025 headlined the first-ever all-women’s boxing card at the iconic venue.
MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian called Rousey and Carano “the two most formative figures in the history of women’s MMA” when announcing the bout. The fight will be contested at 145 pounds over five five-minute rounds under the Unified Rules of MMA.
A kickoff press conference is scheduled for March 5 at the Intuit Dome, with additional fights on the undercard to be announced in the coming weeks.
Turki Alalshikh has given the world its first look at the official Zuffa Boxing championship belt, sharing a photo on X of himself holding the diamond-encrusted strap alongside UFC CEO Dana White and WWE/TKO president Nick Khan during a meeting in Las Vegas.
Zuffa Boxing Championship Belt
Alalshikh called it “the first Zuffa Boxing belt â made with beautiful diamonds” and described the reveal as “a huge start for Zuffa,” adding that only the very best fighters will be “lucky enough to win this belt.”
Today I am happy, I met with my brothers Dana and Nick in Las Vegas and they gifted me the first Zuffa Boxing belt – made with beautiful diamonds. This is a huge start for Zuffa, and only the very best will be lucky enough to win this belt. đŞđťđĽđĽđđť pic.twitter.com/yUpVUl222S
The belt features “Zuffa Boxing Champion” branding and is positioned as the promotion’s own world title line, separate from the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO. Early fan reaction online has been overwhelmingly negative, with many critics blasting the design and some calling it one of the ugliest belts in boxing history. Alalshikh reportedly limited replies on the original post amid the backlash.
The criticism hasn’t slowed Zuffa’s push forward. The promotion has already confirmed a streamlined championship system featuring just eight traditional weight classes â heavyweight (200+ lbs), cruiserweight (200 lbs), light heavyweight (175 lbs), middleweight (160 lbs), welterweight (147 lbs), lightweight (135 lbs), featherweight (126 lbs), and bantamweight (118 lbs). The back-to-basics approach eliminates all modern “super” divisions and lighter weight classes, with one champion planned per division.
First Zuffa Champion To Be Crowned March 8
The first fighter to hold the new belt will be determined at Zuffa Boxing 04 on March 8 from the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Dana White has confirmed that Jai Opetaia vs. Brandon Glanton will headline the card with the inaugural Zuffa Boxing World Cruiserweight Championship on the line.
Opetaia (29-0, 23 KOs) is the reigning IBF and Ring cruiserweight champion, though those belts will not be at stake in the Glanton fight. The undefeated Australian signed with Zuffa Boxing last month and will be making his U.S. debut. Glanton (21-3, 18 KOs) is ranked No. 10 in The Ring’s cruiserweight rankings.
Zuffa Boxing 04 streams on Paramount+ as part of the promotion’s five-year broadcast deal that guarantees 12 cards in 2026.
Dana White criticized boxing promoters after Zuffa Boxing 03 on February 15, 2026, at the Meta Apex in Enterprise, Nevada. White believes his new venture is already dominating the boxing landscape, and can’t believe how easy it’s been so far.
During the post-fight press conference, White commented on the perceived lack of resistance from established boxing promoters to Zuffa Boxing’s entry into the market. White said,
“This is like beating up babies. I feel like I came in and Iâm beating up babies. I expected more. I expected some pushback. I expected them to be more game. This is all way out of their league, like absolutely, positively out of their league. Iâm actually a little shocked.”
White added that Zuffa will not work with the four major sanctioning bodies and called Eddie Hearn’s comments about a Zuffa belt “cringey.”
The comments followed Efe Ajagba’s (20-1, 14 KOs) TKO victory over former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin (29-4-1, 26 KOs) in Round 4 (1:11). White also criticized WBC President Mauricio SulaimĂĄn, calling him “the greatest P.R. guy for how fucked up boxing is.”
White has signed former featherweight champion Mark Magsayo and is interested in recruiting former two-division champion Teofimo Lopez. Zuffa Boxing 04 is scheduled for March 8, 2026, featuring Jai Opetaia vs. Brandon Glanton.
UFC President Dana White has officially announced that IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia will face Brandon Glanton in the main event of Zuffa Boxing 04 on March 8 at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, with the inaugural Zuffa Boxing World Cruiserweight Championship on the line.
The historic bout crown the promotion’s first-ever world champion.
Opetaia enters as the consensus top cruiserweight in the world and brings a recent knockout streak into the matchup, while Glanton arrives as a heavy-handed underdog who has proven competitive against elite-level opposition despite falling short in previous high-stakes fights.
The Ring-rated Opetaia has established himself as the division’s premier talent, while Glanton represents a dangerous challenge with the power to change the fight with a single punch.
Zuffa Boxing 04 takes place on March 8, 2026, at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

White has teased Zuffa Boxing since 2017, but the promotion has finally come to fruition through a partnership between TKO Group Holdings and Saudi entertainment conglomerate Sela. The venture is led by White, WWE President Nick Khan, and Saudi General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh. With plans to build a 200-fighter roster and a guaranteed 12 cards in 2026, Zuffa Boxing aims to bring UFC-style matchmaking and production values to the boxing world.

