  • Oleksandr Usyk Teases Possible Boxing Showdown With UFC Champ Alex Pereira

Oleksandr Usyk Teases Possible Boxing Showdown With UFC Champ Alex Pereira

Oleksandr Usyk is entertaining the possibility of a potential showdown with Alex Pereira down the road.

“The Cat” has recently suggested that he is nearing the twilight of his storied boxing career, committing to two more fights before hanging up his gloves. Having dominated both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions while maintaining his undefeated record, he now stands on the verge of a well-deserved departure from the sport.

Usyk is coming off a commanding triumph over Tyson Fury in their highly anticipated rematch this past December, successfully defending his WBC, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles. The 38-year-old Ukrainian cemented his place as the undisputed champion when he first dethroned “The Gypsy King” in May 2024.

However, shortly after, he was compelled to relinquish the IBF title, which ultimately found its way into the hands of his former foe, Daniel Dubois.

Usyk will be intently observing Dubois’ upcoming title defense against Joseph Parker on Feb. 22 in Saudi Arabia, as the winner of this bout will be the next opponent for the former undisputed champion.

During a recent interview with TNT Sports, “The Cat” outlined what could very well be the final two bouts of his illustrious career. To the surprise of many, he revealed that in his last fight, he envisions stepping into the ring with reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Pereira.

“First, is who wins the next fight [Dubois vs. Parker] on Feb. 22, Usyk said.” Next? Maybe a show fight with Alex Pereira. Maybe – why not? Alex wants to.”

“Poatan” is no stranger to the sweet science of boxing, boasting a rich amateur background and even securing a professional win in July 2017, where he dispatched Marcelo de Souza Cruz via TKO. Pereira has also openly discussed his ambitions to transition to boxing once his MMA career reaches its conclusion.

Pereira is set to defend his 205-pound title for the fourth time against Magomed Ankalaev in the main event of UFC 313. The highly anticipated showdown is scheduled for March 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • ‘Another Boxing Match No One Cares About’ – Fans React As Canelo Ɓlvarez Has First Riyadh Season Fight Announced After Canceling Jake Paul Talks

‘Another Boxing Match No One Cares About’ – Fans React As Canelo Ɓlvarez Has First Riyadh Season Fight Announced After Canceling Jake Paul Talks

After a period of time where things appeared to be uncertain, it looks like Canelo Ɓlvarez does have his plan laid out for Riyadh Season after all.

With a fight against Terence Crawford seemingly on the horizon for later this year, the WBA/WBC/WBO super middleweight champion will defend his titles against William Scull on May 3 in Saudi Arabia.

This will mark the first time Ɓlvarez is not in either Las Vegas or Mexico for a fight during Cinco de Mayo weekend since a bout in Texas in 2015 — with the exception of his suspension during 2018.

There seemed to be a time, however, where in spite of plenty of reports announcing a deal between Ɓlvarez and Crawford was being finalized, Ɓlvarez looked to be switching plans to a May encounter with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

In a span of hours, Canelo went from finalizing a deal with Crawford, to finalizing with Paul, to going back to Crawford and finalizing plans to face Scull prior to that.

Paul has been vocal in the aftermath of the news, verbally attacking Canelo and claiming the Mexican boxing legend has done nothing for the sport.

Ɓlvarez last fought in September, retaining his championships in a decision over Edgar Berlanga.

Paul, meanwhile, defeated Mike Tyson in an eight-round bout in November that was broadcasted on Netflix. The streaming platform would also have broadcasted a bout between him and Ɓlvarez.

Crawford has not been seen since his lackluster decision win over Israil Madrimov to win the WBA and vacant WBO interim light middleweight titles. A fight with Ɓlvarez would reportedly be at 168 pounds.

  • KSI vs. Dillon Danis Official For Misfits Boxing 21 On March 29

KSI vs. Dillon Danis Official For Misfits Boxing 21 On March 29

KSI and Dillon Danis are finally set to settle their long-standing feud inside the squared circle.

