Jake Paul vs. Tank Davis: “It’s a Joke” Says Conor McGregor’s Training Partner

Dillon Danis has given his thoughts on the planned bout between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis.

As we know, Jake Paul is a pretty controversial figure within the world of professional boxing – and that’s us putting it lightly. He’s been able to do some great things in terms of promoting women’s boxing, but when it comes to his own career inside the ring, there are more than a few critics out there.

As we look ahead to the future, Jake Paul seems to have some pretty interesting things lined up, including a blockbuster exhibition fight against Gervonta Davis. Once again, this has been ridiculed and slammed by many as being a farce, but that doesn’t appear to be stopping it from going ahead.

In a recent interview, Dillon Danis, who fought Jake Paul’s brother Logan, weighed in on the whole situation.

Dillon Danis rips into Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis

“I think it’s a joke. I mean, he says he wants to be world champion. He’s fighting a 125 pounder. I called it like the Tyson fight. They’re going to have a little sparring match. It’s basically selling wolf tickets and just stealing people’s money. You know, Jake is a good salesman, but you know, this started with me and Jake. There’s no Jake Paul without me. So, I think he’ll finish with us one day.”

‘Tank’ has a whole host of potential opponents that he could battle but instead, this is the direction he’s opted to go down.

Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis: Former UFC champion hits out at exhibition match

UFC legend Michael Bisping has given his thoughts on the upcoming Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis exhibition boxing match.

As we know, Paul and Gervonta Davis are set to square off in an exhibition boxing match later this year. While some are intrigued to see how it all plays out, most boxing fans are furious – mainly because they want to see ‘Tank’ take on bigger challenges than this one.

Of course, boxing has changed a lot since the introduction of Jake Paul to the party, but we all knew that. As we look ahead to this fight, it’s hard to know how both men are even going to approach it.

In a recent video, Michael Bisping made it crystal clear that he doesn’t want to see Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis whatsoever.

Michael Bisping’s view on Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis

“This fight, in my opinion, was a bit of a mockery of boxing because it doesn’t have the legitimacy or fairness that you’d expect in a high-level contest. It’s more of a spectacle than a sporting event, and it leaves a lot of questions about what Jake Paul’s real ambitions are in boxing.”

“You’re talking about a massive size difference between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis. This isn’t a professional fight, it’s an exhibition. But man, you can’t help but notice the mockery element to it. It’s like watching David fighting Goliath in the boxing ring, but with a huge weight disadvantage for Paul.”

    Do you agree with Bisping?

Jake Paul Set To Face Gervonta Davis In An Exhibition Bout On Nov. 14 As Anthony Joshua Negotiations Reportedly Crumble

Jake Paul appears to have secured yet another marquee name to add to his growing list of opponents.

In recent years, “The Problem Child” has carved out a unique lane in combat sports, headlining a series of crossover showdowns, many against former UFC standouts. Though his matchmaking has largely leaned on star power and spectacle, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has consistently maintained that his ultimate goal is to capture a recognized world title.

Paul had long campaigned for a showdown with multi-division champion Canelo Alvarez, but those hopes were dashed after the Mexican superstar signed a lucrative four-fight deal with Riyadh Season, which includes his September 13 clash against undisputed titleholder Terence Crawford.

With that door closed, the former Disney star shifted his sights to a potential clash with former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, eyeing either late this year or sometime in 2026. Yet with recent developments, it seems that ship has already sailed, though Jake Paul has now landed a fight against a long-coveted opponent.

Jake Paul To Fight Gervonta Davis In An Exhibition On Nov. 14

According to a recent report from boxing insider Mike Coppinger, negotiations for a potential Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua super fight have officially fallen through, with broadcasting conflicts cited as the key stumbling block given “AJ’s” exclusive deal with DAZN.

In the aftermath, “The Problem Child” has secured an exhibition showdown with reigning WBC lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, scheduled for November 15 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and set to stream live on Netflix.

The fight features a major weight gap, with “Tank” competing at lightweight, where the limit is 135 pounds. Paul, on the other hand, came in at 200 pounds for his last bout and usually fights in the cruiserweight division.

Jake Paul last stepped into the ring in June, earning a unanimous decision victory over former WBC middleweight champion Julio César Chávez Jr. He now holds a record of 11-1, with seven of those wins coming by knockout.

Meanwhile, Davis last competed in March, battling Lamont Roach Jr. to a hard-fought majority draw. “Tank” currently boasts an unbeaten professional record of 30-0-1, with an astounding 28 victories coming by knockout.

  • Anthony Joshua Vs. Jake Paul is Happening, Francis Ngannou Explains “People want to see it.”

Anthony Joshua Vs. Jake Paul is Happening, Francis Ngannou Explains “People want to see it.”

A crossover boxing bout between former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and YouTube sensation turned professional boxer Jake Paul is moving closer to reality, amid serious negotiations, as recent remarks from former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou suggest.

    Anthony Joshua Vs. Jake Paul

PFL world champion, and veteran boxer, Ngannou recently stated, in an interview with Ariel Helwani: “Regarding the Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul fight, serious talks have happened. It seems crazy, but people want to see it.” This statement adds fuel to the growing buzz surrounding the potential fight.

Anthony Joshua, age 35, has a professional record of 28 wins and 4 losses, with 25 of those wins coming by knockout. Known for his Olympic gold medal from 2012 and his reign as a heavyweight champion, Joshua remains a top contender in boxing. His recent campaigns include a March 2024 second-round knockout win over Francis Ngannou and a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024.

Despite recent setbacks, Joshua retains high rankings globally in the heavyweight division, including No. 3 in the WBC and No. 5 in both The Ring and the IBF rankings. He does not currently have a scheduled fight but has been linked to potential opponents such as Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, and Andy Ruiz Jr.