Fight Previews
Main Event: Callum Walsh vs. Carlos Ocampo
The 24-year-old Walsh has emerged as one of boxing’s brightest prospects under the guidance of legendary trainer Freddie Roach at Wild Card Boxing Club. The Cork, Ireland native has built an impressive 15-0 record with 11 knockouts, showcasing devastating power from his southpaw stance. Walsh earned his biggest career win on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford undercard in September, outpointing Fernando Vargas Jr. over 12 rounds at Allegiant Stadium.
Tonight marks Walsh’s return to 160 pounds after campaigning at super welterweight, and he weighed in at a career-heaviest 159.5 lbs. The WBC Continental Americas super welterweight champion enters as a heavy -700 favorite with the oddsmakers, with Ocampo available at +450.
Walsh currently holds the WBC Continental Americas super welterweight title and is ranked among the top 10 by multiple sanctioning bodies. His aggressive, come-forward style and heavy hands have made him a favorite of Dana White, who has championed the Irishman’s career through the UFC Fight Pass “Hollywood Fight Nights” series promoted by Tom Loeffler.
Ocampo brings a wealth of experience to tonight’s matchup. The 30-year-old Mexican has challenged for world titles on multiple occasions, including a 2018 IBF welterweight title shot against Errol Spence Jr. and a WBO interim super welterweight title fight against Tim Tszyu in 2023. While both of those bouts ended in first-round knockout defeats, Ocampo has bounced back with three consecutive knockout victories heading into tonight’s clash. With 26 knockouts in 38 wins, the Ensenada native possesses legitimate power that Walsh cannot afford to overlook.
Co-Main Event: Misael Rodriguez vs. Austin Deanda
Mexico’s Misael Rodriguez (15-0, 7 KOs) continues to build on his Olympic legacy. The 30-year-old won a bronze medal in the middleweight division at the 2016 Rio Olympics, becoming Mexico’s first boxing medalist since 2000. Rodriguez’s path to the Games was remarkable, having to beg for money on the streets and buses of Mexico City to fund his Olympic journey after the Mexican Boxing Federation faced funding cuts.
In his most recent outing, Rodriguez outclassed Omar Chavez (son of Mexican legend Julio Cesar Chavez) over 10 rounds in January 2025, demonstrating the technical prowess that made him an Olympian. Managed by former world champion Abner Mares, Rodriguez is looking to make a statement against the undefeated Deanda (17-0, 11 KOs) from Amherst, Virginia, who enters as a relative unknown but carries serious power with 11 knockouts in 17 fights. Rodriguez is a -700 favorite while Deanda is +450.
Cain Sandoval vs. Julian Rodriguez
Sacramento’s Cain Sandoval (17-0, 15 KOs) enters tonight as the -230 favorite against New Jersey’s Julian “Hammer Hands” Rodriguez (24-1, 15 KOs), who is available at +180. The 23-year-old “Sugar” Sandoval has stopped his last four opponents and has been a regular on UFC Fight Pass programming.
Rodriguez rides momentum from the biggest win of his career. In June 2025, the 31-year-old from Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey delivered a stunning knockout of previously unbeaten prospect Avious Griffin on the Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. undercard. Rodriguez overcame an eighth-round knockdown to stop Griffin with just five seconds remaining in the final round, silencing critics who questioned whether his opponent’s 17-0 record was legitimate. Both men have knockout power to end the fight at any moment, making this an intriguing clash of styles.
Omar Trinidad vs. Max Ornelas
The featured preliminary bout pits former Ring Magazine top-10 featherweight Omar Trinidad (19-0-2, 13 KOs) against Las Vegas native Max Ornelas (17-2-2, 6 KOs). Trinidad remains unbeaten through 21 pro fights despite collecting two draws, and his 13 knockouts, 11 coming inside four rounds, demonstrate his finishing ability. Trinidad is a -265 favorite while hometown fighter Ornelas is +205.
Undercard Action
The preliminary card features several intriguing matchups. Troy Nash (5-0-1) and Jaycob Ramos (4-0) have the honor of opening the Zuffa Boxing era, with both eager to etch their names in history as the first fighter to claim victory under the new promotion’s banner. Bantamweights Emiliano “El Gallo Negro” Cardenas (9-0, 4 KOs), a protĂŠgĂŠ of two-time BWAA Trainer of the Year Robert Garcia, faces Marcus Harris (7-1) in a six-round contest. Undefeated Floyd Diaz (13-0) takes on Guillermo Gutierrez (13-2) in an eight-round bantamweight bout, while lightweights Robert “King” Meriwether III (9-0) and Cesar “C Money” Correa (5-0) square off at a 133-pound catchweight.

Zuffa Boxing has assembled an all-star broadcast team for tonight’s inaugural Z01 event, featuring veteran play-by-play voice Joe Tessitore alongside analysts Max Kellerman and Andre Ward.
