  • Jake Paul & Dana White Accuse One Another Of Challenge Dodging

Jake Paul and Dana White have entered the new year by picking up their feud right where it left off in 2021.

Days ago, Dana White made Jake Paul the following proposal: He would agree to get randomly tested for cocaine over the next 10 years if Paul agreed to get randomly tested for steroids over the next two years. This came after White shot down Paul’s request to box Jorge Masvidal or other UFC-contracted fighters such as Nate Diaz and Kamaru Usman.

As expected, Paul released a response to Dana White as he always does when White mentions his name. Paul expressed that he is not only willing to be drug tested, but he is attempting to resolve the fighter pay issue he’s been advocating for over the past year.

You can view Paul’s counterproposal below.

Paul requested that the minimum pay per fight gets increased to $50,000, that fighters receive 50% of annual revenues, and that fighters receive long-term health care after retirement.

Paul went on to provide a deadline of five days for Dana White to accept his proposal and that the above conditions must be implemented by March 31, 2022, at which point Paul would retire from boxing, enter USADA, and fight Jorge Masvidal in the UFC. Paul then closed by encouraging UFC fighters to stand up for themselves to make a change in the UFC fighter pay structure.

Dana White & Jake Paul Accuse One Another Of Challenge Dodging

After Paul’s challenge was posted, Dana White released the following video response.

“Jake, you never responded to the challenge. You publicly stated that I use cocaine. I do not. So I told you you could randomly cocaine test me for the next 10 years. I believe that you’re a cheater, and I believe that you use steroids. So I want to randomly steroid test you for the next two years.

“And that thing that you came out with today, nobody on Earth thinks that you really wrote that. You’re too stupid. And for those of you that don’t know, if you’ve ever watched one of his fights and you see when they do the staredown, the guy that’s standing in the middle with the warlock nose and the big warlock wart on his face— apparently, that’s his manager. And that guy used to be an accountant for me. And let’s just say this: He no longer works for me, and I think he’s a scumbag.

“But if you two think that you can do it better than we do, we’re doing this whole thing wrong, you can treat the fighters better than we do, knock yourself out. Go start your own business. It’s easy to do. Get the warlock on it! The warlock can get it started for ya.

“What you and the warlock should be focused on is your business. You’re tanking. You can’t sell pay-per-views. Yeah, you’re calling out Jorge Masvidal ’cause he’s a pay-per-view superstar…Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson: These are all superstars. You’re not. You can’t sell pay-per-views. So you do whatever the hell you want to do. I’m ready to roll, buddy. I don’t use cocaine. Do you use steroids? Let’s do this, Jake.”

Early Sunday morning, Jake Paul would release the following video in response, where he also accused White of dodging the challenge put forth.

In sum, Jake Paul continued to double down on Dana White’s alleged cocaine use while roasting him in general, he expressed that his willingness to be USADA tested as part of his proposal covers White’s steroid-test challenge, and he denied using steroids. Paul also continued to criticize White for his treatment of fighters and claimed to be a bigger draw than Jorge Masvidal, using his mother’s Instagram activity compared to Masvidal’s as an example.

All in all, it appears we are at an impasse. It doesn’t appear as though Paul would like to be drug tested unless White meets his terms in restructuring the UFC’s business model as it specifically pertains to the treatment and pay of its fighters. Meanwhile, White says Paul should start his own fight business if he believes he can do it better and is calling on the YouTuber to stop avoiding his original proposal.

Ironically, White has claimed that Paul already wanted to sign with the UFC in the past but was rejected. That further supports the likelihood that the only interactions that will be done between White and Paul will be on social media and in the media as a whole.

Should there be any additional responses from Paul or White, we’ll be sure to bring you the dirt right here on MMANews.com.

What do you make of Jake Paul’s proposal to Dana White?

  • Quote: The UFC Would Accept The Paul Brothers With Open Arms

UFC featherweight contender Chan Sung Jung believes Dana White would not hesitate to bring the Paul brothers to the UFC if the opportunity presented itself.

After making their names in the rapidly rising YouTube scene, Logan and Jake Paul have made a successful crossover to combat sports. While Logan tested the professional waters against fellow internet star KSI and faced one of the greatest of all time in Floyd Mayweather, Jake has been building a record and attempting to legitimize his venture to the ring.

After knocking out YouTube peer AnEsonGib and former NBA star Nate Robinson, “The Problem Child” boosted his competition to experienced combat sports veterans. In 2021, he knocked out former ONE and Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren before edging past former UFC titleholder Tyron Woodley on the scorecards.

After his chance to add the first professional boxer to his record fell through with Tommy Fury’s withdrawal, Paul ran it back with Woodley on December 18. In brutal fashion, Paul sent “The Chosen One” face first into the canvas. While many still doubt his ability to challenge the pros, no one can question Paul’s power and fundamental skills.

Zombie Sees A UFC Future For The Paul’s

Following his second triumph over a former UFC champion, Paul called out Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, two of the biggest stars in the world’s premier MMA organization. It wasn’t the first time the 34-year-old has had the UFC on his mind.

The Ohio native has consistently slammed Dana White for the promotion’s fighter pay structure, set his sights on the likes of Kamaru Usman, Conor McGregor, and Michael Bisping, and even had a face-to-face with Daniel Cormier at UFC 261. But despite the evident bad blood, one former title challenger believes the UFC would welcome Jake and his brother Logan to the promotion with “open arms.”

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung addressed the Paul brothers’ success in the squared circle. Considering the business acumen of White, the #4-ranked UFC featherweight doesn’t believe bad relations would get in the way of the YouTubers-turned-boxers making their way to the Octagon.

“I think that’s what they are planning on doing. Logan did say he was retiring from boxing. I am not sure if Logan and Jake are on good terms with Dana White. There was a shade being thrown around by Jake on Twitter. Will the UFC take Logan and Jake Paul in? With open arms. Dana White is a smart businessman and he’ll do whatever is good for business.” (h/t Calf Kicker)

The Paul brothers are yet to show any real interest in testing their skills inside the cage rather than the ring. Jake seems content on inviting top UFC names over to boxing, and given his results so far and the lucrative paychecks, who can blame him?

Nevertheless, should their success and the attention they garner continue to skyrocket, perhaps the UFC President will decide to dip his feet into the crossover market. For now, at least, White will seemingly continue to brush aside talk of doing business with the Paul brothers.