Jake Paul, on the other hand, has carved out a unique niche in boxing since crossing over from his career as an influencer. As of mid-2025, Paul has fought 12 professional boxing matches, winning 11 and losing just once. Seven of his victories came by knockout. He has defeated a blend of retired MMA fighters and professional boxers and recently scored points victories against notable names like Mike Tyson in November 2024 and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in June 2025. Paul’s self-promotion and ability to draw large viewing numbers have made him one of the most commercially viable, albeit controversial, figures in combat sports.

Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has also publicly commented on the fight’s potential, describing it as a “very real” possibility with about a 50/50 chance of happening. Hearn highlighted ongoing positive discussions with Jake Paul’s team, with both camps reportedly aware of the crossover appeal the fight would generate. Hearn believes Paul is confident in his chances to be competitive or even win. Given Joshua’s status as a former world champion and Paul’s rising profile, the fight carries significant financial and promotional promise.

Ngannou, who himself recently fought Joshua and brought attention to the power each fighter possesses, shows the public’s fascination with the prospective bout. Though the fight may seem unexpected to some due to their very different backgrounds, Ngannou’s observes that “people want to see it.”

  • “Sue Me.” Piers Morgan Walks Back On Statements About Jake Paul’s Crap Fights After Legal Threat

“Sue Me.” Piers Morgan Walks Back On Statements About Jake Paul’s Crap Fights After Legal Threat

Piers Morgan has walked back previous comments he made suggesting that Jake Paul’s boxing matchups were fixed.

In a social media post on August 9, Morgan says comments he made about the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s in-ring career being “boring staged b*******” were more in regard to the opponents that Paul faces.

Morgan claims his comments were not to be taken as his fights being pre-determined stage shows.

The broadcaster and media personality also said Paul was welcome onto his YouTube show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, any time to debate him.

Piers Morgan Takes Back Remarks That Jake Paul Fights Are Staged

“His fights have been predominantly against older, past-their-prime opponents, which may be lucrative for both sides, and may have entertainment value, but don’t reveal how he stacks up against currently ranked boxers and therefore are not a good look for the sport,” Morgan said in his statement. “I did not intend to suggest that the outcome was predetermined and certainly didn’t mean to suggest anything illegal. But if reports are correct that Jake is now in negotiations to fight Anthony Joshua, that would obviously be a seriously credible bout against one of the best heavyweights in the world.

“Jake is welcome to come on Uncensored to discuss this, and verbally slug it out with me, anytime.”

Paul came into Morgan’s crosshairs around the time of his June 28 bout with Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. — a bout that faced plenty of criticism from the boxing community for its one-sided nature and the credibility of Chavez Jr. Morgan blasted the opponents in Paul’s fight history, from YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA star Nate Robinson, to retied MMA fighters including Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz, as well as former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson — who hadn’t fought professionally in about 20 years.

Morgan remarked that Paul was “killing boxing with this boring staged b******.” Paul, in response, threatened legal action against anyone who’d remark his fights were staged.

Morgan jumped on hearing such remarks, taking to social media on June 30 to dare Paul to bring litigation.

Paul is currently 12-1 in boxing, with his sole loss coming against Tommy Fury, cousin to former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. As previously mentioned, rumors have been swirling about a potential fight between Paul and former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

  • People Want to See Anthony Joshua Knock Out Jake Paul – Insiders Say it Is Likely To Happen

Will people pay big money to see Jake Paul get knocked out?

After a string of victories over past-their-prime MMA and boxing stars, ‘The Problem Child’ is targeting a clash with the former unified heavyweight world champion, claiming that he would “f***ing beat Anthony Joshua’s a**.” Initially, the callout was disregarded by fans and pundits alike, many of them accusing Paul of clout chasing.

That was until famed British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn insisted that a fight between the two was a “very real” possibility, putting the odds of it happening at “50/50.”

Despite coming off a tough loss against Daniel Dubois in his last outing, Joshua is still considered to be one of the heavyweight division’s premiere knockout artists, and Ariel Helwani believes people will pay big money to see him send Jake Paul to the shadow realm.

“People will tune in and people will pay the hard-earned cash just to see AJ knock him out,” Helwani said on Ariel x Ade. “For AJ, this is just—I mean, stealing candy from a baby.”

Tyson Fury ready to bet big on Jake Paul against Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul’s recent victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. drew a lot of criticism from fight fans as it appeared the two were phoning it in — a similar complaint lobbed at Paul’s highly anticipated and mildly-received clash against boxing icon ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson in November.

Thus far, Paul has only fought one “legitimate” active boxer in his career, that being Tyson Fury’s little brother, Tommy Fury. Paul ended up losing the bout via split decision, handing him his first and only loss thus far.

According to Gambling 911, Paul only has a 7.7% chance of beating Joshua, but that won’t stop the elder Fury from plunking down a million dollars on ‘The Problem Child.’

“Jake Paul chins AJ, yes,” Fury said in an interview with iFL TV. “100 percent. If they fight, I’m putting a million pounds on Jake Paul.”

  • Jake Paul Brings In High-Profile Lawyer To Target Those Accusing Him Of Fixing Fights

Jake Paul Brings In High-Profile Lawyer To Target Those Accusing Him Of Fixing Fights

Jake Paul is done taking hits to his fighting reputation and is now taking serious steps to defend it.

In recent years, Paul has established himself as a major figure in crossover boxing, taking on multiple former UFC stars. However, critics continue to question his credibility, accusing him not only of facing opponents well past their prime or significantly older than him, but also of competing in fixed fights.

Last November, “The Problem Child” stepped into the ring with legendary heavyweight icon Mike Tyson, earning a dominant unanimous decision win. However, Tyson’s lackluster showing sparked widespread skepticism, with many questioning the authenticity of the fight.

After the fight, claims that the bout was fixed quickly gained traction on social media, fueling skepticism around the legitimacy of Paul’s win. In response to the growing backlash, Paul and his team at Most Valuable Promotions issued a formal statement firmly denying any wrongdoing and dismissing the accusations as baseless.