The stacked lineup brings decades of combined boxing broadcasting experience to Dana White’s new promotion as it launches from the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, streaming at 9pm ET on Paramount+.
Tessitore served as ESPN’s lead voice for Top Rank Boxing from 2002 until the partnership ended in July 2025, calling world championship fights including Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder II and numerous Terence Crawford and Vasiliy Lomachenko title bouts. The Boxing Writers of America honored him with the Sam Taub Award for Broadcast Excellence in 2010, and he was inducted into the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame that same year. Tessitore also currently serves as WWE SmackDown’s play-by-play announcer alongside Wade Barrett.
Kellerman returns to boxing broadcasting after being laid off from ESPN in June 2023. The longtime boxing voice previously served as a color commentator for HBO World Championship Boxing and was part of HBO’s acclaimed announce team alongside Jim Lampley. He made his comeback at Netflix’s Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford card in September 2025.
Ward brings elite fighter perspective to the booth. The undefeated former champion (32-0) retired in 2017 holding unified light heavyweight titles after defeating Sergey Kovalev twice. He won Olympic gold at the 2004 Athens Games and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2021. Ward previously served as a boxing analyst for ESPN from 2017 until his contract expired in 2023.
Full Broadcast Lineup
Rounding out the team, former ESPN First Take host Molly Qerim will host pre- and post-fight coverage from the desk in her first job since departing the network in September 2025. She’ll be joined by Antonio Tarver, Mike Coppinger, and Mark Kriegel at the desk. Heidi Androl handles ringside reporting duties, while regular UFC cage announcer Joe Martinez serves as the ring announcer.

Zuffa Boxing has officially confirmed its inaugural event, Z01, scheduled for Friday, January 23, featuring three compelling matchups at the Meta APEX venue.
Irish middleweight prospect Callum Walsh headlines the card against Mexico’s Carlos Ocampo in a 10-round bout. Walsh, who has built momentum in recent years, faces a significant test against the experienced Ocampo as Zuffa launches its boxing venture under the same ownership as the UFC.
The co-main event features 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Misael Rodriguez taking on Austin Deanda in another middleweight clash. Rodriguez brings amateur pedigree to the professional ranks in what promises to be a competitive 10-round affair.
Rounding out the announced card, welterweights Julian Rodriguez and Cain Sandoval square off in an all-American showdown over 10 rounds.
The event streams exclusively on Paramount+ beginning at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT, marking a significant moment for the combat sports landscape as Zuffa expands beyond mixed martial arts into the boxing space.

The promotion has signed multiple fighters including former WBA super lightweight champion Jose Valenzuela, Vito Mielnicki Jr., and Justin Viloria, with plans to build a 200-fighter roster.

The January 23 debut fulfills the landmark media rights agreement announced in September 2025 between Paramount and TKO Group Holdings. Under the long-term deal, Paramount+ serves as the exclusive home of Zuffa Boxing throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
The agreement guarantees 12 Zuffa Boxing cards in 2026, with plans to expand in subsequent years. Select events may also simulcast on CBS and other Paramount platforms.
“I’m excited to bring great boxing events to a global audience,” Dana White said when the deal was announced. “There are millions of boxing fans that will now be able to watch competitive fights with up-and-coming boxers as well as the biggest stars in the sport. More fight fans will now have access to watch some of the most exciting boxers around.”
Cindy Holland, Chair of Direct-to-Consumer for Paramount, called the partnership “a bold new chapter â not just for us, but for the future of boxing,” emphasizing the deal advances Paramount’s priorities of delivering premium sports and year-round marquee live events to subscribers.
After dropping their initial fight, Conor Benn has scored revenge, outclassing Chris Eubank Jr. in their rematch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Benn’s success began early on, controlling the action with heavy pressure, mixing up sharp jabs and body shots. He seemed to be the quicker, sharper fighter in the early portion of the fight. Eubank made things a little more competitive during rounds four through six, but Benn’s timing on his punches and his footwork helped him to stay dictating the pace.
Benn’s combinations and inside shots eventually helped to seemingly widen the gap. Benn continued to control and cut off the ring while finding success with his punching.
Benn put an exclamation point on his performance by dropping Eubank twice in the final round, dominating and nearly finishing the fight there.
Benn won on all three scorecards with totals of 119-107, 118-108, and 116-110.
Conor Benn Nearly Finishes, Dominates Chris Eubank Jr. In Rematch
He took that Eubank loss to heart and used it to become a world beater. Bravo Conor Benn, what an absolute masterclass you put on tonight against a much bigger man. #EubankBenn2pic.twitter.com/YTnMuieuzc
One of the best performances you will ever see from a British boxer. Possibly the greatest ever. The concession of weight, the first fight, the story. How fitting will it be to have a Eubank retired by a Benn.
