Patchy Mix Addresses Controversial Loss To Debutant Jakub Wiklacz At UFC 320 – ‘Can’t Win Split Decisions And Be Happy’

Patchy Mix handled his recent setback with composure.

Mix squared off against former KSW champion and promotional newcomer Jakub Wiklacz on the UFC 320 preliminary card, held Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Although, the former Bellator bantamweight champion found early success with his wrestling, timing takedowns off kicks and controlling portions of the fight on the mat. His grappling transitions were sharp, but Wiklacz’s constant movement and submission attempts kept Mix from settling into a rhythm.

As the bout wore on, fatigue became a factor, and “No Love” struggled to impose his will against Wiklacz’s relentless pressure and punishing bodywork. Though Mix closed strong with top control in the final round, the judges ultimately favored his opponent’s overall activity and striking volume, awarding him a razor-thin split decision win with scores of 29-28, 29-28, and 28-29.

Patchy Mix Reflects On UFC 320 Loss To Jakub Wiklacz

After dropping a controversial split decision setback to Jakub Wiklacz at UFC 320, Patchy Mix took to social media on Saturday to address the outcome. In a brief video message, “No Love” showed humility and acknowledged the loss even though many fans felt he had done enough to win.

“Walking home from the arena, man, it just hits you, you know?,” Mix said. “Just got to keep it in perspective. Can’t win split decisions and be happy when I win them and then when I lose them, I can’t be upset, either. Much respect to my opponent and his team, and just got to get back to the drawing board, get better.”

Back in June, Patchy Mix made his much-anticipated Octagon debut against Mario Bautista at UFC 316, but the night didn’t go his way as he dropped a one-sided unanimous decision. Now facing consecutive setbacks in the UFC, the 32-year-old New Yorker stands at 20-3 in his professional career, with 15 of those victories coming by way of finish.

“Biggest Fraud In UFC History” – Fans And Fighters Blast Patchy Mix’s Performance, Debate Scorecards In Split Decision Loss To Jakub Wiklacz At UFC 320

Patchy Mix’s UFC run thus far has continued to be a disappointment, as he came up just short on the scorecards against the debuting Jakub Wiklacz during the UFC 320 preliminary card.

Wiklacz started strong, controlling the first round with his grappling and top pressure. The second round proved to be the most competitive, as Mix rallied with his own pressure and clinch work. Wiklacz, however, focused on body shots to score in his own way.

Mix used his wrestling in the third round to control the action and land strong ground strikes. It wasn’t enough, however, as two of the three judges gave the fight to Wiklacz.

Mix, the former Bellator bantamweight champion, made his UFC debut at UFC 316 in June, losing in one-sided fashion to Mario Bautista.

This marked the UFC debut for Wiklacz, the former KSW bantamweight champion. He entered tonight 6-0-1 in his last seven.

Patchy Mix Set For UFC 320 Return After Mario Bautista Spoiled His Octagon Debut

The UFC 320 lineup is starting to fall into place.

On Thursday, the promotion announced that Patchy Mix will make his return at UFC 320, where he’s set to welcome reigning KSW bantamweight champion Jakub Wikłacz for his Octagon debut.

Mix made his promotional debut at UFC 316 in June, but the night didn’t go his way as he suffered a lopsided unanimous decision loss to rising contender Mario Bautista. Before that setback, “No Love” was riding a seven-fight winning streak in Bellator, where he reigned as bantamweight champion.

The 31-year-old American boasts a professional record of 20-2, with 13 of those victories coming by submission.

Meanwhile, Wikłacz last competed at KSW 95 in June 2024, where he successfully defended his bantamweight crown with a second-round submission of Sebastian Przybysz. “Masa” is riding a seven-fight unbeaten streak and carries a professional record of 16-3-2, with 10 of those victories coming via submission.

  • ‘Biggest Fraud Check Of 2025’ – Fans React To Patchy Mix Falling Short In Decision Loss To Mario Bautista At UFC 316

‘Biggest Fraud Check Of 2025’ – Fans React To Patchy Mix Falling Short In Decision Loss To Mario Bautista At UFC 316

There was plenty of hype heading into UFC 316 for the impending debut of former Bellator bantamweight champion Patchy Mix, who had been considered one of the best fighters to have not been signed by the UFC.

Unfortunately, he didn’t fight as such in his first bout in the Octagon, losing handedly to Mario Bautista.