The two rivals are set to collide in a 185-pound showdown, headlining Misfits Boxing 21. The event, billed as “Unfinished Business,” is scheduled for March 29 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.

KSI and Danis were originally scheduled to clash at Misfits Boxing 4 in January 2023, but “El Jefe” pulled out just a week before fight night. At the time, KSI and his team claimed that Danis withdrew due to a lack of proper preparation.

“The Nightmare” was originally set to square off against former English footballer Wayne Bridge on March 29, but the fight was scrapped after the ex-Chelsea defender pulled out.

KSI is coming off the first setback of his boxing career—a unanimous decision loss to Tommy Fury in the main event of the MF & DAZN: X Series 10 – PRIME Card in October 2023.

Danis made his boxing debut on the same card, facing KSI’s former rival-turned-business partner, Logan Paul. However, the bout ended in chaos, as the former Bellator fighter was disqualified in the sixth round after attempting to put Paul in a chokehold.

VIDEO: Darren Till Flattens Anthony Taylor In Latest Post-UFC Boxing Match

Former UFC star Darren Till has come out on top in his first professional boxing bout, defeating Anthony Taylor via knockout in the main event of Misfits Boxing 20 in Manchester, England.

After thoroughly dominating Taylor for five rounds, coming in with a notable advantage in height and reach, “The Gorilla” put his fellow MMA veteran down with a power combination in the sixth.

Till was originally booked to face Tommy Fury in this fight but “TNT” withdrew from the bout after the Liverpudlian claimed he’d use “MMA tactics” if he fell behind on the scorecards.

“The Gorilla” previously competed in an exhibition boxing match back in July 2024, scoring a bizarre TKO over Mohammad Mutie, with a brief brawl coming after the fight.

Till, a former UFC welterweight title challenger, went 18-5-1 in his 10-year MMA tenure, which ended with a loss to current middleweight kingpin Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282 in December 2022.

VIDEO: Darren Till Has Strange First Faceoff With Anthony Taylor Ahead Of Misfits Boxing Match

If there exists a list of the weirdest staredowns in combat sports, Darren Till’s recent faceoff would definitely make the top five.

Till is poised to lock horns with renowned influencer boxer Anthony Taylor in an eight-round heavyweight showdown, headlining Misfits X Series 20 on Jan. 18 at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.

Ahead of their showdown this weekend, Till and Taylor came together at the pre-fight press conference on Thursday. After a relatively tame exchange on the mic, the two boxers engaged in one of the most bizarre staredowns in recent memory.

Taylor made every effort to spice up the faceoff with some quirky banter during the close encounter, but “The Gorilla” remained largely unfazed. At one point, Till even walked off the stage, leaving everyone puzzled, only to return moments later.

“I’m about to make easy work of you,” Taylor said. “Yeah, I’m about to get them veneers redone for you. I want you to say something. You think you big and bad because you trained with pro boxers. Your whole team is sh*t.ā€

Till was originally slated to face Tommy Fury at the same event but “TNT” withdrew from the bout, citing concerns over the playful threat of being kicked by the former UFC welterweight title challenger — a warning Till jokingly issued during the promotional press conference.

ā€œThe Gorillaā€ has been relatively inactive since parting ways with the UFC, where he endured a challenging 1-5 record in his final six bouts. However, he returned to action in a boxing match at Social Knockouts 3 in July 2024, earning a bizarre TKO victory over Mohammad Mutie.

  • Dana White Dismisses Talk Of Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul Boxing Match

Dana White Dismisses Talk Of Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul Boxing Match

Speculation surrounding a potential boxing match between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul has recently gained traction, but the former UFC champion’s employer isn’t keen.

The Irishman hinted at ongoing discussions for a showdown, sparking widespread interest among fight fans. Reports suggest the bout could be financed by India’s Ambani family, headed by Mukesh Ambani, one of the wealthiest individuals in the world. If the fight were to materialize, it would mark McGregor’s first return to the boxing ring since his high-profile bout with Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

Rumors have escalated to suggest that the Irishman and Ohio native might earn an extraordinary $250 million from the event. However, UFC CEO Dana White dismissed the possibility of the fight during an appearance on Pardon My Take, responding with a definitive “no” when asked if McGregor’s highly anticipated comeback would occur in the form of a boxing match against Paul.

