Raja Jackson Arrested, Being Held On $50,000 Bond

Raja Jackson has been arrested as a result of his beatdown of wrestler Syko Stu during a professional wrestling event held in late August.

Per a report from TMZ, Jackson was taken into custody on the morning of September 18 and faces a felony charge. As of the evening, Jackson is still in jail and is currently being held on $50,000 bond.

Jackson, the son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was involved in an incident at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event. During what had been an agreed upon run-in for the show, Jackson came into the ring and slammed wrestler Syko Stu — real name Stuart Smith — with such strength that Stu was legitimately knocked unconscious.

Jackson then proceeded to rain down blows on Smith, landing about two dozen punches before other wrestlers intervened to separate the two. The whole incident was captured on Jackson’s streaming account.

Raja Jackson Jailed Following Syko Stu Incident

The incident came as a result of a miscommunication that occurred that morning, with Smith hitting Jackson after mistaking him for a wrestler who was going to be part of the show.

The two had agreed to work the incident into an angle on the program, although another wrestler during the livestream seemed to encourage Jackson to make sure Smith got a “receipt” for the incident.

Smith spent several days in the hospital with various injuries, at one point being in critical condition, but has since been released.

As a result of the incident, WWE, the UFC’s partner company under the TKO umbrella, cut ties with the Knokx Pro Wrestling promotion, which had been associated with the WWE ID (Independent Development) program.

  • Quinton Jackson Speaks On Raja Jackson’s Assault On Wrestler Syko Stu – ‘I Don’t Condone What My Son Did’

Quinton Jackson Speaks On Raja Jackson’s Assault On Wrestler Syko Stu – ‘I Don’t Condone What My Son Did’

Quinton Jackson is seeking forgiveness in wake of his son’s shocking actions.

Last weekend, the former UFC champion’s son, Raja Jackson, attended a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles, streaming the night live on his KICK channel. During the event, he clashed with wrestler Stuart Smith, aka Syko Stu, in a heated altercation that was briefly defused. Still unsettled, Raja was later cleared by the promotion to deliver a scripted payback, staging a dramatic in-ring clash as a continuation of the earlier dispute.

However, what was meant to be harmless scripted banter quickly descended into chaos once Raja received the green light from a production staffer. Still fueled by his backstage tensions and egged on by his livestream audience, Jackson Jr. dragged the animosity into the ring, slamming Stu hard onto the canvas before unleashing a relentless barrage of unanswered punches that left him unconscious until other wrestlers intervened.

While “Rampage” initially offered a measured response to the incident, he now had more to share publicly.

Quinton Jackson Breaks Silence After Son Raja’s Assault in Wrestling Ring

During a recent live stream on his KICK channel, Quinton Jackson addressed Raja’s attack on Syko Stu, grappling with his roles as both a father and a public figure. While he strongly condemned his son’s violent actions, he expressed a desire for reconciliation with the U.S. Army veteran turned pro wrestler.

“I feel bad about what happened to Syko Stu,” Quinton Jackson said. “I don’t condone what my son did at all… I’m a father, so you know I gotta have my son’s back. But I’m gonna let justice play out. Being a father in hard moments like this, sometimes you’re proud of your kid and sometimes you’re not. At the end of the day you’re still a father… Hopefully one day I can meet SykoStu and shake his hand. I hope Syko Stu can forgive me as a dad for not understanding everything. Let’s see what happens”.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Police Department continues its investigation into Raja’s conduct, while it was confirmed on Wednesday that Stu has regained consciousness and is now able to communicate with his loved ones at the hospital.

  • Rashad Evans & Rampage Jackson Eye Boxing Match In 2025

Rashad Evans & Rampage Jackson Eye Boxing Match In 2025

Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson are seemingly set to reignite their storied rivalry — this time under the bright lights of the squared circle.

The two former UFC light heavyweight champions first collided at UFC 114 in May 2010 following their fiery stint as opposition coaches on Season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). That night, “Suga” emerged victorious, earning a dominant unanimous decision.