Mix’s first five minutes were rough — looking like the slower fighter and not doing enough with his footwork. Bautista was able to control the action with his jab, landing a number of shots that resulted in Mix getting busted up on his face. This included one jab that appeared to rock him early, and one shot that did damage right before the horn.

Mix showed some improvement in the second round, including a solid head kick midway through the round. He found moments, including drawing some blood from Bautista under one of his eyes. Bautista, however, continued to stay busy and work combinations, overwhelming Mix with volume, including a surge in the final minute that did damage.

Mix looked to come out aggressive to start the third, but Bautista was right there to answer back. Mix couldn’t get a takedown and continued to get tagged by Bautista’s right hand, which opened a cut on Mix’s face. Mix would land a couple of solid shots and a knee late in the round, but it wasn’t enough.

Bautista has now won eight straight, having come into this fight off wins over Jose Aldo and Ricky Simon.

Mix is a former Bellator bantamweight champion, having defeated the likes of Raufeon Stots, Magomed Magomedov and Sergio Pettis. Mix’s most recent fight prior to tonight came at the Bellator Champions Series event in Paris in May 2024, edging out Magomedov in a controversial decision to retain the Bellator bantamweight championship.

  • UFC Confirms Patchy Mix Signing, Will Debut At UFC 316 In Newark

The UFC has confirmed that former Bellator bantamweight champion Patchy Mix has signed with the promotion, making the announcement prior to the main event of UFC Vegas 106 on May 17.

The UFC added the confirmation that Mix will make his debut on short notice at UFC 316 in Newark on June 7, filling in for Marlon “Chito” Vera against Mario Bautista.

Mix is 20-1 in professional MMA and was a part of the Bellator roster from 2019 until the promotion’s folding in 2024. His sole loss came in his first title fight, suffering a comeback loss at the hands of Juan Archuleta in a bantamweight title fight at Bellator 246.

Patchy Mix Signs With UFC, Will Face Mario Bautista At UFC 316

Mix, however, ran through Kyoji Horiguchi, Magomed Magomedov and Raufeon Stots to win the Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix and the interim Bellator bantamweight title before defeating Sergio Pettis at Bellator 301 to become undisputed Bellator bantamweight champion.

Mix defended the title in a controversial split decision win at the Bellator Champions Series held in Paris one year ago today. He then had a tumultuous public falling out with the PFL, who purchased Bellator at the end of 2023, before he and the promotion officially parted ways on May 13.

Bautista has won seven straight and last fought at UFC 307, scoring a controversial decision win over Jose Aldo.

UFC 316 will be headlined a pair of title fights. The main event will see Sean O’Malley challenge Merab Dvalishvili in a bantamweight title rematch from their Noche UFC 2 encounter. The co-main event features Julianna Pena defending the UFC women’s bantamweight title against former PFL champion Kayla Harrison.

  • Gilbert Burns Names Three Bellator Fighters Who Can Give UFC Champs A Run For Their Money

Gilbert Burns Names Three Bellator Fighters Who Can Give UFC Champs A Run For Their Money

UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns is looking forward to the UFC signing three Bellator fighters to its roster. The Brazilian believes these fighters not only boast considerable star power, but also have the potential to defeat many top contenders and even the champions of their respective divisions.

Burns is currently on a three-fight losing skid and he’ll return at UFC 314 in Miami, Florida, to face undefeated prospect Michael Morales on April 12, 2025. The former UFC title challenger is on the longest losing streak of his career, making this matchup really important for his title aspirations and future in the promotion.

As of now, “Durinho” is ranked 8th in the division and he definitely can’t afford losing to the no. 12 ranked prospect in Morales.

In a recent episode of Show Me The Money, Burns appeared alongside popular UFC lightweight Renato Moicano to discuss UFC 312 and all things MMA. While talking about potential signings for the UFC, Burns named three fighters who are yet to fight for the promotion but have all the tools to make it big there.

“That’s one guy that I really want to see in the UFC is freaking Patchy Mix. That guy is so good, so good, and I hope they release him because they don’t give him a fight. It’s two guys that I think—so many guys from Bellator, but I’ll say my three favorite guys to be in the UFC now from Bellator is Johnny Eblen. That’s the number one. That guy, he could go head-to-head with Dricus Du Plessis.”