It’s worth noting that McGregor’s exclusive UFC contract grants the organization control over any of his competitive engagements.

White previously co-promoted McGregor’s fight with Mayweather, highlighting a precedent for UFC’s involvement in cross-promotional bouts. Despite the speculation, White has consistently indicated that the star fighter’s return will eventually happen, aiming for a comeback this fall.

“The Notorious” has not fought since his 2021 bout against Dustin Poirier, which ended with a severe leg injury in their trilogy fight. While originally scheduled to face Michael Chandler in July, that matchup was postponed due to McGregor suffering a broken toe.

  • Tyson Fury Announces ‘Retirement’ From Boxing After Second Usyk Loss, Fans Say ‘He’ll Be Back In A Few Months’

Tyson Fury Announces ‘Retirement’ From Boxing After Second Usyk Loss, Fans Say ‘He’ll Be Back In A Few Months’

Tyson Fury has announced via a video on social media that he is retiring from boxing after 37-pro fights. “The Gypsy King” is currently coming off of back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk having come into their first encounter with an unbeaten record of 34-0-1.

The 36-year old has achieved some incredible things in his career. From his stunning win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 to become the unified champion to the incredible comeback story that led to his three iconic fights with Deontay Wilder, Fury was considered the best of his generation for some time.

Having only ever lost to a fellow modern-day great in Usyk, there are still some interesting fights out there for Fury including the long awaited clash with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua which appeared to be more likely than ever of happening. However, if his statement is to be believed, this is the end of the road for one of the heavyweight division’s best.

Fury references famous highwayman robber Dick Turpin in his video, potentially in reference to his decision loss to Usyk last month which he heavily debated at the time.

“Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet. I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing, it’s been a blast. I’ve loved every single minute of it and I’m gonna end with this, Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side. Getup!”

As is often the case in combat sports, especially with a personality like Fury who often says things to elicit a reaction or to use it as a bargaining chip, the fans aren’t entirely convinced that this is the last we will see of him. Reactions on social media do not seem to suggest that this is the final chapter.

“He’ll back in a few months once he’s offered 250 million to fight Anthony Joshua.”

    “Negotiation Tactic”

    “Until the next comeback announcement!”

“See you in the ring in a few months”

  • Darren Till Gets New Opponent For Misfits Boxing Debut After Tommy Fury’s Withdrawal

Darren Till Gets New Opponent For Misfits Boxing Debut After Tommy Fury’s Withdrawal

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till will still be making his combat sports return next month.

Since departing mixed martial arts’ leading promotion following a defeat to then-future middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis, which left him 1-5 across six fights since a main event win over Stephen Thompson, “The Gorilla” hasn’t been too active outside the cage.

His return came this past July in Dubai, where he faced Mohammad Mutie in an exhibition boxing match. The bout ended controversially after some rabbit punches to the back of Mutie’s head saw him choose not to continue, sparking a brawl with the Liverpudlian.

Months later, it was announced that Till would be kicking off his 2025 in a more high-profile spot, headlining the Misfits Boxing event on Jan. 18 against Tommy Fury. But “TNT,” who has already boxed both Jake Paul and KSI, withdrew recently due to fears of Till engaging in MMA tactics — a threat the former UFC star made at the press conference.

While that left Till’s status on the card uncertain, a replacement opponent has been confirmed. The promotion announced Sunday that ex-Bellator fighter and Misfits veteran Anthony Taylor will step in to face “The Gorilla” at Manchester’s Co-op Live.

The main event will be contested at heavyweight for a maximum of eight rounds.

Though Taylor has risen to prominence as part of the influencer boxing game, his combat sports tenure started out with 11 professional outings as a mixed martial artist.

With that in mind, perhaps he’ll be better suited to any “MMA tactics” Till will bring to the ring than Fury.