Eubank jr is purposely trying to throw the fight away so he can have a trilogy with Benn for even more money but I canât prove it pic.twitter.com/XtTjGctRaa
Jake Paul is still planned to compete in a boxing ring in 2025; it just won’t come in an exhibition bout against Gervonta Davis. The Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis-led event scheduled for November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, has been canceled.
The event’s cancelation comes following new allegations of abuse against Davis, who is now being sued civilly.
“Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly,” Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, said in a statement. “While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025. Details regarding a new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional bouts will be shared as soon as they are finalized. We thank Netflix, the Kaseya Center, and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for their partnership.
“Most Valuable Promotions appreciates the continued support and understanding of our athletes, partners, sponsors, and fans as we work to finalize updated event plans.”
Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis Event Canceled, Paul Expected To Still Fight Before End Of Year
Davis’ ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, is accusing Davis of several crimes, including battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment during an incident that occurred in a strip club on October 27.
Davis allegedly attacked Rossel in the club’s back room before dragging her out to the parking garage, where he allegedly assaulted her again.
This is not Davis’ first time facing these allegations. He has faced domestic violence-related charges in February 2020, December 2022, and July 2025.
Rossel claims that she was abused by Davis multiple times during their brief relationship.
According to Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions, a fight for Paul is expected to take place before the end of the year. Potential new opponents have included the likes of Terence Crawford, Ryan Garcia, and Francis Ngannou, as well as a potential rematch with Nate Diaz.
Misfits Boxing announced a significant leadership change on October 30, 2025, with Andrew Tate taking over as CEO of the influencer boxing promotion. The former athlete will make his professional boxing debut against Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor on December 20, 2025, at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
đ¨ BREAKING: Andrew Tate has been announced to be the new CEO of Misfits.
He will be fighting the Misfits Heavyweight Champion Chase DeMoor on December 20th in Dubai đŚđŞ
Former CEO KSI has been relinquishing from his position vis board of directors.
The announcement was made through a promotional video featuring Mams Taylor, co-president of Misfits Boxing, who stated that YouTuber and co-founder KSI has been removed from his CEO position.
In the announcement video, Tate described his ascension to the role as a planned transition. “Welcome to your new CEO, it wasn’t a hostile takeover, but it was certainly planned, and Mams and I are going to be working together to finally put Misfits where it belongs on the world stage,” he said. “The largest disruptive force in sports entertainment history, so considering that somebody that failed at their obligations to make this organization as big as it should’ve been has been ousted and I’m the new CEO”.
Tate later explained to Fred Talks Fighting that a tweet posted by KSI three years ago prompted his takeover. “Well, KSI tweeted something that annoyed me about three years ago. So, long story short, I took his company from him,” Tate said, adding that he has never met KSI and hopes he is okay.
KSI
KSI responded with fury on social media platform X. “This year people are trying to test me fr. WHAT THE ACTUAL F*** IS GOING ON? This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Let’s make ANDREW TATE THE CEO OF MISFITS?!? ARE YOU F****** SERIOUS?!?” he wrote. He also criticized Taylor, stating: “Bro has been focused on misfits rather than managing me lol. And you decide to do this s***”.
Many fans have expressed skepticism about the situation, believing it may be a promotional storyline designed to set up a future fight between KSI and Tate. Multiple social media users described the announcement as a “WWE storyline,” suggesting the conflict is manufactured to generate interest in a potential showdown for the CEO position.
Misfits Boxing was founded in May 2022 by KSI, Mams Taylor, and boxing promoters Kalle Sauerland and Nisse Sauerland as a partnership with Wasserman Boxing. The promotion organizes events featuring influencers and former combat sports professionals, streaming primarily through DAZN. Since its inception, Misfits has held 22 events, with the most recent featuring former UFC fighters Darren Till and Luke Rockhold.
Andrew Tate’ Upcoming Boxing Match
The December 20 bout will mark Tate’s professional boxing debut, as his previous experience has been exclusively in full-contact kickboxing.
The appointment of Tate as CEO has generated controversy given his ongoing legal issues across multiple countries. He and his brother Tristan face charges in the United Kingdom, Romania, and are under investigation in the United States related to allegations of sexual assault and human trafficking, which both brothers deny.
Fabio Wardley recognizes his Joseph Parker win as his biggest moment professionally as an athlete but yet for some, there is still a bit of an asterisk on that moment. Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, Wardley discussed several aspects of his win over Parker which saw Wardley cement himself as the new interim WBO heavyweight champion.
After securing an eleventh round TKO over someone as established as Parker to where a potential fight with Oleksandr Usyk seems well within his grasp, one would think Wardley would purely be celebrating. However there are people out there who have been criticizing the nature of the Parker stoppage as being one that was quite premature.
After showing his due respect for Fabio Wardley as a fighter, Helwani mentioned he felt the stoppage was quite early but when asking if pundits like himself were being annoying bringing up these thoughts that stoppage was premature in the context of feeling like it was detracting from his win and Wardley said,
âNo, look, thank you. I appreciate it. But no, it doesnât. It doesnât upset me. It doesnât offend me. Everyoneâs entitled to their opinion.”