Jake Paul Enlists Alex Spiro To Silence Critics Questioning His Fights

Amid relentless accusations of staged bouts, Jake Paul has taken a bold legal step to protect his name by enlisting renowned American attorney Alex Spiro to lead the charge in defending his reputation.

Spiro, widely regarded as a powerhouse attorney, has represented prominent personalities like Elon Musk and is known for his relentless legal strategies in defending clients against defamatory claims. The 42-year-old lawyer now brings his expertise to Paul’s corner, aiming to aggressively challenge the accusations that threaten the boxer’s reputation.

On Monday, “The Problem Child” took to social media to officially announce his partnership with Spiro and issued a stern warning to critics about the legal consequences of questioning the legitimacy of his fights.

“I’ve dedicated my life to boxing and I will no longer let those with a public profile harm me or the sport I love and respect, without consequences,” Jake Paul wrote on X.

Jake Paul was last seen in action in June, securing a unanimous decision victory over former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., which extended his current winning streak to six. The Ohio native now boasts 12-1 record, with his lone defeat coming via split decision against Tommy Fury in February 2023.

  • Jake Paul Tells Conor McGregor to Give It Up In Latest Training Clip Fiasco

Jake Paul Tells Conor McGregor to Give It Up In Latest Training Clip Fiasco

Jake Paul is tired of seeing Conor McGregor train.

Despite dealing with a slew of legal issues outside of the Octagon, the Irish megastar is insistent that his “greatest comeback in combat sports history” is still coming. In reality, it’s been more than four years since McGregor has strapped on the four-ounce gloves, and few are buying that his recent spree of training clips on social media suggests otherwise.

McGregor posted yet another video of himself shadowboxing, which drew the ire of Paul, who suggested that the former two-division titleholder “just give it up” already.

The last time McGregor fought in the UFC, he suffered a brutal broken leg in the opening round of his trilogy fight with recently retired fan favorite Dustin Poirier. Six months earlier, McGregor suffered the first knockout loss of his MMA career against ‘The Diamond’ at UFC 257. Since 2017, McGregor has gone 1-4, including a 10th-round TKO defeat at the hands of boxing icon Floyd Mayweather.

McGregor’s only win in the last eight years came against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in January, 2020 — two months before the COVID-19 pandemic shut the world down.

Conor McGregor refuses to give up on his UFC return or his presidential aspirations

Despite the lack of activity inside the Octagon, McGregor has regularly dominated headlines, though not always for the right reasons. Recently, he lost an appeal after being held liable for the December 2018 rape of Nikita Hand. Now, Hand has filed a fresh lawsuit accusing him and two others of “malicious abuse” of the court process during his failed appeal.

Still, that hasn’t stopped McGregor from lobbying for a spot on the UFC’s highly anticipated Fight Night at the White House next year. He also launched a petition to land on Ireland’s presidential ballot without nominations from other politicians.

“I, Conor McGregor hereby declare my intention to seek the esteemed office of President of Ireland,” the UFC star said on Monday. “The current constitutional framework however presents a significant barrier to democratic participation.”

In order to be considered a presidential candidate in Ireland, McGregor must have nominations from 20 members of the Oireachtas or four county councils — something he quickly recognized as an impossible task after a slew of politicians in his home country spoke out against his intent to run for office.

“This system, while intended to ensure a degree of political influence among candidates, inadvertently restricts the direct voice of the Irish electorate,” McGregor added.

“In light of this, I propose a petition advocating for a modification of the nomination process to allow my name be included on the ballot. I contend that the citizens of Ireland, both at home and abroad, should have the unhindered right to determine the candidates who appear on the presidential ballot.”

  • “Nobody Would Give Much of a F**K” if Jake Paul-Tommy Fury 2 Gets Booked says MFB Insider

Both Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have mentioned their desires, at different junctures, to eventually have a rematch with one another and one of the broadcasting personalities with Misfits Boxing has offered up his thoughts on the potential prizefight. With a recent appearance on Bowks Talking Bouts, Ben ‘The Bane’ Davis offered up his viewpoint on a litany of topics, including the scope of a possible sequel clash with Fury and Paul.

The former BKFC and Karate Combat fighter also has some proximity to Fury as Davis was previously being involved in the promotion for the eventually scrapped Tommy Fury vs. Darren Till fight on the Misfits Boxing circuit. When asked if a Jake Paul rematch with Tommy Fury could be a logical next step for both and perhaps a more generally feasible task for ‘The Problem Child’ than some of the prospective opponents that Paul has mentioned previously, Davis stated,

“Maybe in the context of a competitive sense. I think obviously avenging your losses is always a fun thing to do in combat sports. It shows direct and tangible improvement. But I would say that in the entertainment category, it makes no sense. Tommy Fury has done very, very little in the last couple of years. Maybe one of the only big differences between their first fight and if they did a rematch is how few people would be watching it. Nobody would give much of a f**k, truthfully, if Tommy Fury rematched Jake Paul.”

“That I think is a product of again, Jake’s insistence on promoting himself as somebody aiming for a world title, wanting legitimacy, wanting WBC-WBO recognition. Well, if you want that, then you should not fight Tommy Fury. If you don’t give a s**t about that, by all means. It’s your life, your decision-making.”

Jake Paul-Tommy Fury II and the disconnect with the former’s words and actions

As the Misfits Boxing broadcaster further expounded upon his viewpoint regarding a potential Paul versus Fury continuation of their in-ring story, Davis continued,

“But I’ve just found myself frustrated at this constant lack of connection between Paul’s actions and his words. Because if you listen to him, you’d probably be thinking, yeah, throw him in there with the best. But then he makes decisions that absolutely, completely contradict what he says on microphones and in press conferences. So I don’t know, maybe with that being said Tommy Fury is the perfect opponent [laughs] because he said he wants something legit. So maybe the opposite would be next.”