  • Conor McGregor Reacts To Reports Of $250M Bout With Logan Paul At Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium

Conor McGregor Reacts To Reports Of $250M Bout With Logan Paul At Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium

Conor McGregor’s claims of boxing Logan Paul in India appear to be more than a fleeting notion.

Earlier this month, “The Notorious” sent the combat sports world into a frenzy by asserting that he’s actively working toward an exhibition boxing match with Paul. McGregor boldly declared he is ā€œin preliminary agreementsā€ with the Indian billionaire Ambani family, who are eager to back the potential blockbuster event financially.

Additionally, he hinted that this showdown could take place before his highly anticipated UFC return in 2025.

What initially seemed like little more than a speculative social media stunt from the former two-division UFC champion, McGregor vs. Paul gained newfound credibility after veteran MMA reporter Ariel Helwani confirmed that both camps were indeed in talks about the fight. Now, an increasing number of signs point to the possibility that the Irishman may be serious about making it happen.

A recent report by Emmett Glenn of Fightbook MMA revealed that the matchup is reportedly set to take place at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium as part of “Visit India” tourism initiative, with both boxers expected to earn a whopping $250 million each. What makes this even more intriguing is McGregor’s near-confirmation on X, where he responded to Glenn’s report with a telling pair of emojis.

Moreover, the MMA superstar retweeted a post from his outlet, The Mac Life, reporting the aforementioned update.

As of now, Paul has remained silent about the proposed fight. In addition, it was revealed last week that neither the UFC nor WWE, the organizations McGregor and Paul are each signed to, have been approached about the bout. However, with both promotions now under the TKO Group umbrella, organizing this potential showdown could be seamless.

“The Notorious,” who hasn’t fought in over three years since suffering a leg break in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, was previously involved in a high-profile crossover boxing match against former multi-division champion Floyd Mayweather in August 2017. Despite his valiant efforts, McGregor ultimately succumbed to a TKO defeat in the 10th round.

  • ‘Didn’t He Rob Ngannou In Saudi?’ – Fans React After Footage Emerges Of Tyson Fury Blaming Location For Oleksandr Usyk Loss

‘Didn’t He Rob Ngannou In Saudi?’ – Fans React After Footage Emerges Of Tyson Fury Blaming Location For Oleksandr Usyk Loss

Tyson Fury seems to be having a hard time coming to terms with being outclassed by Oleksandr Usyk in both of their meetings.

“The Gypsy King” challenged Usyk for his WBC, WBO, and WBA heavyweight titles in their rematch at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this past Saturday. However, despite his best efforts, Fury fell short in his attempt to avenge his previous defeat to the undefeated Ukrainian.

Although Fury had moments of success, he ultimately suffered a unanimous decision loss as “The Cat” showcased his exceptional footwork and perfectly timed punches, keeping the Englishman at a distance throughout most of the fight. Usyk’s dominance earned him a 116-112 score from all three judges.

Fury wasted no time leaving the ring after his defeat, bypassing a post-fight interview. And during the post-event press conference, he adamantly stated that he believed he had won the fight convincingly, insisting that the judges had erred in giving the victory to Usyk.

With “The Gypsy King” now facing back-to-back losses — the only two setbacks of his professional career — to Usyk within just seven months, he is claiming that the venue itself may have played a role in his setbacks.

A video capturing Fury returning backstage, visibly agitated after his defeat, has surfaced on social media. In the footage, the former WBC heavyweight champion is heard asserting that many believed he was narrowly outpacing “The Cat.” Fury goes on to suggest that the location itself may have had something to do with the outcome of the fight.

“[Got] robbed there, f**k ’em,” Fury said. “I swear to God I thought I won it by at least three rounds. I bossed the fight on the front foot all night and had that work put on him… I’ll tell you what it is, you’re not getting nothing in these countries.”

The combat sports world has responded with a variety of reactions to Fury’s insinuation that the fight taking place in Saudi Arabia played a role in his losses.

Numerous observers have implied that the 36-year-old Brit is exhibiting a sense of resentment, struggling to reconcile with the reality of his defeat in both bouts.