Do you agree with “The Korean Zombie?” Would Dana White welcome the Paul brothers to the UFC?

  • Jake Paul Denies PPV Buys Report But Admits Disappointment

Jake Paul has denied the reported number of buys for his latest boxing fight, although he has admitted the fight didn’t do too well.

Earlier this week, DAZN reported that Paul’s rematch fight against Tyron Woodley did a low number on pay-per-view. It reportedly sold approximately 65,000 buys. The figure for online purchases of the event are not known at the moment.

Paul has denied this rough figure but also admitted his disappointment with what he knows about the sales.

“The PPV number rumors are b*******,” said Paul in a Twitter post. “1st fight [with] Woodley we sold 500k+. Numbers for this one are still rolling in but still looking positive. Not my best business night.”

Paul gives credit to Showtime and Woodley for putting on the show, also using the opportunity to take a shot at his opposition.

“Shoutout to Showtime for riding with me and all the fighters on the card and Tyron for not being a b**** like most of these “fighters” are,” said Paul.

    Masvidal Mocks Paul over Report

    Jorge Masvidal, Jake Paul
    Jorge Masvidal, Jake Paul

UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal has run with the report about the PPV, using the stat to mock the celebrity-turned-boxer.

Masvidal talked about the reported sales and used the statistic to distance himself from a potential fight against Paul.

“Bitch boy can’t afford the big boys. Never again do I want to hear my name associated with the fake,” said Masvidal via Twitter.

Paul was originally set to face undefeated boxer Tommy Fury earlier this month. He was given Woodley as an opponent after injury forced Fury out of the matchup.

While reports say the PPV didn’t do well, it undeniably created a buzz afterward. Paul’s sixth-round knockout of Woodley currently has 10 million views on Showtime’s official Youtube page.

  • Brendan Schaub Defends Jake Paul: “Give The Guy Credit”

Commentator and former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub thinks Jake Paul’s critics need to pump the brakes when ripping Paul’s boxing career.

Paul is coming off of his sixth-round knockout win over former UFC champion Tyron Woodley to remain undefeated. He was originally slated to face Tommy Fury before Fury suffered an injury just weeks before the bout.

While Paul remains unscathed in his young boxing career, he hasn’t faced a true boxer so far during his 5-0 run.

During a recent episode of the King and the Sting podcast, Schaub came to Paul’s defense when it comes to his perceived lack of tough competition.

“Here’s the thing though, all the hate on Jake Paul and stuff I get; no, I get it,” Schaub said. “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, fight a real boxer,’ like that. Go to any; name a boxer you guys like – Tyson Fury, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Julio Chavez Senior, Junior, whoever the f**k you want, ‘Canelo’ [Alvarez], their first four fights, they were fighting cans. That’s how it should be. Jake Paul’s first four fights are way more difficult than anything your favorite boxer fought. You have to give the guy credit at some point.” (h/t Sportskeeda)

Jake Paul Has Been Criticized For Lack Of High-Caliber Competition

Before knocking out Woodley, Paul had defeated the former UFC standout via split decision earlier this year. He has also recorded knockouts against former UFC wrestling specialist Ben Askren, former NBA star Nate Robinson, and fellow YouTuber AliEsonGib.

Paul called out UFC stars Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal after defeating Woodley. He remains particularly interested in a fight with Masvidal, as the two have gone back-and-forth on social media recently.

White has remained adamant that he will not allow any current fighters on the UFC roster to break their contract to box Paul. However, Paul remains hell-bent on fighting MMA standouts for now. Nevertheless, a bout against a true boxing specialist could come soon as his star power continues to rise.

What are your thoughts on Brendan Schaub’s take?

  • White Shoots Down Paul’s Requests, Offers Wild Counterproposal

Dana White is still not open to ever doing business with Jake Paul, but he does have quite a different proposal for his nemesis.

If there were a “Rivalry of the Year” MMA award, you’d be remiss not to add Jake Paul vs. Dana White to the nominations list. There may not be a chance of the two ever fighting one another (although Paul has said that may change someday), but the two have traded shots at one another for the better part of 2021.

Most recently, after Paul knocked out former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley earlier this month, he gloated about embarrassing the entire UFC. He then reiterated his interest in fighting UFC stars, such as Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal. In Masvidal’s case, “Gamebred” expressed optimism that the right financial incentive from Paul’s camp could sway White’s mind.

Speaking in an appearance on “The FIGHT with Teddy Atlas,” White again shot that possibility down with extreme prejudice (h/t MMA Junkie).

“No (scenario I’d let Diaz or Masvidal box Paul while under UFC contract),” White said. “You notice how he wants to fight f*cking everybody that’s not in his weight class, guys that are older and all this bullsh*t. Go fight a boxer. Go hump somebody else’s leg, you goofball.”

Dana White Makes A Proposal To Jake Paul

With a fight against a UFC-contracted fighter still out of the question, Dana White would then throw out a counterproposal to the YouTuber. Paul, known to conceive of creative bets and proposals of his own, was now on the receiving end of a rather unexpected offer from the UFC boss.

“I got a challenge for Jake Paul,” White said. “This guy keeps saying that I’m a cokehead. He can randomly cocaine test me for the next 10 years if I can randomly steroid test him for the next two,” White said.

White is not the first person to throw suspension in Paul’s direction regarding steroid usage. Previous opponent Tyron Woodley also suggested that Paul was entering their initial August fight as a tainted athlete. Additionally, John Fury claimed that Paul had avoided being drug tested ahead of the originally planned bout between Paul and Tommy Fury.

As for the cokehead claim, Paul has repeatedly thrown that barb out at White, even going so far as dressing up as a coked-out Dana White for Halloween.

Thus far, Paul has always responded to every mention of his name by Dana White, so we shall see if this time is any different. Should he offer a response to White’s proposal, you can be sure that we will bring you the dirt right here at MMANews.com.

How do you predict Jake Paul will respond to this proposal from Dana White?

  • Sean O’Malley Names Two UFC Fighters Who Could Out-Box Jake Paul

UFC bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley thinks a couple of UFC stars could give Jake Paul issues in the boxing ring.

O’Malley knows a thing or two about boxing, as he’s widely regarded as arguably one of the best boxers in the UFC. He most recently earned a dominant knockout win over Raulian Paiva at UFC 269.

Paul has attracted the attention of many around the MMA community, especially after his knockout over Tyron Woodley. Paul has managed to keep up the MMA vs. boxing narrative with his fights and callouts.