    He further added:

“That’s one thing, I think he’s a top five for sure. I don’t know if he is gonna beat DDP. I think he can, I think he can, but we got to see, you know? That’s one thing. So, Johnny Eblen should be in the UFC. Patchy Mix, 100%, should be in the UFC. And I think Patricio Pitbull, you know, he can—I don’t know if he’s going to make that run now, but yeah, I wanna see Pitbull in the UFC. Those are my three guys outside of the UFC with the whole Bellator-PFL history. Those three guys I want to see so much in the UFC right now, especially Patchy Mix and Johnny Eblen. Those guys are in their prime and I think it’ll be a couple of great fights.”

While Patricio “Pitbull” Freire is 37 and arguably in the latter half of his career, both Patchy Mix (31) and Johnny Eblen (33) are very well in their physical primes. Mix boasts an impressive 20-1 record as a bantamweight and Eblen is an undefeated middleweight. This explains why Burns, alongside many in the MMA community, is excited to see how these fighters perform in the UFC.

Considering that the PFL brand is struggling amidst its acquisition of Bellator, many of its fighters want to be relieved of their contracts. It is undoubtedly a good time for the UFC to sign these stars and give its champions a run for their money. As for fans, they simply want to see the best fight the best, regardless of promotions.

  • Patchy Mix On Being ‘Shelved’ By PFL: ‘I’ve Had Two Fights Canceled Without Being Compensated!’

Patchy Mix continues to express frustration with his situation under the PFL banner. The Bellator bantamweight champion finds himself under contract but without a fight lined up or any indication of when he will compete next.

Mix has been vocal on social media, calling out PFL and requesting his release so he can continue his fighting career elsewhere. He reiterated his stance in a recent appearance on MMA Junkie Radio.

“I have to voice it because I’m in the prime of my career, and not only because I’m in the prime of my career, but because I’m the best bantamweight in the world,” Mix said. “(My record is) 20-1 with 15 finishes, and I’ve been shelved. I’ve had one fight in the last 14 months. I do very well with activity — my whole career. This is the longest layoff of my career.”

Mix also highlighted the financial burden of canceled fights.

“I’ve had two fights canceled without being compensated,” Mix said. “I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars to bring my cornermen and coaches out for those fights—first in November in Paris, and then in January in Dubai.”

Since PFL purchased Bellator in November 2023, Mix has only fought once, successfully defending his Bellator bantamweight title against Magomed Magomedov in May 2024. He was originally scheduled to fight in November, but just two weeks before the event, PFL canceled the entire show.

Now, Mix wants clarity on his future — either a fight or a release so he can pursue a UFC career.

“A lot of it has to do with momentum, and I’m a momentum fighter,” Mix said. “My whole entire career, between amateur and professional, I’m 31 wins and one loss, and I have fought 32 times over the last 11 years. Every four or five months, I’ve fought consistently, and I’ve never had to deal with injuries. So to have that momentum ripped out, not knowing what happens with the promotion, my contract, my belt — next thing you know, I’m sitting out for a long time.

“My momentum is kind of done, and now they’re sitting me for another 10 months to a year. Momentum is hard to attain in this game, but there’s no doubt in my mind — I just need the fights to stay active. If they don’t want to let me fight, then release me, and in 365 days, I will be the UFC champion.”

  • ‘PLEASE RELEASE Me!’ – Bellator Champion Patchy Mix Again Pleads For PFL Exit

It’s no secret what Bellator Bantamweight Champion Patchy Mix wants from the Professional Fighters League in 2025. He wants out.

While the PFL ended last year with some strong championship events, things outside the cage didn’t exactly go smoothly for the organization.

Numerous fighters who came over as part of the PFL’s acquisition of Bellator MMA expressed their discontent, with legendary champ Patricio “Pitbull” Freire leading the way with his public criticism of his new employer.

The Brazilian finally got his wish for a release granted in January, but that hasn’t left the PFL without more fires to put out.

Another Bellator titleholder who has demanded to be let go in recent months is Mix, who won the bantamweight belt in April 2023 with a knockout of Raufeon Stots.

Frustrated with canceled fights that left him with just one title defense in 2024, “No Love” joined Freire in targeting free agency. But while the Bellator legend is now free from his contract and pushing for a UFC signing, Mix remains part of the PFL.

And he recently surfaced again on Instagram to make a fresh plea for a release, citing the new uncertainty surrounding his status as a champ after the PFL eliminated the Bellator brand from its plans moving forward.