  • MFB Insider on Jake Paul vs. Chavez Jr. “One of the Fights of All Time”

MFB Insider on Jake Paul vs. Chavez Jr. “One of the Fights of All Time”

Jake Paul recently defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. under Queensberry Rules, and a Misfits Boxing broadcaster has broken down the bout as well as what could be next for the former. Appearing on Bowks Talking Bouts, Ben ‘The Bane’ Davis got into the specifics of that June 28th outing between Paul and Chavez Jr. that seemed fairly eclipsed by UFC 317 which transpired that same night.

As part of his MFB role, he hosted a Misfits Boxing faceoff interview with AnEsonGib as well as Slim circa last November. With Gib previously fighting Jake Paul in the context of offering up his thoughts on Paul’s recent fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Davis said,

“You know, it was one of the fights of all time, Dylan. I will say this [laughs], I’ve been critical of Jake Paul, and I think that there’s good reason to be because it’s been so cherry-picked in the last five years of his career. There’s asterisks kind of with every single opponent. With Julio, he was at much lighter weight classes in his career. He’s never really been like this strong force. He’s renowned because of the lineage, but I would say boxing purists and pundits know that this was about what we could expect. A version of Chavez that isn’t entirely interested in really wanting to engage and fight.”

“Which you could say that’s maybe Julio’s nature. You could say that that’s because of Jake Paul shutting him down inside the ring and presenting such offense that if Julio engaged, he would be put on the canvas. I’m not entirely sure, it really is up to you. All I know is that in the last two rounds, Julio Cesar Chavez’s sixty-one strikes, he landed forty of them in those final six minutes, and a lot of them clean. So if I’m team Jake Paul and we’re looking at a ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez or a Badou Jack next, I’m thinking, when the fight gets into the deep waters, we need to learn how to be defensively responsible.”

Jake Paul and his ceiling in the boxing game according to Davis

Getting into the somewhat complicated subject of who could be lined up as the next dance partner for Paul, Davis continued,

“This is where we get into the topic of Jake Paul’s ceiling, I don’t know if he can do that. Dylan, you know this, when you pick up a sport, anything in the combat sports realm, you kind of run into that, ‘that’s it. This is where my technique stops and plateaus.’ I think we’ve seen that with Jake Paul. So I don’t know what really could be next successfully for him, right. I think he can go get knocked out by Canelo, he can go get knocked out by Anthony Joshua, Badou Jack or ‘Zurdo’. But in terms of opponents he can win against in legit world ranking that’s where I find a bit of a dissonance.”

  • BKFC Stalwart Watched Big UFC 317 Headliner Over Paul-Chavez Jr. “I’m Not a Fan of the Paul Brothers”

The headliner for UFC 317 was the more compelling contest to watch compared to Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., which took place on the same night, in the eyes of one of BKFC’s more tenured fighters. Appearing on Bare Knuckle Bowker, Erick Lozano touched on multiple topics heading into his clash with bare-knuckle boxing debutant Alessio Sakara at BKFC Philly on July 25th.

Among his lengthy run with the promotion, the established veteran of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship had a hugely exciting fight with Jake Bostwick that saw Lozano generate an incredible, gritty performance in the BKFC 45 co-main event clash in June 2023. Bostwick had previously got into a heated sparring session with Jake Paul before Paul’s Ben Askren fight in April 2021 with the Bostwick-Paul sparring work getting some media attention at the time.

In that context, when asked for his thoughts on the recent Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. boxing bout that took place at the end of June, Erick Lozano said,

“I didn’t get a chance to catch it [Paul vs. Chavez Jr.] but I heard about it. They said that pretty much Chavez [Jr.] didn’t go out there and perform to his ability. I was more watching the; what was it? [Charles] Oliveira vs. [Ilia] Topuria in the main event for the UFC [UFC 317] rather than watching the Chavez [Jr.]-Paul fight. I’m not a fan of the Paul brothers, so.”

BKFC combatant heaps massive praise on Ilia Topuria

When asked a follow up question on the BKB podcast regarding what he enjoyed from the UFC’s International Fight Week offering, Erick Lozano stated,

“I just got to watch the main event. That’s the one I wanted to watch. I knew; I called [Ilia] Topuria finishing him in the first round. I think he’s a well rounded fighter. Right now, I think he’s the number one pound for pound fighter in the world. Right now if I had to line them up, he’d be my number one fighter.”

“An Absolute Disgrace To The Sport” – Fans & Fighters React As Jake Paul Stares Down With New Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk

The eyes of the boxing world were all on Oleksandr Usyk on July 19, as he put a beating on Daniel Dubois en route to a fifth-round knockout to once again become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

In the midst of celebrating Usyk as a GOAT in the sport, thoughts will now turn toward who will be next to face Usyk. And that’s when Jake Paul stepped forward.

Paul was present in Saudi Arabia for the Usyk-Dubois 2 showdown and entered the ring following the fight, staring down with the new two-time undisputed heavyweight champion and indicating his intentions to challenge the Ukranian world champion.

Paul stated his intentions are to face former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua next and challenging Usyk.

On social media, however, Paul stated he’s like to face Usyk in an MMA bout.

Boxing World Reacts To Jake Paul Staring Down Oleksandr Usyk After Undisputed Heavyweight Title Win

Jake Paul fought Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. last month, taking a decision win in a highly lackluster, one-sided affair. The WBA has since ranked Paul at No. 14 in its cruiserweight rankings, allowing Paul to potentially challenge for a world championship.

What comes next for Usyk if he wants to remain undisputed champion, however, may come at the mercy of others. The WBO has indicated it will enact to make its interim heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker, as the next mandatory challenger for Usyk.

  • Does Jake Paul Deserve Respect? Boxing Icon Manny Pacquiao Answers “He’s trying his best”

Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has answered the question of whether or not Jake Paul deserves respect in the boxing world.