During a recent segment of his YouTube podcast, O’Malley tabbed two top UFC welterweights as fighters who could challenge Paul.

“Masvidal or Kamaru would be the toughest fights for Jake boxing-wise,” O’Malley said.

After his knockout over Woodley, Paul also called out Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor as two potential opponents. Despite O’Malley’s endorsements of Usman and Masvidal to face Paul, he explained the difficulties of negotiating the potential bouts.

“Diaz, Masvidal, Kamaru, that can’t even be negotiated,” O’Malley continued. “You cannot negotiate under UFC contract, so those fights will not happen unless Dana really wants to see Jake lose and is very, very confident in one of his fighters, that they can beat him. But even then, I don’t know if he would let them fight. I don’t know. We’ll see what’s next. I don’t think it’ll be anyone on the UFC roster.”

Sean O’Malley, Jake Paul Planning On Big 2022

O’Malley has praised Jake and Logan Paul in the past, going as far as to say he’s felt inspired by watching their career transitions. The Paul brothers have managed to take their large following from content creation into the sport of boxing.

O’Malley and Paul are both on winning streaks to wrap up 2021. Paul is undefeated in his young boxing career, while O’Malley has won three UFC bouts in a row.

O’Malley and Paul are two of the more polarizing young stars in their respective sports, but that hasn’t stopped the two of them from having mutual respect for one another.

Do you think Kamaru Usman or Jorge Masvidal would outbox Jake Paul?

  • Logan Paul Alleges Floyd Mayweather Failed To Pay Him For Fight

There might’ve not been an official winner in the Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather bout earlier this year, but Paul claims he’s the financial loser.

Paul and Mayweather went the full eight rounds, with both having their moments in the ring. The bout wasn’t officially sanctioned due to the large size disparity between Paul and Mayweather, so the result was left in the hands of the viewers without an official judging decision.

Paul and Mayweather had quite the heated buildup to their exhibition, with the two sides nearly brawling at a pre-fight media day in Miami. But they appeared to squash their beef after the fight, with Mayweather going as far as to say he was impressed by Paul’s skills.

The mutual respect has appeared to run thin in recent days, as Paul accused Mayweather of failing to pay him his share for the event. He ripped the boxing legend in a recent Instagram Story post.

“Pay me my money you f***ing cornball of a human,” Paul said. (h/t The Mirror)

The Paul vs. Mayweather exhibition was a massive pay-per-view success, with the event topping at least 1 million buys on Showtime. After the fight, Mayweather seemed content on retirement and not making the Paul exhibition into a new chapter of his legendary career. He later claimed after the fight that he earned $100 million for the event.

Logan and his brother Jake took the boxing world by storm in 2021. Jake earned knockout wins over former UFC standouts Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, while Logan managed to go the distance against arguably the best boxer of all time.

It’s unclear if Paul’s allegations hold any merit, but it appears that the tension between Mayweather and the Paul brothers doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon.

What are your thoughts on Logan Paul’s accusations?

  • Henry Cejudo: Tyron Woodley Has Made Jake Paul A Star

Former UFC champion Henry Cejudo believes Tyron Woodley didn’t just lose to Jake Paul but also helped build Paul’s boxing reputation.

Paul viciously knocked out Woodley in their rematch just days ago, hitting Woodley with a big right hand that dropped him immediately. Paul remains undefeated in his young boxing career after an accomplished time in content creation.

Paul’s knockout over Woodley is arguably the most impressive of his time in the ring so far. Before the rematch with Woodley, he earned knockouts over former NBA star Nate Robinson and former UFC fighter Ben Askren.

During a recent podcast episode with The Schmo, Cejudo gave his take on how Woodley’s loss helped grow Paul’s star power.

“Man, I tell you what. This fight had to be about sleeping until that sixth-round came and it’s unfortunate because Tyron Woodley was actually winning that boring fight,” Cejudo said. “But he happened to just keep those, he just kept that left hand down, and slowly but surely Jake Paul threw that hammer and knocked him out.

“The fight was boring, the knockout was great. I mean, talk about a complete face plant by Tyron Woodley. Jake Paul, whether we hate him or love him, the dude has taken this by storm and if you really think about it man, Tyron Woodley is making this dude into a star. Made him into a star because of the simple fact that he beat a former UFC champion.” (h/t EssentiallySports)

This isn’t the first time that Cejudo has appeared to take a jab at Woodley. He most recently gave Woodley the title of the second-most cringy MMA fighter behind himself.

It’s Unclear What Could Be Next For Tyron Woodley’s Career

Despite the loss to Paul, Woodley seemed optimistic about his fighting future. Leading up to the rematch, Woodley had made his plans clear that he wants to have multiple MMA and boxing fights in 2022.

Woodley had been rumored to be in fight camp to take on former UFC fighter Dan Hardy in the new year before the Paul rematch came up. That could be a possible matchup for his return to the ring.

As for Paul, his stock continues to grow in the sport, and one could make the argument that Woodley is directly responsible for making that happen.

Do you agree with Henry Cejudo’s comments about Tyron Woodley?

  • Teddy Atlas Gives Jake Paul Credit For Respecting The Sport Of Boxing

Renowned boxing trainer Teddy Atlas has given credit to YouTuber-turned-pugilist Jake Paul for the way he’s approached his venture into the squared circle.

Five fights into his unlikely journey in combat sports and Paul is showing no sign of slowing down. Unbeaten to date, the Ohio native has certainly proved a large portion of fans and pundits wrong, something he’ll hope to continue doing in 2022. Paul will be entering the year off the back of a brutal knockout victory over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

After finishing fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA star Nate Robinson, former ONE and Bellator 170-pound titleholder Ben Askren, and Woodley, Paul was set for his first challenge from a pro boxer in the form of Tommy Fury.

After “TNT” withdrew due to a broken rib and chest infection, Woodley stepped in on short notice for his chance at redemption. But for the second time in 2021, he left the ring defeated, this time after being viciously slept by the internet star.

Atlas Appreciates Paul Learning The Sweet Science

Despite extending his unbeaten record and knocking out a recognized fighter who held UFC gold just three years ago, many still doubt Jake Paul’s boxing credentials, and suggest they’ll continue to do so until he faces a professional boxer.