“Right now im 31 years of age. In the prime of my career. I spent my last 6 years of my life fully dedicated to @bellatormma. I worked extremely hard and sacrificed everything to win the grand prix and become a (3) multi time world champion. Now with the promotion gone I’m exactly champion of what?

“I’ve always showed up to put it on the line have never turned down a single fight. Right now in perspective as a healthy world champion I fought just once going on 15 months now. All my momentum in my career has been lost, As this is the longest layoff of my 31 fights I’ve had between amateur and pro.

“I’m 20-1 now close to 5 years undefeated. I’ve finished my last 13/15 opponents and am legitimately one round removed from a perfect 21-0. Not boring entertainer either since I have an 80 percent finish rate. I KNOW I’m the best in the world at bantamweight and I want to prove this.

“I ask this with the upmost respect and urgency from @dscct@pflmma PLEASE RELEASE ‼️ me from my contract so I can perform to make money and do what I have to do to support my family. I’m in the prime of my career and I’m the BEST. I should be able to compete against the other best fighters In the world and not be on the shelf. If the sky was the limit I’m on the moon right now skill wise and there should be only one octagon I display my skill set in. Plus the ambassador for @pflmma is @francisngannou I mean I’m a world champion out of the same gym and you personally see how hard I work and try to be a leader for this team. This is no way to treat a champion. RELEASE patchy mix ‼️”

Given Mix’s status as one of the top bantamweights in the world, in addition to his relatively young age of 31, it remains to be seen whether the PFL higher-ups will oblige like they did Freire’s request for a release last month.

  • Bellator Champs Patrício Pitbull, Patchy Mix Request PFL Release: ‘They Don’t Know How To Act’

Bellator Champs Patrício Pitbull, Patchy Mix Request PFL Release: ‘They Don’t Know How To Act’

Two of the biggest names that the PFL acquired in the Bellator deal have recently voiced their frustrations with not being offered fights. Both Patrício Pitbull and Patchy Mix are reigning Bellator champions who have recently had upcoming bouts cancelled and they don’t seem happy with the communication that has taken place.

Pitbull hasn’t fought since March where after finishing Jeremy Kennedy, he says he was told that he would be able to return to RIZIN for a rematch with Chihiro Suzuki to try and get his revenge. He also claims that he was then told he would be fighting Aaron Pico instead but this has also not materialized for him.

As for the bantamweight champion Mix, he defended his title in May and was recently preparing for another title defence against Leandro Higo in November but since that event was postponed, he says that he hasn’t received word on when he will receive his next outing. Posting on X, Mix vented his frustrations and said that similarly to what has happened with other big names like Gegard Mousasi, he would like to be released if they don’t have any plans for him in the near future.

“My manager told me to hold off but haven’t heard anything from PFLMMA DonnDavisPFL If you are not gonna have me fight then just please release me from contract. This is not what I want but if I’m not important to the company being a multi time champ. Then let me go respectfully”

Pitbull made similar statements in a recent interview with MMA Fighting where he criticized the way that the promotion has handled the Bellator fighters since the acquisition last year.

“PFL guys seem a bit lost there. Looks like Bellator is a bit too big for them, and they don’t know how to act properly.”

Pitbull, like Mix, just wants to be active and he believes that leaving the PFL is the best way for him to do that at this stage in his career.

“We were left with only promises. We lost rhythm, we lost part of our careers waiting for something that never came. It’s bad for me as a champion. I need to stay active. We know I’m not getting any younger, too. So I spoke with my managers and since my contract is not that long, it’s close to the end, we’ll ask to leave. I need to work.

“Basically, Douglas Lima and my brother [Patricky Pitbull], the high-caliber guys of the organization, they either re-signed with their purse cut in half or they would be cut. That was basically forced, you know? Donn Davis said early in the merge that that would not happen, but it happened. We know the organization has valued semi-retired fighters and internet celebrities more than actual fighters that put on a show.”

  • Bellator Champions Slam PFL Amid Forced Inactivity: ‘This Merger Has Been A Disaster For MMA!’

Bellator Champions Slam PFL Amid Forced Inactivity: ‘This Merger Has Been A Disaster For MMA!’

Some of the top Bellator names who found themselves under the PFL banner last year are far from happy with their new employer.