We all know that Jake Paul is viewed as a controversial figure in the sport of professional boxing – and that much is an understatement. While he is undeniably an incredible promoter who has done wonderful things for women’s boxing in the last few years, his actual fights haven’t really garnered that much respect from the masses due to the nature of his opponents.

Of course, money talks in a lot of instances, and Jake Paul has certainly made a lot of that. As we look ahead to his future in the sport, it definitely feels like he’s got a few more tricks up his sleeves.

In a recent interview, Manny Pacquiao was asked about Jake Paul, and he gave a pretty interesting response.

    Manny Pacquiao praises Jake Paul

“I respect him, you know? He’s trying his best. He’s working hard for his dream, and he wants to be a champion. So I respect that. Not everyone can do that, putting in the work, stepping in the ring… It’s not easy.”

It’s doubtful that this is a fight we’d ever see, especially given that Pacquiao is set to return for a world title match of his own this weekend. Still, it’s a big deal to see ‘The Problem Child’ receive respect from someone of his stature, and it speaks volumes to what he’s been able to achieve thus far. Watch this space.

  • Julio Cesar Chavez Jr Arrested By ICE Days After Jake Paul Loss Over Cartel Allegations

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr Arrested By ICE Days After Jake Paul Loss Over Cartel Allegations

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. may be staring down the barrel of serious legal fallout.

On Thursday, reports emerged that Chavez Jr. had been taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents near his residence in the upscale Studio City area of Los Angeles on Wednesday. The former WBC middleweight champion now faces possible deportation to Mexico over allegations of unlawful entry into the United States.

The arrest comes just days after “La Leyenda Continua” stepped into the ring against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul at Anaheim’s Honda Center on Saturday, where he dropped a unanimous decision.

U.S. Homeland Security Links Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. To Sinaloa Cartel

In an official news release, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is wanted in Mexico on an active arrest warrant and is under investigation for alleged involvement in organized crime, including the trafficking of firearms, ammunition, and explosives.

The agency further claimed that “La Leyenda Continua” is believed to be affiliated with the notorious Sinaloa Cartel, a group designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S.

“This Sinaloa Cartel affiliate has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunitions and explosives,” read a post from the official DHS account on X.

Chavez Jr. was taken into custody after overstaying his B2 tourist visa, which had expired in February 2024. He arrived in the U.S. in August 2023, but within the same year, immigration officials alerted ICE about the 39-year-old Mexican boxer, describing him as “an egregious public safety threat.”

According to media reports, the exact location of Chávez Jr.’s detention remains undisclosed. However, he is expected to appear in court on Monday, where he will face the criminal charges levied against him.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. had reportedly submitted an application for Lawful Permanent Resident status last year, citing his marriage to U.S. citizen Frida Munoz. However, the situation grew more complex when authorities accused Munoz of ties to the Sinaloa Cartel, allegedly stemming from a prior relationship with the now-deceased son of drug kingpin Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman.

‘A Disgrace To The Sport’ – Fans & Fighters Mock, Trash Jake Paul Victory Over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

In what many people will justifiably consider to be a farce of a fight, Jake Paul scored a win in his return to the boxing ring, defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in their bout at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Paul was the only one doing any activity in the opening pair of rounds, laying in jabs and working combinations to force Chavez Jr. back, while the disgraced son of the legendary boxer failed to respond. Chavez finally did land something in the third round…one left hand.

Chavez Jr. picked up the pace for real during the fourth round, but his work still paled in comparison to the YouTuber-turned-boxer. Chavez Jr. had another burst of offensive in the sixth round, making things a little more competitive, but the fight was all Paul by this point.

After two more dominating rounds from Paul, Chavez Jr., if perhaps out of realizing he was done 8-0 in terms of rounds, put up a solid round of offense. Chavez Jr. continued to produce and had a fight-ending battle with Paul, but it wasn’t enough.

This was Paul’s first fight in the boxing ring since his infamous victory over Mike Tyson in November.

Chavez Jr. last fought a year ago, scoring a six-round decision win over former UFC fighter Uriah Hall. It was Chavez Jr.’s first boxing match in three years.

  • Jake Paul Dismisses Allegations Of Rigged Fight With Mike Tyson: ‘People Just Can’t Hit Me – I’m Too Fast’

Jake Paul isn’t entertaining any of the controversy surrounding his bout with Mike Tyson.

Paul cruised to a dominant unanimous decision victory over heavyweight icon Tyson this past November, in an event that shattered viewership records and further cemented the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s status as a mainstream attraction. However, Tyson’s underwhelming performance raised eyebrows, with critics questioning the legitimacy of the contest.

In the aftermath of the bout, accusations of a staged outcome quickly gained traction online, with a phony leaked script circulating widely and fueling further controversy. Though the script was swiftly debunked, speculation over the fight’s legitimacy has lingered.

In response, Jake Paul and his team at Most Valuable Promotions issued a formal statement denying any wrongdoing. Yet, despite their efforts to set the record straight, whispers of doubt continue to shadow the event.

Jake Paul Shuts Down Mike Tyson Fight Conspiracy

During a recent appearance on the JAXXON Podcast, Jake Paul addressed the swirling speculation that his bout with Mike Tyson was fixed. “The Problem Child” brushed off the criticism, suggesting that skeptics simply refuse to acknowledge his evolving skill set.

He emphasized that questions about the fight’s legitimacy stem from denial rather than evidence, and firmly stated that a legend like Tyson would never agree to a scripted showdown.

“Listen, this is what people say about everything,” Jake Paul said. “It’s complete bullsh*t. Mike Tyson would never do that. People just can’t hit me, that’s the thing. I’m too fast. They’re not gonna overextend themselves when they feel my power coming. Did I get hit once in the face today with a former world champion and a guy who fought for a world title?”

Jake Paul is set to make his 13th appearance in the squared circle tonight, taking on former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a cruiserweight showdown at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

“The Problem Child” enters the bout riding a five-fight win streak and carrying an 11-1 record. His only setback came in February 2023, when he dropped a razor-thin split decision to Tommy Fury.