While boxing royalty Teddy Atlas is under no illusions about the quality of opponents “The Problem Child” has faced, he does appreciate the way Paul has approached his career in the sport. Speaking in an interview with The Schmo, Atlas praised Paul for respecting the sport of boxing by hiring professional coaches and putting in the work necessary to be competitive inside the ropes.

“He’s smart. A lot of people hate him, but one thing I give him credit for, he didn’t disrespect the sport of boxing. He went and he learned it. Can he go and just beat anyone? Of course not. But he learned the sport. He went out there and got a professional trainer, he went to a gym for the last couple years, and he worked his backside off to become the best he can become at this point, at this stage. He respected the sport.

“He’s doing the American way. He found a way to make money without hurting anyone, I mean legally… That’s the American way, to go out there and find a way to make money. I give him credit for that. And he took advantage of an audience, a large audience, and he’s taken them with him. He’s become their ambassador.”

Discussing the next step for Paul, who has made his desire to face UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz known, Atlas suggested a clash with “Gamebred” would provide the striking test the 24-year-old needs to take the next step up the boxing ladder.

“It’s probably not gonna happen, but if he fought Masvidal, Masvidal’s a pretty good striker, that’d be interesting. That would get my attention… Look, the guy that he beat, Woodley, was a real fighter, but he was just about retired, he was 41/42 years old, not a tremendous striker, better on the mat, not a real busy guy, so he picked his spot pretty good. And again, I give him credit. He got the job done. But (it would be) a little more interesting if he fought a Masvidal because Masvidal’s a better striker and he’s more versatile… guys like that.

“I don’t wanna see him in anymore with guys where you know it’s done, like a movie; you go into a movie and you already know the ending. I wanna see him where there’s still some questions out there when he gets into that ring.”

While Paul has pushed for a bout with Masvidal, who is still under contract with the UFC, it appears the two-time welterweight title challenger isn’t pleased with the current state of negotiations. He recently slammed the $5 million the YouTube sensation offered, describing it as “chump change.”

Although it doesn’t seem likely to happen anytime soon, talk of Paul vs. Masvidal will likely exist for as long as the polarizing celebrity keeps having his hand raised.

  • Jake Paul Set For Seven-Month Layoff After KO Win Over Tyron Woodley

Jake Paul will be taking several months off before he returns to the boxing ring.

Paul was one of the most active boxers in 2021, as he had three fights and had four in the span of 13 months. It was an incredible feat for Paul, who ended the year with a vicious KO win over Tyron Woodley.

Now, sources have told the Mirror that Paul will now take an extended break from the ring to take his first holiday in six years before focusing on promoting the undisputed lightweight title fight between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor.

Of course, Paul’s promotion, Most Valuable Promotion, recently inked a deal with Serrano, and after her dominant win on the Paul-Woodley 2 undercard, it set up a massive fight between her and Katie Taylor. It will arguably be the biggest women’s boxing fight of all time, and Paul’s focus will be on promoting that event.

    Jake Paul
    USA Today

“She’s put in thousands and hundreds of hours in the gym and she deserves the big payday that she’s going to get,” Paul said on an episode of his brother’s podcast Impaulsive. She deserves to be able to retire from boxing and not work again. That hasn’t been the case for women’s boxing, they’ve been underpaid and taken advantage of. It’s an amazing accomplishment for me to be able to help her and she’s such an awesome person.”

Jake Paul is currently 5-0 as a pro boxer and coming off a KO win over Woodley back on December 18 as mentioned. Prior to that, he edged out a split decision over Woodley in August. In April, he knocked out Ben Askren in the first round in what some considered to be his first real test. He also holds a knockout win over Nate Robinson and YouTuber AnEsonGib.

Who Paul will box in his return is uncertain, but it’s now likely he will return at the end of summer in another big fight.

Who would you like to see Jake Paul box next?

  • Jake Paul’s Mom Blasts John Fury For Vulgar Comments At Press Conference

Jake Paul’s mom, Pam Ann Stepnick, was not happy with John Fury’s comments at the press conference.

When Paul was supposed to box Tommy Fury, Tommy’s dad, John had some vulgar comments to Jake during the press conference. However, after all the talk, Fury pulled out of the fight which Pam wasn’t surprised about.

“Well, I was unhappy. I really wanted Jake to fight Tommy, just because of all the back and forth. But it wasn’t really a surprise, when you just got down to it, because he didn’t show up to the first press conference,” Stepnick said to IFL TV.

“And then the other press conference, it was just his dad, you know, just being really, totally disgusting. And Tommy wasn’t saying anything. So, he did seem overwhelmed and a little bit afraid. So, I don’t know. I mean, I’m glad he showed a scan. But, you know, for all I know, they’re fake scans. So, who knows?”

    John Fury

Although Jake Paul and Tommy Fury ended up not fighting, Pam admits she was still mad with what Fury had to say. The press conference was full of vulgar comments which forced BT Sport to have to apologize. And for Paul’s mom, she said it was disgusting that a man would bring up Jake’s girlfriend among other topics.

“It was so disgusting that I turned it off. I never miss something that Jake is doing, like ever, probably since he was, you know, five years old. But I just couldn’t take these disgusting, vulgar comments from him,” Stepnick said about Fury’s comments. “And I don’t know why he was doing the talking; he’s not the fighter. You know, talking about Julia [Rose] that way; it just, it was needless and disgusting.”

In the end, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury never got the chance to fight. But after Paul’s KO win over Woodley, perhaps the bout will get rebooked.

  • César Chávez Jr. Says He Would Retire, Reject Fight Purse If He Lost To Paul

Former WBC Middleweight Champion Julio César Chávez Jr. would retire from boxing and not take his fight purse if he were to lose to Jake Paul.

César Chávez Jr. was recently asked his thoughts on a fight against Paul. This comes after Paul’s management claimed he asked for a bout against the prizefighter.

The experienced boxer set harsh penalties for himself if he were to lose but also mentioned his expectation to defeat the celebrity-turned-boxer.

“I hope I can get a few million with Jake Paul. If he beats me, I’ll retire, I don’t get paid. I don’t want money if I don’t beat him,” said César Chávez Jr. in an interview with TV Boxeo. “Retirement – not interested in his money if I do not win.” (h/t DAZN).

César Chávez Jr. And Paul Riding Momentum

César Chávez Jr. sees a fight against Paul as something that could be lucrative and successful for him. While acknowledging the viral success that Jake and his brother Logan have generated, he doesn’t see Paul’s fighting style as a problem for him.