The PFL attempted to strengthen its standing in mixed martial arts and its pursuit of achieving “co-leader” status alongside the UFC by purchasing the Bellator MMA organization late last year.

The promotion has since staged its first PFL vs. Bellator card, commenced global and regional seasons, and opened up a “reimagined” version of the brand it acquired in the form of the Bellator Champions Series.

While that has brought with it some entertaining cards and fights, things have been far from entirely positive for the PFL in 2024.  In attempting to separate itself from the UFC, PFL higher-ups have frequently claimed to be “fighter first” and an improved home for athletes compared to its rival. This year, though, has seen numerous fighters share their issues.

Sabah Homasi repeatedly bemoaned the lack of payment to cover his medical expenses from a Bellator fight last September. Prior to her debut in October, Cris Cyborg frequently slammed the PFL online for not booking her. Gegard Mousasi and Douglas Lima claimed the organization was refusing to honor their contracts because they earn too much money, with the former even commencing legal proceedings against the company following his subsequent release.

Those instances suggest the PFL’s purchase has left some Bellator fighters worse off, and the ongoing forced inactivity experienced by many is doing little to dismiss that suggestion.

One champion who feels hard done by is bantamweight standout Patchy Mix. Since defending his title against Magomed Magomedov in Paris this past May, “No Love” hasn’t made it back to the cage.

While he was scheduled for a return to the French capital this month, that event was among those suddenly canceled with little explanation. And in a post on X, Mix claimed a planned rescheduling of his return for January has also now been called off.

“I’ve been training my ass off for the last half of year for nothing,” Mix wrote. “This is frustrating in the prime of my career and I’ve had my fight in November cancelled? Then now again I’m being told I’m off January Dubai card? I am the best in the world and I want to fight to prove it.”

It didn’t take long for another champ to share that sentiment — this time the consensus Bellator GOAT, Patrício “Pitbull” Freire, who is without a fight since March.

“I haven’t fought since February. I wanted to fight 3x this year, but I was told I’d have to wait until December 31st and found out online my opponent would fight someone else. Then they had a replacement, I bring people over, spend more money with the camp and there’s no fight.”

In follow-up posts, the Brazilian went as far as to brand the PFL’s acquisition of Bellator as a “disaster” for the sport of MMA.

And it wasn’t just champions showing discontent this past weekend.

The man scheduled to challenge Mix this month prior to the unexplained cancellation, Leandro Higo, also took to social media to express his fury with the PFL after seeing his opponent speak out.

“This is very frustrating. We have no clue about when we might be fighting after two fight cancellations in a row. Time is of the essence in this game, we can’t waste our primes on the sidelines. I’m working hard to take that title, spending money, sweat and blood. What’s going on?”

When announcing its plans for this year, the PFL laid out eight Bellator Champions Series events and promised two championship contests on each. But it’s ultimately only put on five, the most recent being in London this past September, and filled the outlined quota of champions on just one of those cards.

It remains to be seen what the PFL has planned for the likes of Mix and Freire in 2025 — and for the rest of those who were hoping to compete on the now-scrapped Bellator Champions Series events in the back end of this year.

For now, the promotion will be focusing on a successful return to Saudi Arabia this week for its PFL World Championship and PFL MENA Championship shows in Riyadh.

But as another year comes to a close for the organization, it’s safe to say things haven’t gone as hoped since the purchase of Bellator, especially for the high-profile fighters who came with it.

Ryan Garcia Announces His Attendance For SuperRIZIN 3 This Weekend Amidst Exhibition Rumors

Ryan Garcia has sent out a message via the RIZIN social media channels to announce that he will be in attendance at SuperRIZIN 3 this weekend.

The Japanese promotion returns to Saitama Super Arena on July 28 where boxing star Manny Pacquiao will be in action against Rukiya Anpo.

Garcia, who has been extremely controversial both before and after his recent fight with Devin Haney, has been recently rumored to have been given permission from Golden Boy to compete in an exhibition on RIZIN later this year.

The video sees Garcia sending a message to the Japanese fans, when you can hear him over what appears to be construction work taking place in the background.

“Hello, Ryan Garcia here. My announcement is this. I’m heading to Japan. Heading to Japan because I’m going to be at the RIZIN event and I know they’re making noise but guess what? I go louder, I go harder and I cannot wait to meet all my fans in Japan. Arigato from my heart to your heart, I love you. I’mma learn how to say I love you in Japanese. I’mma tell every Japan I love them, konnichiwa.”