Joseph Parker, who holds teh WBO interim heavyweight title, cautioned Jake Paul about the risks of stepping up against elite fighters with extensive experience in the sport. Speaking in an interview, Parker explained:

“Whatever Jake Paul is doing right now, he should stick to it because that is what is working for him. When you start messing with fighters that have been doing this longer than you have – and who have also achieved massive things in the sport, it can get dangerous for you. If Jake Paul genuinely wants to challenge these guys [Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua], then credit to him for having the bravery and courage within himself. However, there are levels to this game. Anthony Joshua will knock him out. I am not sure what round but if AJ lands clean, he will knock Jake Paul out.” He said to Casino Hawks – who offer the latest UK Casino Sites.

Jake Paul has made headlines by calling out established heavyweights, including Dubois, who recently invited Paul to fight for the heavyweight championship following Paul’s victory over Mike Tyson. Despite the public challenge, there are currently no confirmed plans for a bout between Paul and Dubois.

Jake Paul, 28, began his boxing career in 2020 after rising to fame as a social media influencer and actor. He holds a professional record of 10 wins and one loss, with seven victories by knockout. Most of his opponents have been celebrities, MMA fighters, or athletes from other sports, with his only defeat coming against Tommy Fury in 2023. Paul has since returned to winning ways, defeating Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland, Mike Perry, and most notably, Mike Tyson in a high-profile event.

Joseph Parker’s recent form includes a series of wins, positioning him for another world title shot.

As Paul continues to pursue high-profile opponents, the debate over his place in tboxing remains active. For now, Parker’s message is clear: there are levels in boxing.

  • Jake Paul Eyes World Title Run: “Badou Jack, Zordo, Joshua, Even Canelo Are on the Horizon”

Jake Paul Eyes World Title Run: “Badou Jack, Zordo, Joshua, Even Canelo Are on the Horizon”

Jake Paul is setting his sights higher than ever, declaring his intention to pursue a world title and naming established champions Badou Jack, Gilberto “Zordo” Ramírez, Anthony Joshua, and even Canelo Álvarez as potential opponents on his path. After building a professional boxing career that has moved beyond novelty matchups, Jake Paul now says he is in active discussions with several top fighters as he looks to prove himself against recognized names in the sport. With a record of 11-1 and an upcoming fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Paul’s latest comments mark a clear shift toward challenging for legitimate titles and stepping into the ring with some of boxing’s most accomplished athletes.

Jake Paul Wants Canelo and Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, has built an 11-1 professional boxing record since his debut in 2020, with notable victories over opponents from various backgrounds, including former MMA champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, as well as ex-NBA player Nate Robinson. Paul suffered his first defeat in a split decision against Tommy Fury in February 2023 but rebounded with a win over Nate Diaz and three subsequent knockout victories. His next bout is scheduled for June 28, 2025, against former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., as Paul continues to seek legitimacy in the sport.

In recent comments, Jake Paul revealed ongoing discussions with several prominent fighters, including Gervonta Davis, Anthony Joshua, Badou Jack, Ryan Garcia, KSI, and Tommy Fury. Among these, Badou Jack stands out as a significant target. Jack is a Swedish boxer and three-division world champion, having held the WBC super-middleweight, WBA light-heavyweight, and WBC cruiserweight titles.

Jake Paul also mentioned interest in facing Zordo, a nickname for Gilberto Ramírez, another high-profile boxer, and highlighted Canelo Álvarez as a long-term goal. Canelo is a Mexican boxer and multiple-time world champion across four weight classes, widely regarded as one of the sport’s elite, and recently became a two-time undisputed super middleweight champion.

In an interview with The Schmo, Jake Paul explained:

“Yeah, look, I mean, we’re in discussions with a lot of names-Gervonta Davis, Anthony Joshua, Badou Jack, Ryan Garcia, KSI, Tommy Fury. So there’s a lot of people on the hit list. But Badou Jack excites me a lot and I definitely want to become world champions, so going after Zordo or Badou sounds like a good game plan to me. But Canelo’s still on the horizon”

Other names Paul referenced include Gervonta Davis, an American lightweight champion known for his knockout power; Anthony Joshua, a British former unified heavyweight champion; Ryan Garcia, a lightweight contender; KSI, a fellow YouTuber and boxer; and Tommy Fury, a British boxer and reality TV personality who handed Paul his only loss. This means that Paul is considering opponents ranging from the lightweight division at 135 pounds all the way up to heavyweight at over 250 pounds.

Jake Paul’s list of potential opponents covers a wide spectrum of boxing weight classes. Gervonta Davis is a lightweight, fighting at 135 pounds. Ryan Garcia currently competes at super lightweight, which is 140 pounds. Tommy Fury has fought around the light heavyweight limit, weighing in at about 175 to 183 pounds in recent bouts.

KSI and Paul himself have competed at cruiserweight, which has an upper limit of 200 pounds. Badou Jack has held world titles at super middleweight (168 pounds), light heavyweight (175 pounds), and cruiserweight (200 pounds). Gilberto “Zordo” Ramírez is a unified cruiserweight champion, also fighting at 200 pounds. Anthony Joshua is a heavyweight, typically weighing over 250 pounds, while Canelo Álvarez has competed from light middleweight (154 pounds) up to light heavyweight (175 pounds).

Paul’s ambitions signal a shift from celebrity-driven exhibitions to seeking bouts with established champions, aiming for world title contention in the cruiserweight division and beyond.

  • Jake Paul Returns Against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. On June 28 In California

Jake Paul Returns Against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. On June 28 In California

Jake Paul will be returning to action this summer to kick off his 2025 campaign.

On Friday, Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger first reported that Paul is slated to face former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a cruiserweight showdown.