Whispers of a boxing showdown between Evans and Jackson began swirling months ago, with ONE Championship even showing interest in bringing the fight to life. Although those plans never materialized, the tides have shifted. Now, 15 years after their first clash, the former rivals are closer than ever to stepping into the ring for a long-awaited rematch.

During a recent interview with MMA Fighting, “Suga” revealed that he has already kicked off his training camp for the prospective bout, tentatively slated for February 2025, likely in Florida. The New Yorker also expressed his enthusiasm about rekindling his rivalry with “Rampage.”

“Boxing is something I’m a huge fan of and there’s nothing better than getting another chance to fight Rampage,” Evans said. “Rampage is in pretty good shape right now. He was getting ready for Shannon ‘The Cannon’ [Briggs] so he’s in pretty good shape. I want to get a chance to do it again with it.”

Evans emphasized that while the bad blood between him and Jackson is a thing of the past, their upcoming boxing showdown promises to be fiercely competitive — albeit with a friendly edge.

“With this fight, it’s fun because there’s not that anger-animosity, but at the same time, it’s still competitive. It’s still competitive like if he sees me looking a certain kind of way [he’ll say] ‘Hey, I see you getting ready, you’re looking pretty good’ and I’ll see him hitting the mitts or something like that and I’m like okay, he’s getting ready. It’s still the friendly competition and as the fight gets closer, all the sh*t talking’s going to come back. So it’s going to be fun.”

Evans has made only one return to competition since leaving the UFC in June 2018, claiming a commanding unanimous decision victory over Gabriel Checco at an Eagle FC event in January 2022.

Meanwhile, “Rampage” has remained inactive since December 2019, when he endured a tough loss to Fedor Emelianenko at Bellator 237.

  • ‘Rampage’ Jackson On How He Smoked Out Jon Jones’ Alleged Spy In His Camp With Injury Lie

‘Rampage’ Jackson On How He Smoked Out Jon Jones’ Alleged Spy In His Camp With Injury Lie

Quinton Jackson recently shared how he cleverly exposed a spy allegedly sent by Jon Jones to his fight camp by faking an injury to flush them out.

Jackson took on Jones for the light heavyweight title at UFC 135 in September 2011, but his efforts fell short as he was submitted in the fourth round. Despite being thoroughly outmatched in the bout, “Rampage” later criticized Jones for his fighting style and his tendency to extend his fingers during exchanges, a habit that has unintentionally resulted in eye pokes for several of his opponents.

However, in the lead-up to their fight, Jackson stirred the MMA world by claiming that “Bones” had planted a spy in his camp to gather intel on him. To test his suspicions, Jackson fabricated a story and let the word out that he had a hand injury…

Jackson on Jones Reportedly Planting A Spy: ‘It was Somebody That Worked For MusclePharm’

During a recent episode of his JAXXON Podcast, “Rampage” revealed that Jones was allegedly in contact with someone from his supplement sponsor, MusclePharm, to spy on his fight camp. The former UFC light heavyweight champion recounted how he began to suspect that his every move was being monitored, so he devised a plan.

He faked an injury and shared the news only with his Team Wolfslair, yet somehow, the information still leaked to the public.

“He had a spy in my camp; it was somebody that worked for MusclePharm that was cool with him,” Jackson said. “He would come there and watch me train and stuff, and I don’t know—I can’t remember how I found out that somebody was watching me. Maybe some sh*t he was saying online, so I faked the injury, and I didn’t tell anybody. I told my tight team, ‘I think Jon Jones has a spy in my camp,’ so I faked the injury and didn’t say anything, and then it got out in the press.”

In an interview with Yahoo! Sports in August 2011, Jackson revealed that just hours after planting the fake news, his manager received a call from then-UFC matchmaker Joe Silva, who was eager to find out what had happened.

As Jackson anticipated, the response was swift and telling: Silva mentioned that Jones’ manager, Malki Kawa, had reached out. Although Jackson has never produced any concrete evidence to support his claims, “Bones” once playfully admitted to planting a spy in his opponent’s camp.