Sean O’Malley Unloads On Conor McGregor In Recent Social Media Exchange

After they seemingly settled the beef not long ago, Conor McGregor couldn’t resist taking another slight dig at UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley.

He quoted a post on X with a laughing face emoji that spoke about O’Malley pointing to a recent finding regarding how Ostarine can be transferred through sweat to explain his previous positive drug test results.

“Sugar” didn’t take long to reply and when he did, he appeared to sever any chance of rebuilding this bridge with “The Notorious”.

A pair of back-to-back posts made reference to McGregor’s current form inside the Octagon, UFC 303 withdrawal and referred to him a “drug addict” who “needs rehab”.

Suffice to say that the former UFC champ champ is not going to take these comments lightly.

Bellator Champions Series Announces Patchy Mix & ‘Baki’ For Paris Event On November 16

The Bellator Champions Series is heading back to Paris on November 16 and so is the bantamweight champion Patchy Mix.

He was last in action this past May where he closed the show at the French capital by defending his title via a controversial split decision win over Magomed Magomedov.

Mix is now set to return for the second time this year when he faces Brazil’s Leandro Higo who is coming off of back-to-back wins.

The co-main has also been announced with former Cédric Doumbé opponent Baissangour “Baki” Chamsoudinov finally making his return as he looks to stay undefeated against Sweden’s Oliver Enkamp.

Patchy Mix Main Events Bellator Champions Series Paris On Nov. 16, ‘Baki’ Co-Headlines

For the second time this year, Patchy Mix will put his Bellator bantamweight title on the line in the French capital.

After unifying the titles and securing undisputed status with a submission of Sergio Pettis at Bellator 301 last November, Mix returned for his first defense — and first appearance following the PFL’s acquisition of his organization — this past May.

At the second Bellator Champions Series event, the 30-year-old retained possession of his gold by narrow margins inside Paris’ Accor Arena, falling on the right side of a split decision verdict in a rematch against Magomed Magomedov.

He’ll be looking for a more definitive victory when he returns to France this November, where a first-time matchup with Brazil’s Leandro Higo awaits him at the Adidas Arena.

The Bellator main event was announced in a PFL press release this week, alongside a co-headliner between Oliver Enkamp and the highly regarded and undefeated Baissangour “Baki” Chamsoudinov, who look set to be the main attraction for the home crowd.

Mix vs. Higo Headlines In Paris, ‘Baki’ Makes Bellator Champions Series Debut

When Mix and “Baki” appear in the headline positions on November 16, both will be looking to secure their second Paris triumphs of 2024.

Mix (20-1) faced a tougher than predicted challenge from Magomedov in their rematch, going the distance in a competitive affair almost two years on from his second-round submission of the Russian at Bellator 289 in Connecticut. Nevertheless, “No Love” had his hand raised and remained among the names outside of the UFC who are heralded as being in the world’s elite at 135 pounds.

In Higo (23-6), Mix will face an opponent looking to achieve title glory at the second time of trying. “Alter” previously fell short of the bantamweight gold against Darrion Caldwell back in 2018. Since a loss to Aaron Pico that same year, the Brazilian has won five of six, most recently winning back-to-back outings against Nikita Mikhailov and James Gallagher to secure number one contender status.

While headliner Mix emerged victorious at a Bellator Champions Series event in Paris this year, co-main event star Chamsoudinov (8-0) extended his undefeated record in controversial fashion under the PFL Europe banner. “Baki” competed in a highly anticipated main event against fellow French standout Cédric Doumbé this past March, but their bout came to an anticlimactic end in round three after the former Glory Kickboxing champion’s calls to remove a splinter from his toe resulted in Marc Goddard waving the contest off.

In the aftermath of that win, “Baki” appeared to take issue with the time it took for the PFL to pay him fully, and reports subsequently suggested a UFC signing was on the cards for the free agent. That ultimately didn’t come to fruition, with the Frenchman instead putting pen to paper on a deal with the PFL instead.

To record a more definitive win on home soil this year in what will be his Bellator Champions Series debut, “Baki” is tasked with getting past Enkamp (11-4). The Swedish 32-year-old competed six times for Bellator following an 0-2 run in the UFC. Among a number of notable highlights is the rare buggy choke he secured at Bellator 281 in London just over two years ago.