“[The Pauls] generate a lot of expectations and money, a match with me would be good. They haven’t learned how to fight well and I can take advantage of that. Jake Paul can punch, but he’s not a boxer,” he said.

César Chávez Jr. was a successful boxer for nearly an entire decade, although he has struggled in recent years. The 35-year-old has lost three of his last five fights, including a bout against former UFC Champion Anderson Silva in June.

César Chávez Jr. returned to the win column earlier this month, scoring a unanimous decision win over David Zegarra in Mexico.

Paul, still undefeated, is also coming off a win. He scored a highlight-reel knockout earlier this month, knocking out former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley over a week ago.

Would you like Jake Paul to face Julio César Chávez Jr. next?

  • Jake Paul Teases Potential NFL Tryout After Boxing Career

Jake Paul may be still in the infancy of his boxing career, but he’s already thinking about what could be next in another athletic journey.

Paul is just one week removed from his vicious knockout over Tyron Woodley to remain undefeated in boxing. After he was originally slated to face Tommy Fury, he fought Woodley on short notice after Fury withdrew due to an injury.

Jake and his brother Logan have always been athletes, dating back to their time competing in high school wrestling in Ohio. But Jake has big ambitions, including a potential attempt at making it in the National Football League at some point.

During a recent episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Paul explained why a tryout in the NFL may not be far-fetched down the line.

“I wanna go to NFL after this,” Paul said. “Like legitimately, just to play like safety and just deck people. I swear to God, I’m about to bring hella ratings to whatever team I’m on.” (h/t Sportskeeda)

Paul later alluded to a potential tryout with his hometown team, the Cleveland Browns.

“Would you have ever thought that I would play for the Cleveland Browns? No, right? That would be crazy. I could run a 4.34. I have the size, I have the power, I can knock people out with one punch. So why can’t I play free safety?”

Jake Paul Has Also Hinted At A Move To MMA

Paul has garnered quite a high amount of star power in the boxing world but has also teased a transition to MMA in the future. During the lead-up to his rematch with Woodley, he claimed that he’s been in talks to train at the American Kickboxing Academy alongside some of the all-time MMA greats, including Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, the YouTuber may have just been joking in making this claim.

Paul appears to just be getting started in this post-YouTube venture, and the next few years could go a long way at determining how his story may ultimately end.

What are your thoughts on Jake Paul as an athlete?

  • Tommy Fury Blasts Jake Paul For Continuing To Call Out MMA Fighters

Tommy Fury doesn’t get why Jake Paul cares to box UFC fighters.

After Paul knocked out Tyron Woodley last Saturday, he called out several people, including Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz, who are massive stars in the UFC. Yet, Fury was hoping they would rebook their fight, as the Brit was forced to withdraw due to a rib injury.

Paul stated before the Woodley rematch that he doesn’t know if he will rebook the fight against Fury. And for the Brit, he doesn’t understand what Paul gets by beating wrestlers turned boxers and other MMA fighters. (h/t The Scottish Sun)

“I see he has gone back to calling out all these MMA people, I don’t see what he is trying to achieve by calling out UFC people,” Fury said in an interview on his promoter’s YouTube channel. “If he wants to be a boxer, then fight a boxer. He keeps fighting wrestlings who would kill him in a cage every day of the week. He would beat Nate Diaz and all these other MMA fighters (in a boxing bout) 100 percent because they are not boxers.”

    Jake Paul Tommy Fury
    Photos via Instagram @jakepaul @tommyfury

The fight between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury did make some sense due to the fact they are both massive social media stars and are both young and undefeated. Most importantly, Fury is also a real pro boxer, which many people have been clamoring for Paul to fight.

Fury has also made it clear he wants to box Paul next and promises he would’ve KO’d the YouTuber in the first round had he boxed Paul last weekend.

“If that was me in the ring on Saturday night, it wouldn’t have got out of the opening bell,” Fury said.

Whether or not Tommy Fury vs. Jake Paul will happen is unclear. However, it certainly appears as though Fury still wants the fight, and it is almost sure to still be a big pay-per-view if rebooked.

Do you think we will see Tommy Fury vs. Jake Paul next?

  • Jake Paul Issues Warning To Families Across America Before Christmas

Jake Paul has a warning for not only fighters but their families and indeed families across this country as they prepare to celebrate Christmas.

Last weekend, Jake Paul lived up to the promotional tagline of his rematch with Tyron Woodley when he Left No Doubt about who was the better man. He achieved this by sending Woodley into the shadow realm in the sixth round with a face-planting knockout.

    Jake Paul, Tyron Woodley

After the fight, Paul immediately began to look ahead at what and who might be next. Soon after he began that exploration, he came to the conclusion that his search might be in vain after the world witnessed what he just did.

“The fact that I proved I have one-punch power on a legend of this sport, people are gonna be scared,” Paul said during the post-fight press conference. “That’s why Masvidal and Nate Diaz got up out their seats and left. Because they didn’t want me to jump out the ring and start going at them. But people should be scared. Everyone’s on high alert.”

Ironically, Nate Diaz has said that it was Paul who wanted the protection, with Diaz claiming that Paul hired a security team to ensure that the UFC vet wouldn’t get to him. As for Masvidal, since Paul made the above remarks, he has begun to publicly negotiate a possible fight with him somewhere down the line.

Paul’s message was not limited to fighters, however. Indeed, when Paul says that everyone needs to be on high alert, the “12 Days of Christmas” artist literally means everybody. So as millions of Americans convene on this Christmas Eve, this former Disney star has a warning about who might be coming down their chimneys overnight with a very unwanted gift.

“Everyone’s a target. No one’s safe. Hide your kids. Hide your wife. I’m like Santa Claus. I’m coming down your chimney and I’ll fuck everybody up. I’ll fuck your whole family up.”

  • Nate Diaz Makes An Accusation Against The “Paul Sisters”

Nate Diaz is happy to do some light trolling with the Paul brothers.

Diaz recently addressed Jake Paul in a social media post, claiming that he isn’t concerned about the celebrity-turned-boxer. He claimed that Paul and his brother Logan recently hired security to follow him around at a boxing event.

Diaz was in attendance last weekend for an event that was headlined by Jake Paul. The main event saw Paul score a knockout win, stopping former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley in the sixth round.

Diaz was there to support Chris Avila, a former Bellator fighter who picked up a decision victory against Anthony Taylor.

