Bia Mesquita found herself in some trouble, but she rallied to score yet another submission, defeating Melissa Mullins during the UFC Vegas 119 preliminary card.
Mesquita took to the center of the Octagon, looking to come forward on Mullins, who stayed on the outside and looked to counterattack. The two each fired off straights, with Mullins clipping Mesquita and scoring a takedown on the jiu-jitsu legend.
Mesquita, however, managed to lock up one of Mullins’ arms from the bottom when Mullins went for an elbow. Mesquita nearly put Mullins down on her stomach for an armbar, scoring the submission win.