“Thatâs no problem for me whatsoever. Again, I just ask that people donât take away from what actually I achieved on the night because going into that fight, no one even gave me a hope. No one gave me a chance.”
Fabio Wardley thinks people can say what they want about the stoppage but follow up with due praise
Fabio Wardley articulated a fairly balanced take where he understands those who felt like the Joseph Parker stoppage came prematurely but also feeling a certain pride in his accomplishment and feeling like that should be acknowledged as such.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani as he further expounded upon his thoughts from the quote above, Wardley continued,
“Everyone thought Iâd be done for within two, three, four rounds, whichever else. So, itâs fair for everyone to say what they want to say about the stoppage.”
“but just make sure thatâs followed by praising the accomplishment of the achievement. Thatâs 100% fair.”
James DeGale won in his recent bare knuckle boxing debut but it may be a one and done effort for him and one of his long running rivals has weighed in on that situation. The rival, with a feud that still persists to this day, George Groves touched on DeGale’s foul heavy BKFC debut effort. While DeGale did win at BKFC 81 against Matt Floyd in the main event, the future for the former in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is riddled with question marks.
In an interview with Poker Strategy, Groves articulated how he doesn’t feel as if the world of bare knuckle is for James DeGale despite now technically being unbeaten in the sport. As he offered up his thoughts on DeGale’s return to competition and how he sees that fighter’s future prospects shaking out, Groves said,
“Stick to boxing or something else. Bare knuckle fighting is brutal. He told us time and time again that it wasnât for money. But I’ve got to be honest, if I did it, it would be for money. I’ve seen a statement from DeGaleâs mum saying that bare knuckle boxing isnât for James.”
“He’s talking about hoping to box in MisFits or get a Darren Till or KSI fight, but is your name big enough to get those fights right now? I donât think anybody would be worried about him from the weekend.”
James DeGale intimates what could be next for him in combat sports
James DeGale returned after a six year layoff and the former super middleweight champion is hinting to fans what his next step could be. DeGale’s comments in the post-fight in-ring interview seemed to leave the door somewhat open for a potential sophomore trek into bare knuckle. But a later post fight statement put out on DeGale’s behalf seemed to be more clear in mentioning bare knuckle as a bit of a thing of the past. But that there was openness to don the glvoes again and return to boxing where DeGale has not competed since 2019.
Whether DeGale does ply his trade in pugilism again and seek fights with names like Darren Till and KSI as Groves mentioned, it seems at least like BKFC is in the rearview for the pedigreed fighter.
Yoelvis Gomez will compete once again on November 1st in a hugely intriguing clash. This ten-round affair in the super welterweight ranks against a challenger who has yet to taste defeat as a pro, Antraveous Ingram. This contest will be for the WBA Continental Latin America title held by Gomez. This battle will broadcast on DAZN in Orlando, Florida from the Caribe Royale Resort. This will be a collaborative effort from promotions Matchroom Boxing and Boxlab Promotions.
Gomez is represented by Boxlab Promotions as well as Warriors Boxing and looks to add to his campaign building to a world title shot. The 28-year-old Cuban knockout artist is eager to remind fans why heâs one of boxingâs most explosive young talents. Gomez is galvanized by the challenge of Ingram having an unbeaten record and being the one to put the first blemish on that ledger, as Gomez said,
“This fight is my chance to show the world that Iâm still one of the most dangerous fighters in the super welterweight division. Iâve faced adversity, Iâve made adjustments, and now Iâm coming into this fight with more hunger than ever.”
“When the bell rings, I want people to see a smarter, stronger version of me â a fighter ready to take over the division.â
Gomez is acutely aware of the task that awaits him here though as he stated,
“Antraveous Ingram is a talented, undefeated fighter, but I am ready for this challenge. Heâs earned his spot, but Iâve fought at a higher level, and Iâm bringing the kind of power and precision that changes fights instantly. Fans tuning in on DAZN are going to see fireworks.”
Yoelvis Gomez is looking to ideally keep making legacy moves during his run in the sweet science, Gomez said,
“Every fight is a step toward my dream â to bring a world title back to Cuba. I fight for my people â for the Cuban flag and the next generation of fighters watching me chase greatness.”
“A win on November 1 puts me back where I belong â on the path to a world championship.â
Yoelvis Gomez has a lone loss on his boxing record and as he keeps using that as fuel for further growth, Gomez quipped,
“Iâve learned more from my setbacks than from my victories â and now Iâm ready to rise higher than ever. Sometimes a loss wakes up the fighter inside you.”
“Iâve refined my training, sharpened my defense, and elevated my mindset. Youâre going to see a complete Yoelvis Gomez â one who is going to give it his all.”
Yoelvis Gomez vs. Antraveous Ingram overview continued
The President of Boxlab Promotions weighed in on the magnitude of this matchup, as Amaury Piedra stated,
âThis fight is a pivotal moment for Yoelvis Gomez. Heâs facing a hungry, undefeated fighter in Antraveous Ingram, and thatâs exactly the kind of test we wanted. Yoelvis has all the means to make a statement â power, charisma, and the drive to become a world champion.”
