    Bidarian addressed the possibility during a recent interview with MMA media, confirming that both fighters remain interested in the matchup. The bout could land on Netflix following the streaming platform’s debut MMA show headlined by Ronda Rousey’s comeback fight against Gina Carano.

    “It’s kind of funny, Nate Diaz called Jake out for MMA,” Bidarian said. “I know that Jake is going to come out and say ‘listen, beat Mike Perry and we can run it in MVP MMA, so we’ll see how that develops.”

    Netflix Expanding MMA Presence After Boxing Success

    Netflix has already broadcast multiple combat sports events through MVP, beginning with Paul vs Mike Tyson in November 2024. That event drew an estimated 125 million viewers and was followed by Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 and Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford.

    Bidarian believes the Rousey vs Carano card represents the first of many potential MMA events on the platform. He compared the trajectory to Netflix’s approach to boxing, starting with spectacle fights before expanding into more regular programming.

    “I think similar to Paul-Tyson this is our first event with Netflix in MMA,” Bidarian explained. “I am confident the event will do well, depending on how well it does I’m also very confident we will do more MVP MMA events with Netflix and potentially others.”

    Previous Negotiations Fell Through With PFL

    Paul and Diaz have discussed an MMA fight for years, with the Professional Fighters League previously attempting to make the bout happen. Those negotiations ultimately collapsed over financial terms.

    “If you recall, Jake talked about doing MMA against Nate Diaz for a long time in PFL,” Bidarian continued. “The numbers just couldn’t work for Nate Diaz in terms of what he wanted and what PFL wanted to do. Maybe things change.”

    Diaz was also considered as a potential replacement opponent for Paul’s Netflix boxing match against Anthony Joshua last year after Gervonta Davis withdrew due to legal issues. That rematch never materialized, but the MMA version appears to have gained momentum.

    Bidarian noted that the MMA landscape remains wide open for competition outside the UFC, creating opportunities for MVP to establish itself in the space. Diaz is scheduled to face Mike Perry on the upcoming Netflix card, with Paul suggesting that victory could set up their cage rematch.

    Even after defeating Tate for a second time, ‘Rowdy’ maintained her grudge. She later found herself around Lundell again when he coached her future husband, Travis Browne, who trained at the same Glendale gym.

    “I was still like f*ck that guy. He tried to hurt me. He tried to help somebody hurt me, and you’re dead to me.”

    Depression and Reconciliation

Just so you’re aware, he will never make it to the Hall of Fame as an individual fighter,” Schaub said. “Now, maybe his fight against one of his previous opponents, maybe Conor McGregor, he might have a fight to make the Hall of Fame, but as far as him as individual accomplishments, he won’t make the UFC Hall of Fame. That’s just not real. That will never happen.”

    Schaub doubled down on the idea that the former UFC lightweight title challenger’s status comes more from star power than résumé, especially when compared to someone like “DC”, a former two-division champion who transitioned into one of the UFC’s leading analysts.

    The MMA fighter turned stand-up comedian also suggested Diaz may be taking analyst criticism too personally, rather than recognizing it as part of the job.

    “For him, he’s like, ‘Yo, these analysts breaking down fights, I don’t get it. F*ck these guys,’” Schaub explained. “Yeah, but they’re not criticizing you. It’s literally their job they’re getting paid for, so I think he takes it personal.”

    The driver appeared to be Jones, who can be heard in the video saying “You gotta calm down, bro. You gotta relax yourself, bro” before giving an obscene gesture and walking away.

    Jones confirmed his involvement in the incident on social media, offering his version of events.

    “This kid proceeded to chase my car down for two blocks, revving his engine and trying to intimidate me,” Jones wrote on X.

    “I am glad this happened to me and not one of the senior citizens in our community. I am proud of myself for standing up for myself and not allowing that kind of bullying or intimidation.”

    Beltran claimed Jones nearly hit his vehicle three times while driving on Central Avenue. According to his Instagram post, he revved his engine after the first near-collision, but the truck driver allegedly came close to hitting him twice more.

    Despite the heated exchange, Beltran stated he holds no animosity toward the former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion.

    Beltran expressed hope for a peaceful resolution, adding:

    “Hopefully, soon I’ll make another video where we can maybe shake hands and ‘squash the beef.’”

    The incident marks another controversial moment for Jones, who has had multiple legal issues throughout his career.

    Jiri Prochazka has built a reputation for unconventional training methods throughout his MMA career, and the former UFC light heavyweight champion recently explained the philosophy behind his extreme approach.

    “BJP” has become known for pushing physical and mental boundaries, from trekking alone into mountains without maps to swimming 30 meters beneath frozen lakes.

    During a recent appearance on the Dan Le Batard Show, Prochazka addressed the attention surrounding his unconventional training habits. When his methods were labeled as “crazy,” he rejected that notion and offered his own perspective on the approach.

    “Crazy for who?” Prochazka said. “Maybe crazy for somebody who doesn’t know that. Every high-level athlete, the sport on the top level is not so healthy, not so usual, not so normal. That’s why we have to be a little bit above the normal line. And I like to go through these levels, which is behind normal.”

    Confronting Fear Through Extreme Challenges

    For Jiri Prochazka, the extreme training serves a specific purpose: confronting and controlling fear. He described his ice-swimming challenge from last year as a transformative experience that provided knowledge beyond his imagination.

    “I like the challenges. It’s terrifying, but it’s about calm the mind in every aspect of your life,” Prochazka explained. “These challenges gave me the opportunity to control myself as much as I can. So, that’s why I do these things. And this challenge, last year, swimming under the ice, was like when you’re trying something for the first time in your life. Like sex. You do that, and then you know. Until that moment, you don’t know, you have just an imagination about that. But after that, you really know what it’s about.”