Thursday, Diaz posted a photo of him posing with two security guards at the event along with his accusation against the Paul brothers in the captions.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CX2GEN_PQce/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

“The Paul sisters hired this security team to make sure I wouldn’t get to them, like I was actually trying too, but it’s alll good with u guys I don’t take this fight thang with u2 serious.you guys playing boxing with wrestlers who can’t box or lil a** Floyd and that’s not cool bruh but it’s good,” said Diaz via Instagram. “I’m a real fighter from the real fight game so don’t trip so hard when you see me fellas let’s just be friends it’s good.”

It’s unknown whether the Pauls truly hired security to follow around Diaz, or if it’s another lighthearted jab being thrown by the witty UFC legend. Either way, it doesn’t seem like the MMA talent plans to cross over and face Jake Paul anytime soon.

All recent activity from Diaz indicates that he wants to continue his MMA career. Earlier this month, Dustin Poirier and Diaz mutually expressed interest in fighting. However, public comment from Diaz has led people to believe negotiations on that fight might have stalled.

Diaz last competed over the summer, going five rounds against welterweight prospect Leon Edwards in a unanimous decision loss.

  • Paul: I Make More Than Every UFC Fighter Combined, Including McGregor

Jake Paul isn’t afraid to boast about the leaps he’s made in and out of the boxing ring, including when it comes to the amount of money he’s made.

This week, Paul claimed that he makes more than everyone on the UFC roster, including the promotion’s biggest star in Conor McGregor.

Paul is fresh off of his sixth-round knockout over Tyron Woodley, which was the fourth overall in his young boxing career. After the fight, he called for fights with some of the UFC’s biggest stars, including Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal.

During a recent episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Paul went as far as to say that he makes more than all UFC fighters, which gives him leverage in any future negotiations with them.

“I make more than every UFC fighter f****** combined, including Conor,” Paul said. (h/t The Mirror)

Paul went on to explain his reasoning behind the claim that he out-sells the UFC roster.

“Y’all work for f***ing Dana, y’all work for WME, Endeavor, that’s who you work for. I make more than all of you silly mother*******. Why would I go into the UFC? Sign a contract and give away my f***ing rights and s***. I own my content, I own my platform, I own everything.

“They don’t own s***, they are literally employees. I’m a f****** CEO and every UFC fighter is an employee. Get that straight. I’m not coming over there and doing s*** with y’all. Suck my nuts.”

Coincidentally, McGregor made a similar claim to Paul’s just months ago when he topped the Forbes highest-paid athletes list and opted to boast about his wealth.

Paul & Masvidal Are Negotiating On Social Media For A Fight

Paul has turned his attention to a potential fight with Masvidal, as tensions between the two sides escalate. Paul and Masvidal recently went back-and-forth on social media regarding a potential opportunity to box each other.

Masvidal also invited Paul to fight on a one-fight deal in the UFC if the promotion doesn’t let him out of his contract.

It’s unclear if the Paul vs. Masvidal deal will ever get done, either in the Octagon or in the ring. In any event, Paul seems hell-bent on another matchup with a UFC star in the ring as he continues to change the landscape of boxing.

What are your thoughts on Jake Paul’s comments?

  • Paul Finds Masvidal’s Asking Price Hilarious Based On Presented Data

Jake Paul can only laugh at Jorge Masvidal for turning down his $5 million offer because it was not enough money.

After Paul knocked out Tyron Woodley on Saturday night, he called out several UFC fighters like Nate Diaz and Masvidal. After the fight, “Gamebred” released a video saying he fights either the best in the world or for the most money, and Paul’s $5 million offer is not that.

However, Robert Littal of Black Sports Online posted on social media about Masvidal’s career estimating earnings, which he claims is a total of $4 million.

“Jorge Masvidal says the $5 million Jake Paul offered him for a boxing match is chump change. In 50 MMA fights Masvidal has made a total of $3.5-4 million in his career.”

To no surprise, Jake Paul saw the tweet and just laughed about it seeing what Jorge Masvidal has allegedly made in his career.

Although Littal claimed Masvidal only made $4 million, that is not necessarily true. For years now in most regions, the pursues of UFC fighters have not been released, so it is not certain how much he has made.

Along with that, the pay-per-view bonuses and other UFC under-the-table bonuses are also not included, as fighters like Daniel Cormier have claimed the UFC has given him $1 million after some fights due to the promotion being high on those bouts.

Jake Paul, as mentioned, is coming off a highlight-reel KO win over Woodley to improve his record to 5-0. Who he will fight is uncertain, as he has called out several fighters, but there is no question that whoever he faces next will be another big pay-per-view.

Jorge Masvidal, meanwhile, does not have his next fight booked. He was set to return at UFC 269 against Leon Edwards, but an injury forced him out of the fight.

What do you make of Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal’s back-and-forth?

  • Masvidal Calls on Paul, McGregor, Covington or Edwards to “Sign The Contract”

Jorge Masvidal is no longer holding back and is calling out some potential opponents.

Jorge Masvidal is gearing up for a fight. Although he doesn’t have one name in mind, he is now calling for a bunch of fighters to answer his call.

Masvidal has taken to his Instagram to make a few call-outs while filming a video of himself skiing. In the post, he expresses his feeling about a few of the most popular fighters today and asks for them to sign a contract.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CXzQiVqII-J/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=6eed3bde-7f5e-4880-b089-9c23b7fbe793

“I’m off the injury list and these little b—hes don’t want to sign the contract. The contracts have been handed,” Masvidal said (via Sportskeeda.) “It’s in their f—ing face, they know I’m off the injury list. I’m trying to get some paychecks, but in the meantime, since I can’t rip these b—hes up, I’m going to rip these mountains up.”

Masvidal did have a fight lined up with Leon Edwards for Dec. 11; however, Masvidal was forced out of that fight after suffering from an injury. He claims he is healed up now and could entertain rescheduling with Edwards.

Masvidal is one of the most wanted fighters on the UFC roster at this time. He seems to have his choice of multiple opponents. He named a few top prospects while on top of the mountain.

“You little pu–ies got to blurt my name out, then actually sign the contract. From that little actress that works at Disney Channel [Jake Paul], forgot his name, he just fought. To the little b—h that sells cheap-a-s whiskey [Conor McGregor] to the fragile motherf—-er that’s always getting his face broken [Colby Covington] – all you little b—-hes can get it, man,” Masvidal said. “The one who’s in England that was talking s–t [Leon Edwards], you too, man. Come on, one of you sign the dotted line. Let’s go. Yes, I’m going to embarrass you and knock you the f–k out.”