“A victory here not only reestablishes him as a top contender but also puts him back in the spotlight where he belongs.â
The Gomez versus Ingram super welterweight contest takes over Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando. Those not keen on a live boxing event in Florida who want to check the fight out from the comfort of their home having available options to do so via DAZN.
Former boxing champion George Groves had a lot to say about the likes of Jake Paul, a sweet science centred Netflix project, and BBC getting involved with the world of boxing again.
In an interview with Poker Strategy, Groves initially touched on his thoughts regarding how he feels like Jake Paul steals a lot of mannerisms from things that he has seen prior fighters do.
This was something that Groves observed about Paul during a recent Gervonta Davis interactions, as Groves said,
“I like the clips where Gervonta Davis is sort of standing there like this, and then Jake Paul’s doing the MMA stuff. Everything about him, he’s just seen on TV or something, he’s just seen somewhere else. It’s all stolen!”
George Groves talks Netflix and BBC boxing projects
The former WBA champion also spoke on how he felt like the recent documentary on Matchroom boxing kind of tinkered with reality a bit. When expressing his thoughts regarding that Netflix project featuring the Hearns, George Groves stated,
“I came in halfway through the third episode. It’s called The Greatest Showmen, which I like because Eddie and Barry are the showmen. But if you watch the Greatest Showman, the movie with Hugh Jackman, it’s a bit of a con, isn’t it? It’s quite deceptive.”
“When Conor Benn is calling up while Eddie and Frank Smith are on the golf course and Connor Benn’s sitting there in his Versace dressing-gown and he says, âI spent every penny I’ve got to clear my nameâ, maybe he bought that Versace dressing-gown first⌔
Also of note, with the sweet science making a comeback on BBC, the 37-year-old could not contain his elation for how it can help grow fighters in the sport, as George Groves quipped,
“This is awesome. I can’t believe that it’s on BBC 2, which I think is great. I don’t know what the deal on setup is, but it’s a good fight and itâs on terrestrial. I’m very excited.”
“Ben Shalom and his stable of fighters, a couple of them are potential future stars. I hope that they can match up the cost to get these guys on a show and get it on the BBC.”
Bryan Battle is booked for his sophomore Dirty Boxing appearance.
The past few months have been a rollercoaster for Battle. It all started when he was abruptly released from the promotion after missing weight for his middleweight clash against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC 319 in August.
Just two weeks later, âThe Butcherâ found a new fighting home, signing with Dirty Boxing, the hybrid combat promotion co-owned by Mike Perry and Jon Jones. In his promotional debut, the 31-year-old North Carolinian scored a lightning-fast 56-second knockout of Derik de Freitas at DBX 3 on August 29.
Bryan Battle wins his first fight since his unexpected UFC release.
Bryan Battle To Face Nicholas Kohring In DBX 4 Co-Main Event On Oct. 30
Earlier this week, the promotion announced that Bryan Battle is set to make his second appearance with Dirty Boxing, taking on Nicholas Kohring in the co-main event of DBX 4 on October 30 in Nashville, Tennessee.
DBX 4 will be headlined by a heavyweight clash, pitting Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson against Bellator veteran Billy Swanson.
BREAKING: @BryanBattle10 is BACK Oct. 30th in the Co-Main Event! đĽ
After making a statement at DBX 3, heâs heading to Nashville for DBX 4âand heâs coming for more blood.
âThe Butcherâ holds a professional MMA record of 13-2 with one no contest. He concluded his UFC stint with a 7-1 record and one no contest, racking up five stoppage victories and claiming two Performance of the Night bonuses during his run.
Meanwhile, Kohring, a teammate of UFC legend Nate Diaz, last competed at BKFC 59 in March 2024, where he secured a first-round knockout over Kyle McElroy. “Killshot” holds a professional MMA record of 13-2, with an impressive 12 victories coming by way of stoppage.
Skye Nicolson had positive words for Jake Paul’s efforts as a promoter but had less than kind words for arguably the biggest fighter he promotes, Amanda Serrano. During an interview with SheKicks, Nicolson touched on topics related to Serrano, Paul, and her own career prospects going forward.
The Australian native has long wanted a fight with the decorated seven-division champion but Sky Nicolson seems to think that ship has sailed with a Serrano bout as Skye Nicolson said,
“I don’t believe I’ll ever get the opportunity to face Amanda Serrano. She’s at the end of her career now. She knows I’m a banana skin opponent for her.”
“I have the speed and the footwork and the angles to trouble her. She’s a very flat footed fighter. But unfortunately I think the opportunity to fight her has passed now.”
Turning her attentions to Serrano’s promoter, the 30-year-old had praise for Jake Paul at least through the lens of what he is doing with Most Valuable Promotions as Nicolson stated,
“I’m glad that he’s trying to give women’s boxing more limelight. He signed a lot of female fighters and really tried to push women’s boxing onto mainstream platforms. So you definitely canât knock what he’s doing in the boxing world in that sense.”