    While the 33-year-old Czech native stands by his unconventional approach, he acknowledged that maturity and impending fatherhood have brought perspective. He admitted some past decisions, particularly solo mountain expeditions without proper preparation, were reckless.

    “I would do all of these things, but what I learned: do it more professionally,” Prochazka said. “I did many times, I just took the bag and all this equipment, and I just went to the mountains somewhere. I didn’t take a map, I just went to the mountains, and I lost myself, and I just tried to survive there for a few days, and it was not fun. It was just not funny. It just survives. This is not smart. This is really not smart, because you have to know the rules.”

    Prochazka is set to face Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 327 this Saturday at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

    “BJP” was last seen in action at UFC 320 in October 2025, where he secured a knockout win over Khalil Rountree Jr. He currently holds a 6-2 record in the UFC, with both of his losses coming against Alex Pereira.

    Moicano finally locked the choke in late in the round, getting a quick tap from Duncan for the win.

    Jandiroba got off to a strong start, grabbing a hold of Ricci and scoring a pair of takedowns, making Ricci work back to her feet and out of her grasp. Ricci started to find the mark, working combinations and a couple of knees, but Jandiroba got behind Ricci and brought her back to the mat with more dominating control.

    Jandiroba did some striking to start round two, which set up a takedown that resulted in Jandiroba dominating most of the second from the ground. Ricci attempted to do damage from the bottom, but it was for naught.

    Ricci attempted to get the offense going in the third, but it was for naught. Jandiroba held her own on the feet and scored another takedown late in the third, nearly securing a choke in the closing seconds, to take the decision victory.

    Zecchini came out with an aggressive pace, looking to bring high-intensity action early with some flashy strikes. But McMillen was ready and had a strong counterattack, working Zecchini over with sharp combinations.

    Zecchini continued to press forward, and he continued to get tagged. McMillen then ended things with a knee that sent Zecchini down before landing follow-up strikes to get the stoppage.

    Hours ago, reports circulated, originally from MMA Fighting, that Van has been forced out of UFC 327 for undisclosed reasons. The UFC had not announced an update on the fight to that point.

    During the UFC Vegas 115 broadcast, the promotion confirmed Van’s withdrawal from UFC 327; however, they stated the bout would only be delayed by a month. It is now booked for the co-main event of UFC 328.

    This will mark Van’s first title defense since winning the championship from Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 323.

    Taira also competed at UFC 323, earning this title shot by finishing former two-time champion Brandon Moreno.

    UFC 327 takes place from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, on April 11. The main event sees Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg to determine the new UFC light heavyweight champion.

    UFC 328 takes place on May 9 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The main event will feature Khamzat Chimaev defending the UFC middleweight championship against former champ Sean Strickland.

    Cowan got the fight to the ground in the second with a slam, but she didn’t do much with ground control as Pereira worked her way back to her feet.

    Then, in the last minute of round two, Pereira landed a vicious knee that put Cowan’s lights out, sealing the victory for “Golden Girl.”

    Though the UFC Vegas 115 prelim between Azamat Bekoev and Tresean Gore seemed one-sided on paper, Gore put on arguably the best performance of his career, ending with a major upset victory via submission.

    Bekoev came out on the front foot early, applying his signature pressure on Gore over the course of the first two rounds. Bekoev looked to land power early and work the body, forcing Gore to counterstrike for success.

    To Gore’s credit, he did find success there, and round two proved to be a firefight. Bekoev scored a knockdown on Gore, and he landed a pair of takedowns, and he looked to be going toward a win.

    But Gore focused on leg kick attacks, and that did enough to wear him down. Gore scored a pair of takedowns during the fight as well, and one of those in the third round started a sequence that ended in him choking out Bekoev for the late submission victory.

    Gore was approximately a +450 underdog on most sportsbooks entering the fight.

    UFC 327 has taken a major hit, as the UFC flyweight championship co-main event will not go on as scheduled.

    Per a report from Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting, UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van has withdrawn from next weekend’s numbered UFC card.

    As of press time, there is no word on why Van has withdrawn. Cruz’s report cites “undisclosed reasons.”

    It is also unclear if planned title challenger Tatsuro Taira will fight for an interim title or if the planned Van vs. Taira title fight will be pushed back to another card.

    Some members of the MMA community on social media, including Magic M and Caposa, seemed to have hinted at the latter.

    This was to be Van’s first defense of the UFC flyweight title. He won the belt at UFC 323 after Alexandre Pantoja suffered an injury during their fight.

    That same night, Taira earned a title shot by finishing former flyweight champion Brandon Moreno.

    One title fight for UFC 327 remains — the main event featuring Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg for the to-be-vacant UFC light heavyweight championship.

    UFC 327 takes place on April 11 from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

    While the UFC Vegas 115 prelim bout between Dione Barbosa and Melissa Gatto ended in a majority decision, the shock isn’t from the decision itself, but rather the events that led to it.

    Gatto seemed to be in control early on, thanks to her sharp counterattacks and her control in the top position. The second round featured plenty of grappling, with Barbosa threatening submissions on multiple occasions. Barbosa continued that momentum into the third round.

    The turning point, however, occurred during round two. Barbosa appeared to land a kick to the head of a grounded Gatto, with Gatto going down in a delayed but harsh manner.

    Soccer kicks are illegal under the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts, and it appeared that Gatto would be victorious by disqualification. The ruling, however, was that Gatto was allowed to continue, and Barbosa was only deducted one point for the foul.

    Barbosa then went on to win via majority decision, two 29-27 scores in her favor to go alongside a 28-28.