The most likely options from this bunch seem to be Covington and Edwards. As mentioned, Edwards had agreed to face Masvidal earlier this year and could very well agree to do so again, especially with champion Kamaru Usman asking for time off.

Another possible scenario is Masvidal and Covington being paired together, perhaps even coaching opposite each other on a season of The Ultimate Fighter. This is something that they both have expressed interest in.

Whichever option should come to light, fans will be happy to see Masvidal healed up and ready to get back to work.

Who from this list would you like to see Jorge Masvidal face next?

  • Cormier Criticizes Woodley For KO Meme Contest, Blames Jake Paul

Daniel Cormier isn’t a fan of how Tyron Woodley has handled himself following his sixth-round knockout loss to Jake Paul.

Woodley has rolled with the punches since the devastating defeat, even going as far as hosting a fan contest on his Instagram for the best knockout meme. He ended up paying one fan $5,000 for a meme that went viral earlier this week.

Woodley appears to be optimistic about his fighting future and is handling the loss on his terms. However, Cormier doesn’t like the optics of Woodley making fun of himself in light of the vicious knockout.

Cormier explained his position during a recent episode of ESPN’s DC & RC.

“It’s a bad look. And you know what’s worse? [What happened] after,” Cormier said of Woodley. “I don’t know what T-Wood was doing on social media. He pulls the knockout. He made a contest about [making memes of himself], it’s like Jake Paul is beating these dudes so bad, that they start to make fun of themselves.” (h/t Sportskeeda)

Tyron Woodley Looks To Get Back To His Old Winning Ways

Woodley took the fight on just days’ notice after Tommy Fury pulled out due to an injury. He was allegedly getting ready for a fight in January when the call came for a rematch with Paul.

Woodley has appeared forward-thinking after the loss to Paul, hinting at a busy 2022. He’s planning on potential boxing and MMA fights as he approaches his 40th birthday.

Woodley has had his fair share of struggles as of late. Before his back-to-back losses to Paul in the boxing ring, he lost four-straight bouts in the UFC before ultimately parting ways with the promotion.

What are your thoughts on how Tyron Woodley has handled the KO loss to Jake Paul?

  • Management: Jake Paul Has Asked To Fight Julio César Chávez Next

Jake Paul has asked to fight a boxer not named Tommy Fury next: second-generation veteran Julio César Chávez Jr. The news comes courtesy of Paul’s management team.

Paul is always searching for the next co-star to his next pay-per-view venture. Typically, and almost exclusively, those targets are mixed-martial-artists, as evident by his three most recent wins over Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley (2).

Now, instead of unrealistic callouts of someone like Canelo Álvarez, Paul is eying Chávez Jr. as his next opponent.

“It shows how impressive Jake is that people think this should be his next opponent. Even more impressive is that Jake messaged @Nakisabidarian and said let’s get this one next,” the Instagram Story of BAVAFA Sports read.

Tagged in the story is Nakisa Bidarian, the founder of BAVAFA Sports management.

Julio César Chávez Jr. is the son of legendary boxing Hall of Famer Julio César Chávez Sr. Chávez Jr. is a multi-time WBC champion with a professional record of 53-6. Many MMA fans may best know him as the man Anderson Silva defeated in a stunning upset earlier this year.

As it happens, Silva has expressed interest in doing business with the Paul brothers in the past. In fact, UFC President and arch-nemesis of Jake Paul, Dana White, has also co-signed this matchup. For Paul’s part, he hadn’t ruled the idea out but was less than enthused due to Silva’s age (46) being a possible discrediting factor should he emerge victoriously.

Age aside, there’s no denying that Silva looked very impressive in his first boxing match since 2005 against Chávez Jr. Silva would then follow up that performance by making short work of fellow MMA legend Tito Ortiz in September.

Given the glaring fact that Chávez Jr. is a common opponent to Paul and Silva and the fact that a Paul/Silva matchup has been called for by a sizable number of fans, this could all be Paul’s way of setting a potential trap for “The Spider,” one that the UFC legend would gladly glide right into.

What do you think about a fight between Jake Paul and Julio César Chávez Jr.? Any interest?

  • Jake Paul & Jorge Masvidal Publicly Negotiate Potential Fight

Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal have publicly begun negotiations for a potential fight.

Last weekend, Jake Paul left no doubt who was the better man in his trilogy with Tyron Woodley when he knocked out “The Chosen One” in the 6th round. One man who was in attendance to witness the violence was Jorge Masvidal, who has a history with both men.

Masvidal’s and Woodley’s friendship dates back years from their time shared at American Top Team. “Gamebred” became acquainted with Paul in the lead-up to the Paul/Askren bout April, with the MMA vet giving the YouTuber a few pointers in a loose training session.

That alliance would deteriorate ahead of the first fight between Paul and Woodley after Masvidal predicted Woodley would make easy work of Paul. This prompted Paul to brand Masvidal a “hoe” who easily switched up, perhaps unaware of Woodley’s and Masvidal’s friendship that long predated his acquaintance with the Miamian.

After Paul knocked out Woodley, he addressed Masvidal and Nate Diaz in his in-ring interview, stating that the two BMFs were shook from what they witnessed and wanted no part of a fight with him. Masvidal has since responded to the quasi-callout, stating that Paul could not afford him.

Jake Paul Throws Out An Initial Offer To Masvidal

Tuesday, Paul put Masvidal’s assumption about his budget to the test by throwing out an initial offer to “Gamebred.”

“Masvidal is like, ‘I only fight the best people or I fight for money, and you’re neither one of those,’” said Paul on the IMPLAUSIVE podcast. “Masvidal, I’ve got an offer for you right now: $5 million guarantee, plus percentage of pay-per-views.

“That’s the most you would have ever made in a fight, ever. So now you can’t say, ‘I either fight the best, or I fight for money.’ … Let’s make it happen.”

Jorge Masvidal would soon respond with a counteroffer.

“1. The ufc isn’t gonna let me go for chump change. 2. Make that 20 guaranteed plus Ppv and I’m sure the ufc will be ok with it as long as I break them off their fee and then I’ll gladly break your face.”

“If the ufc still says no because the money is still too low then come over to the ufc, sign a 1 fight deal and we can stipulate I can only box in the cage. If i do anything other than that I will forfeit my purse to you. Come on over and get paid and laid out.”