“The misfit stuff and the very lopsided weight division fights, less intrigued by that. But I love what he’s doing for women’s boxing at the moment.”
Skye Nicolson and her future aspirations in the sport of boxing
As far as her next in-ring assignment, the former WBC featherweight champion looks to make a statement for womenâs boxing and when asked if she thinks she is the most exciting pugilist at 122lbs, Nicolson quipped,
“I believe I am the best in this division. And I think the boxing world will start to see that as well. I think my next fight is going to be a really big statement for the 122lb division and for women’s boxing in general.”
“I think that’s going to be an opportunity for me to really showcase what I can do.”
In summation, Skye Nicolson wants to be remembered as one of the greatest fighters worldwide and not just someone who is popular but pedigreed as well. In describing her long term mindset for her boxing career in this vein, Nicolson said,
“I want to be involved in those moments, so for me, that is why I’m chasing those fights like the Amanda Serrano fight, because I want to be remembered as one of Australia’s greatest fighters.”
“I want to be remembered as one of the world’s greatest fighters when it’s all said and done. So a hundred percent that’s why I’m chasing those big fights.”
UFC veteran Chael Sonnen has explained why he wants to see a bizarre crossover fight take place between Dillon Danis and Eddie Hall.
For the longest time now, Dillon Danis has been among the top 10 most hated fighters in mixed martial arts – and potentially combat sports as a whole. After an initially promising start to his MMA career, Danis seemed to fall back on his friendship with Conor McGregor. In addition to that, he opted to troll just about everyone he could on social media, which really became his ‘signature’ move.
Nowadays, though, it seems as if Dillon Danis is working his way into a position of prominence in the influencer fighting scene. There have even been suggestions that he wants to square off with Eddie Hall who, for those who don’t know, is a former World’s Strongest Man. While that may seem like an absolutely insane idea, it’d likely be in a setting that would allow Dillon to utilize his jiu-jitsu skills.
Either way, in the current landscape, Dillon Danis vs Eddie Hall is a fight that can actually happen – whether you love it or hate it. Chael Sonnen, who has had his fair share to say on the influencer scene, recently had the following thoughts on Danis vs Hall.
Chael Sonnen wants to see Dillon Danis vs Eddie Hall
“Big guy, game vs smaller guy with skills. Story told many times. Fascinating. Promoter would book it, audience there. Eddie Hall will do it, Dillon will too.”
Alexander Gustafsson could be back in action soon, though not inside the cage.
Even without a title to his name, Gustafsson earned recognition as one of the UFCâs premier light heavyweights, compiling an impressive record against elite competition thoughout his MMA career before retiring in 2022.

However, according to a recent report from Swedish outlet Frontkick.online, âThe Maulerâ is gearing up for a fresh innings in combat sports, as he is reportedly in advanced talks to make his professional boxing debut with Misfits.
The report further noted that the former multi-time UFC title challenger could square off against a fellow Octagon veteran, should everything align as expected.

Alexander Gustafsson initially seemed to step away from active competition following a fourth-round submission defeat to former title challenger Anthony Smith at UFC Stockholm in June 2019.
However, in June 2020, Gustafsson announced he would come out of retirement to make his UFC heavyweight debut. He faced former champion FabrĂcio Werdum at UFC Fight Island 3 in July, but the return didnât go as planned, as he suffered a first-round submission loss.
The 38-year-old Swede remained inactive for another two years before returning to the Octagon in July 2022, moving back down to light heavyweight to face Nikita Krylov at UFC London. Unfortunately, his comeback was cut short, as he suffered a first-round knockout loss.
Alexander Gustafsson boasts a professional MMA record of 18-8, including a 10-8 mark in the UFC, highlighted by impressive victories over notable fighters such as Glover Teixeira, Jimi Manuwa, and Matt Hamill.

According to a press release, the fights will be accessible through Paramountâs direct-to-consumer streaming service, Paramount+. Beyond 2026, the number of live cards is set to grow, with select bouts also slated to air on CBS and other Paramount streaming platforms.
Zuffa Boxing is the newly launched professional boxing promotion created by TKO Group in partnership with entertainment conglomerate Sela. It is led by a powerhouse team including UFC CEO Dana White, Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, Sela CEO Dr. Rakan Alharthy, and WWE President and TKO director Nick Khan.
The announcement comes on the heels of UFCâs major broadcasting shift from ESPN to Paramount, sealed last month with a seven-year, $7.7 billion deal set to begin in 2026. Under the agreement, UFC will feature a full schedule of 13 premier numbered events and 30 Fight Nights, marking a move away from most traditional pay-per-view models.

Dana White Weighs In On Zuffa Boxing Deal With Paramount
Dana White expressed his enthusiasm about the Zuffa Boxing deal with Paramount. The UFC CEO highlighted that the partnership will bring high-quality boxing to a global audience, giving fans access to both rising talent and established stars.