Later in the evening, “The Problem Child” himself confirmed the news, officially announcing that the bout is scheduled for June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Before finalizing his bout with Chavez Jr., Paul was deep in talks for a superfight with Canelo Alvarez, targeting a May date. However, those plans fell through when Alvarez opted to sign a lucrative deal with Riyadh Season promotion.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer even took aim at the Mexican superstar on social media, mocking Canelo’s unanimous decision win over Chavez Jr. from May 2017.

“I just defeated the baddest man on the planet and broke multiple records, and now I’m going against a former world champion with 54 wins who Canelo could barely beat,” Jake Paul wrote on X.

“The Problem Child” last stepped into the ring in November, earning a unanimous decision win over former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The 28-year-old Ohio native is riding a five-fight winning streak and boasts a professional record of 11-1. His lone defeat came in February 2023, when he suffered a narrow split decision loss to Tommy Fury.

Meanwhile, Chavez Jr. was last seen on the undercard of Paul’s bout with Mike Perry this past July, scoring a unanimous decision victory over former UFC standout Uriah Hall. The win marked his first appearance in the squared circle following a three-year layoff.

“La Leyenda Continua” reigned as the WBC middleweight champion from 2011 to 2012, successfully defending the title three times before dropping it to Sergio Martínez in September 2012. The seasoned Mexican veteran boasts a professional record of 54-6-1 with one no contest, and 34 of those victories coming by way of knockout.

  • Jake Paul Claims He Was Close To Booking Gervonta Davis Superfight

Jake Paul Claims He Was Close To Booking Gervonta Davis Superfight

Jake Paul continues to chase marquee names in his quest for boxing legitimacy.

Over the past few years, Paul has headlined a string of crossover bouts, often squaring off against ex-UFC stars. While his fight card has leaned heavily on name value and entertainment, Paul insists his long-term ambition is to capture a recognized title. His confidence only grew after defeating 58-year-old boxing legend Mike Tyson last November.

“The Problem Child” was eyeing a blockbuster clash with multi-division champion Canelo Alvarez, with the two camps allegedly deep in discussions. However, the potential superfight quickly fizzled out as the Mexican superstar dismissed the bout entirely, opting instead to sign a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season. However, that wasn’t the only high-profile opportunity that slipped through Paul’s fingers this year.

In a recent interview with iFL TV, Jake Paul stated that a mega-fight with Gervonta Davis was all but finalized, with talks advancing to the brink of an official announcement. However, the deal ultimately fell through as the reigning WBA lightweight champion chose to prioritize on his rematch against Lamont Roach Jr.

“Yeah, it was highly talked about and in negotiations, and almost ready to make happen,” Paul said. “But he has to do his rematch with Lamont and get that W. Then we’ll be able to run it back. But me and Gervonta were scheduled to fight, for sure.”

Even if the deal had gone through, the matchup would have raised eyebrows due to the extreme weight difference as “Tank” fights at lightweight, where the limit is 135 pounds. In stark contrast, Paul weighed in at a bulky 227 pounds for his recent heavyweight showdown with Tyson and typically competes in the cruiserweight division.

With potential bouts against Alvarez and Davis no longer in play, “The Problem Child” has now set his sights on former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, eyeing a blockbuster clash sometime in early 2026. Jake Paul boasts a boxing record of 11-1, with seven of those victories coming by way of knockout.

Meanwhile, Davis is fresh off a gritty majority draw against Roach Jr. last month. “Tank” remains unbeaten in his professional career, holding a 30-0-1 record with 28 wins by knockout.

  • ‘He’s Pretty Focused On Boxing’ – PFL Official Believes Jake Paul Won’t Make MMA Debut

‘He’s Pretty Focused On Boxing’ – PFL Official Believes Jake Paul Won’t Make MMA Debut

According to a PFL executive, Jake Paul has no intention of putting his boxing career on hold to transition into MMA.

More than two years have passed since Paul inked an exclusive deal with the PFL in January 2023 to make his cage debut. In partnership with the New York-based MMA promotion, “The Problem Child” launched the PPV Super Fight division, a pay-per-view platform designed to give fighters a 50% share of event profits.

Since then, the 28-year-old Ohio native has repeatedly teased his MMA debut, stirring the pot by calling out UFC superstars like Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, and other big-name fighters for a matchup in the cage.

Despite assurances from PFL chairman Donn Davis that Jake Paul will make his SmartCage debut in 2025, there has been minimal movement in that direction. Instead, the YouTuber-turned-prizefighter has kept his attention firmly on his flourishing boxing career, stepping into the ring for six bouts between February 2023 and November 2024.

And according to PFL Europe’s Head of Fighter Operations, Dan Hardy, it’s unlikely that anything will change for Paul anytime soon.

During a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Hardy noted that it’s increasingly improbable that “The Problem Child” will hit pause on his boxing career to make the switch to MMA.

“Do we ever see him in MMA? I don’t think so,” Hardy said. “I think he’s pretty focused on boxing. It’s a lot of work for him to cross over to mixed martial arts, and he’s not going to fight anybody that you’ve never heard of before. It’s going to have to be a decent name or otherwise people won’t watch it. Even old guys in MMA could still handle business, I think, with Jake Paul.”

Paul was last seen in action in November, where he secured a unanimous decision victory over the legendary Mike Tyson. “The Problem Child” was also reportedly in talks for a high-profile showdown with multi-division champion Canelo Alvarez. However, those negotiations ultimately fell through when Alvarez signed a high-paying, exclusive contract under the Riyadh Season banner.

Paul has now shifted his focus to a potential showdown with former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in 2026, even boldly predicting that he has what it takes to defeat him.

  • Jake Paul Thinks He’d ‘Beat Anthony Joshua’s Ass’ In Boxing

Jake Paul Thinks He’d ‘Beat Anthony Joshua’s Ass’ In Boxing

Some fans may believe Jake Paul is taking on more than he can handle, but his ambitions for his boxing career are bolder than ever.