These negotiations are being made despite the public knowledge that Dana White’s skin crawls at the very thought of Jake Paul and he has assured that he will never do any business with him. Then again, even the wealthiest of men have a price. Time will tell if Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal can find Mr. White’s.

Do you think there’s any chance we see a boxing match between Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal?

  • Tyron Woodley Pays Fan $5,000 For Best Meme Of His KO Loss To Paul

Tyron Woodley has stuck to his word.

Woodley on social media announced that he was holding a contest for fans to create the best meme of him being knocked out by Jake Paul. He said he saw all the memes of the KO, so he wanted to have fun with it and the winner would get $5,000.

On Tuesday, the winner was revealed as Woodley took to Instagram to share the best meme and proof he sent $5,000 to the fan.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CXwI1gxLY2K/

In the video, the Instagram user named Chris Ashley posted a video featuring Woodley’s knockout that shows him falling into the shadow realm while taking trips through several locations, including the new Spider-Man movie and being a part of Finding Nemo before ending up face down on a couch alongside Ben Askren and Nate Robinson, who suffered the same fate when clashing with the social influencer turned boxer.

Alongside the three who suffered KO losses to Paul was Conor McGregor after being knocked out by Dustin Poirier in January, which the YouTuber made famous by making the “Sleepy McGregor” chain and sending it to Poirier.

Although Woodley did suffer a vicious KO at the hands of Paul on Saturday, the good news is he is having fun with the loss. He is having his fans create memes and paying them for their hard work.

Tyron Woodley Aims To Bounce Back From Meme Infamy

Tyron Woodley is now 0-2 as a boxer and is 0-6 in his last six fights between MMA and boxing. However, he made it clear he would come back and that this was not the end of him in combat sports.

“I’m not done,” Woodley said at the post-fight press conference. “Please do not look at me with sorrow eyes. Please do not look at me shaking your head. I done f*cked a lot of people up. A lot of people had to have that talk in the locker room. A lot of coaches had to go back to the drawing board. A lot of people, in their mind, they knew that they knew, and I saw in their faces and I broke their heart when I took that from them.

“At some point, you’re going to have to start putting a little bit of respect on Jake’s name. I never really disrespected him as a power puncher,” Woodley continued. “That’s something we always knew. That’s why my defense was so tight. Had he dropped his hand on me, the same sh*t would have happened. I can’t cry over spilled milk. I’m blessed to be here. I’m blessed for the opportunity to fight again and show you guys that I’m f*cking still here.”

What do you make of Tyron Woodley paying the fan $5K for his meme?

  • Mike Perry’s Manager Calls For Jake Paul Boxing Match Next

MMA manager Ibrahim Kawa thinks former UFC fighter Mike Perry should be Jake Paul’s next foe in the boxing ring.

Perry is just weeks removed from his win over Michael Seals on the Triller Triad Combat card, which featured MMA fighters paired up against boxers. He won the fight via split decision.

Perry and Paul have a bit of history, stemming from the two of them training together earlier this year. The two sparred against one another in the ring, before things turned hostile and the two of them sparred on social media.

Paul most recently knocked out Tyron Woodley to remain undefeated in the boxing ring. It’s unclear who he’ll fight next, but Kawa believes Perry should get serious consideration.

Mike Perry’s Manager Thinks Perry Is Jake Paul’s Fight To Make

“Would like to remind the world that [Jake Paul] hasn’t fought a boxer yet but [Mike Perry] has and won,” Kawa tweeted. “I’m just saying, Perry vs. Jake might be the fight.”

After losses in four of his last five UFC fights, Perry signed with Bare Knuckle FC and is expected to make his promotional debut sometime next year. It’s unclear who his first opponent in BKFC will be.

Perry has conveyed interest in both MMA and boxing in recent months. At 30 years old, he’s still arguably in the physical prime of his career and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down his activity.

As for Paul, he’s most recently called out Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal for fights. However, with those two currently under UFC contract, he may opt to fight Tommy Fury who was supposed to be his original opponent before Woodley stepped up on short notice.

What do you think about a possible Mike Perry vs. Jake Paul boxing match?

  • Tyron Woodley After Jake Paul Loss: “I’m Not Done”

Former UFC champion Tyron Woodley remains optimistic about his combat-sports future after back-to-back losses to Jake Paul in the boxing ring.

Woodley fell short of revenge against the always-polarizing Paul, getting hit by a powerful right hook that sent him collapsing to the canvas in round 6. It was a relatively uneventful fight to that point, with both fighters appearing hesitant to push the action and seeming hell-bent on working in the clinch.

Many fans in the combat sports community quickly wrote Woodley off following the knockout loss, but he remains forward-thinking ahead of the new year. During his post-fight press conference, Woodley encouraged fans not to forget his name just yet.

“I’m not done. Please don’t look at me with [sad] eyes,” Woodley said. “Please don’t look at me shaking your head. I done fucked a lot of people up. And a lot of people had to have that talk in the locker room, a lot of coaches had to go back to the drawing board, a lot of people in their mind, they knew that they knew that they knew. And I saw it in their face and it broke their heart when I took that from them.”

While Woodley was upset with the result in the rematch against Paul, he feels he’s in a great position to bounce back.

“I can’t cry over spilled milk,” Woodley continued. “I’m blessed to be here, and I’m blessed for an opportunity to fight again and show you guys that I’m fuckin’ still here. And I told my coaches in the back: I said, ‘He back. The young, hungry bull that started and went on this crazy run in the UFC, and Strikeforce, and all these different organizations: he was back. And I can actually say that I was back.”

Tyron Woodley Has Teased An Active Year In 2022

Woodley’s comments come after he’s spoken about his plans in moderation for 2022. He’s hinted at a potential return to MMA, as well as boxing, as he approaches his 40th birthday.

Woodley was released by the UFC following four-straight losses in the Octagon. Beginning with losing his welterweight title to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235, he arguably looked like a shell of his former self in additional bouts against Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington.

Before taking the Paul rematch on short notice, Woodley had allegedly been working towards a boxing return in January. Former UFC welterweight Dan Hardy had reportedly been on a small list of potential opponents for his next fight.

It’s unclear what exactly is next for the former UFC champion, but Woodley seems hell-bent on continuing to compete in multiple aspects of fighting moving forward.

What do you think should be next for Tyron Woodley?