“I’m excited to bring great boxing events to a global audience,” White said in a press release. “There are millions of boxing fans that will now be able to watch competitive fights with up-and-coming boxers as well as the biggest stars in the sport. Terence Crawfordâs post-parade celebration nearly spiraled into a nightmare.
Earlier this month, Crawford etched his name in history by moving up two weight classes to challenge Canelo Alvarez, securing the biggest triumph of his career with a unanimous decision to claim the undisputed super middleweight crown.
To honor his historic win, âBudâ was celebrated with a grand victory parade in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, on Saturday. The event was a festive spectacle, with Crawford receiving his well-earned praise from teammates, coaches, and countless members of the boxing community.
However, only hours after the parade, the celebration took a shocking twist when the multi-division boxing champion was stopped by Omaha police and momentarily detained at gunpoint. The stop happened around 1:30 A.M. near 12th and Capitol Avenue, after officers cited reckless driving concerns.
During the stop, officers noticed a firearm in the vehicle and ordered all four occupants, including Crawford, to step out at gunpoint. A video initially shared by Facebook user Dre Jimmy shows the 38-year-old Nebraska native behind the wheel during a tense standoff with an officer, who directs him to step out.

The Mayor of Omaha issued the following statement following the incident:
Authorities later confirmed that Terence Crawford had been driving and issued him a citation for reckless driving. They also clarified that a member of his security detail was carrying a legally registered firearm and that all passengers were authorized to possess weapons.

Mayor Of Omaha Issues Statement On Terence Crawfordâs Police Stop
Following Terence Crawford being held at gunpoint during a traffic stop, the Omaha Police Department confirmed the details of the incident. Officials stated in a press note that the stop occurred due to âreckless drivingâ and confirmed that “Bud” was the driver. All four occupants were ordered out of the vehicle for safety reasons, while one passenger was carrying a legally registered firearm.
Additionally, Omaha Mayor John Ewing issued a statement on Sunday, stating that he had spoken directly with Terence Crawford after the incident. He also announced that Police Chief Todd Schmaderer has launched an internal investigation into the traffic stop.
“Understand that my heart dropped in learning of this end to an otherwise wonderful day and evening celebrating our cityâs world boxing champion,” Ewing wrote on Facebook. “We held a great parade and great event at Heartland of America park. The evening birthday party at Steelhouse, which I and members of my team attended, was a showing of joy and pride. Omaha needs to remember this important day as a good one while we seek answers to how it ended.”
Another piece of the ventures under the Dana White umbrella — let alone the TKO umbrella — may soon be joining Paramount in short time.
Per a report from John Ourand of The Puck, Zuffa Boxing is likely to sign a broadcasting deal with Paramount, with an announcement coming as soon as possibly next week.
MMA Fighting adds that the nearing deal may connect with White’s social media posts last week that originally teased a big day before stating he jumped the gun on the post.
Zuffa Boxing Near Deal With Paramount
If this report is true, it would give TKO its second combat sports broadcasting deal with Paramount following its merger with Skydance. Last month, the UFC and Paramount agreed to a seven-year, $7.7 million deal that would see UFC events broadcasted on the Paramount+ streaming service, with certain numbered cards simulcasted on linear CBS channels.
Zuffa Boxing — run by UFC CEO and President Dana White, as well as WWE President Nick Khan, and financially backed by the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority — officially launches in 2026, following its promotion of the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight earlier this month.
TKO is looking at holding monthly Zuffa Boxing cards, as well as a couple of special “supercards” in a calendar year.
Pulling off the biggest win of his career in one of professional boxing’s most highly-anticipated fights in modern history is a task worthy of celebration. And celebrate Omaha and Terence Crawford did.
A celebration with parade in Crawford’s honor was held on September 27 in his hometown, recognizing his dedication and accomplishments in and out of the ring. The event brought out local officials, some of Crawford’s associates and friends in the world of boxing — including Shakur Stevenson and Claressa Shields — as well as his family and plenty of fans.
As part of the festivities, Crawford was awarded a Key to the City — his second time receiving such an accolade — and a custom championship belt from Omaha Mayor John Ewing Jr.

Terence Crawford Victory Parade Held In Hometown Of Omaha
According to Ewing Jr., over 65,000 people attended the parade, with its route stretching approximately four miles.
Crawford bested Canelo Alvarez on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, becoming the new undisputed super middleweight champion.
The win made Crawford the first male boxer in the four-belt era to become undisputed champion in three weight classes (after previously becoming the first to do so at two) — having previously held undisputed gold at light welterweight and welterweight — and the second male boxer to ever win any form of undisputed championship in three weight classes.
“One word that I’ve been thinking about when wanting to talk about Bud was integrity,” Stevenson said when reflecting on Crawford’s influence on him. “I feel like Bud Crawford taught me integrity, and it’s going to last forever.”