Over the years, Paul has stepped into the ring for several high-profile celebrity boxing bouts, frequently facing former UFC fighters. He maintains that he’s taking his career seriously, with his ultimate goal being championship gold in the near future — especially after his victory over 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson last November.

“The Problem Child” had his eyes on a mega showdown with multi-weight champion Canelo Alvarez. However, the bout failed to come to fruition, with Alvarez outright rejecting the matchup and asserting that he only wanted to face “real fighters.” Instead, the Mexican superstar secured a hefty four-fight deal with Riyadh Season.

But now, Paul has his sights set on a new potential opponent — one who could present an even greater challenge than Alvarez.

During a recent episode of BS w/ Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer challenged former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, boldly claiming he could edge out “AJ” in a fight.

“I know my boundaries; I want to fight Anthony Joshua, because I know I will f**king beat Anthony Joshua’s ass,” Jake Paul said. “He doesn’t have a chin, and he has no skill and he’s stiff. I love you Anthony, we’e friends, all this sh*t but I want to fight you.”

“The Problem Child” also took to X, posting a photo of what appeared to be a phone call with Joshua. Teasing a potential showdown, he captioned it: “Look who called. 2026 @anthonyjoshua.”

The 35-year-old Brit also took to his Instagram Stories, posting a screenshot of his five-minute-plus phone call with Paul.

Jake Paul boasts an 11-1 record and is riding a five-fight win streak. His only setback came in February 2023, when he suffered a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury.

Meanwhile, “AJ” holds a professional record of 28-4 and was last seen in action this past September, where he endured a brutal fifth-round knockout loss to reigning IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.

  • Darren Till Targets ‘Mega PPV’ Clash With ‘Legitimate Boxer’ Jake Paul

Darren Till Targets ‘Mega PPV’ Clash With ‘Legitimate Boxer’ Jake Paul

Jake Paul is undeniably one of the most talked-about figures in crossover boxing, drawing constant callouts from fighters across the combat sports world. This time, it’s Darren Till eyeing a showdown.

Till ended his two-year hiatus after parting ways with the UFC and making his squared circle debut under the Social Knockouts banner, securing an unusual TKO victory over Mohammad Mutie.

“The Gorilla” stepped back into action under the Misfits Boxing banner in January, this time in a professional capacity, securing a sixth-round knockout victory over Anthony Taylor. It seem that the former UFC welterweight title challenger is now fully committed to his boxing career.

Till is now preparing to face Darren Stewart in the co-main event of Misfits Boxing 21 on March 29 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. However, he’s already setting his sights on several potential future opponents.

At the top of the 32-year-old Scouser’s hit list is “The Problem Child,” a fight he is eager to take on home turf in England.

During a recent interview with Genting Casino, “The Gorilla” had glowing praise for Paul and firmly vouched for his legitimacy as a true boxer.

“I think Jake is a legitimate boxer,” Darren Till said. “I think he puts real work, real hours in. He’s got a fully functional 24-hour team at hand because he’s got the money, obviously, to have this. So Jake’s a pro boxer now. Obviously, every fight I see him, he gets better. He improves. [He’s] a little bit slow, you can still see he lacks in certain areas. But by no means is he an influencer boxer that everyone was saying. For me, he’s a proper, proper boxer.”

Till further revealed that he has had his sights set on a showdown with Paul for quite some time. He also acknowledged the massive influence the YouTuber-turned-boxer wields in the combat sports world.

“He’s on my radar–am I on his? Who knows? He’s the big guy, I’m the little guy. He’s the big guy. As funny as it sounds as I’m from the UFC [but] he’s the big guy, I’m the little guy. I know what’s what. If you put an orange in front of me, it’s an orange. I just know that Jake Paul’s the big guy, I’m the little guy. I’m not gonna sit here and go, ‘I’m Darren Till from the UFC.’ He’s the big guy. I’m the little guy. So call it for what it is. That [me v Jake Paul] would be a mega pay-per-view. Not in America, in England, especially bringing in the whole Logan, Jake, KSI, me.”

“The Problem Child” last stepped into the ring in November, where he secured a unanimous decision victory over boxing legend Mike Tyson in a highly controversial heavyweight showdown.

Paul had his sights set on a high-profile showdown with Canelo Alvarez, but the fight ultimately fell through when the Mexican boxing superstar dismissed the idea, stating he was only interested in facing “real fighters.” Instead, Alvarez opted for a lucrative four-fight deal with Riyadh Season.

  • Jake Paul: Serrano Will Break Major Rousey Record In Upcoming Netflix Fight

Jake Paul’s MVP Promotions has solidified its commitment to Amanda Serrano, the Ring, WBA, and WBO featherweight champion, by signing her to a lifetime deal.

This announcement, which coincides with the confirmation of Serrano’s highly anticipated trilogy fight against Katie Taylor, marks a long-term partnership that extends beyond her active boxing career.

The agreement ensures Serrano will fight exclusively under the MVP banner for the remainder of her professional boxing journey. Additionally, she will take on the role of chairwoman of MVP’s women’s boxing initiatives, where she will lead efforts to discover, sign, develop, and promote female athletes within the company.

The upcoming Serrano-Taylor trilogy fight, scheduled for July 11 at Madison Square Garden, will headline an all-female fight card. There is a possibility that some of the women MVP is working with will appear on the undercard.

This event follows their previous encounter in November 2024, where Taylor secured a controversial unanimous decision victory in a bout that achieved record-breaking viewership. It became the most-watched professional women’s sports event in U.S. history, drawing 74 million live viewers globally.

The storied rivalry between Serrano and Taylor has captivated audiences, and their upcoming trilogy fight is expected to be another landmark event.

Jake Paul took to X to tout the upcoming Netflix fight, even stating that his fighter will surpass UFC legend Ronda Rousey’s peak purse.

“When Amanda Serrano enters the ring on July 11th, she will become the highest-paid woman in sports history for a single event. ALL SPORTS. Ronda Rousey had the record previously,” Jake Paul wrote.