Fury suffered the first loss of his illustrious career when he faced Usyk in their initial showdown this past May. After a hard-fought battle, “The Cat” emerged victorious via split decision.

This triumph solidified Usyk’s legacy as the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era, a distinction not seen since Lennox Lewis achieved the feat in 1999.

  • Francis Ngannou Reiterates Push For Tyson Fury Rematch After ‘The Gypsy King’s’ Second Usyk Loss

Francis Ngannou closely observed Tyson Fury’s recent rematch against Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Usyk retained his WBA (Super), WBO, and WBC world heavyweight titles by defeating Fury via unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112 in the Ukrainian’s favor.

The defeat marked the Englishman’s second consecutive to Usyk following a split decision loss in May. Despite these setbacks, Ngannou remains eager for a rematch with “The Gypsy King.”

When asked about the defeated challenger’s potential next opponent during an interview with Pro Boxing Fans, Ngannou threw his name into the hat.

“What I want to see now is Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. That’s all what matters for me.”

Ngannou and Fury share a notable history. In their 2023 meeting, Ngannou shocked the boxing world by knocking the former WBC champ down before narrowly losing on the judges’ scorecards. Following that bout, Ngannou faced Anthony Joshua but was knocked out in the second round.

Returning to mixed martial arts, Ngannou achieved a first-round knockout against Renan Ferreira in October, marking his debut with the Professional Fighters League (PFL). The victory was particularly poignant as Ngannou dedicated it to his late son, Kobe, who passed away earlier this year.

As the combat sports community speculates about future matchups, Ngannou’s focus remains on a rematch with Tyson Fury, aiming to settle unfinished business in the ring.

  • Tyson Fury: I’ll Believe I Beat Oleksandr Usyk ‘Until The Day I Die’

Tyson Fury: I’ll Believe I Beat Oleksandr Usyk ‘Until The Day I Die’

Former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury doesn’t look set to change stance on the result of his rematch against unified titleholder Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday.

Fury was back in Saudi Arabia this week in pursuit of redemption against Usyk, who narrowly got the better of him in their blockbuster first clash this past May.

On that occasion, “The Gypsy King” was frustrated to fall on the wrong side of a split decision verdict that saw “The Cat” crowned the first undisputed heavyweight champ sine Lennox Lewis was stripped of that status in 2000.

And despite all three scorecards going the way of the Ukrainian second time around — and in a much more convincing fashion — the Brit is once again calling robbery.

During his post-fight press conference after another 12 rounds in the ring with Usyk, Fury questioned the trio of 116-112 scorecards and stated that he believed his hand should have been raised.

ā€œI was quite confident,ā€ Fury said. ā€œI thought I won that fight again. I think I’ve got ā€˜Larry Holmes’d’ here. I thought I’ve won both fights, but then again I’ve gone home with two losses on my record now, so there’s not much I can do about it. I can just fight my heart out and do the best I can.

ā€œBut again, I’ll always believe until the day I die I’ve won that fight,” Fury added.

It remains to be seen what will come next for “The Gypsy King,” who entered the year undefeated in professional boxing and will leave it on a two-fight skid.

While some pundits and former fighters have already backed the idea of retirement for Fury following an illustrious career, plenty were quick to pitch a long-awaited UK showdown with Anthony Joshua, who is also coming off a difficult setback.

  • ‘Judges Weren’t Corrupt For Once?’ – Fighters & Fans React To Oleksandr Usyk’s Convincing Decision Win In Tyson Fury Rematch

‘Judges Weren’t Corrupt For Once?’ – Fighters & Fans React To Oleksandr Usyk’s Convincing Decision Win In Tyson Fury Rematch

The final major boxing fight of 2024 saw a lot of unity from fans, pundits, media, and fighters — it was a close, competitive fight but the right man won.

Oleksandr Usyk edged out Tyson Fury in a unanimous decision to retain the WBA, WBC, and WBO heavyweight championships in the main event of a Riyadh Season card in Saudi Arabia on Dec. 21.

Usyk worked his jab well in the opening frame, which proved to be a bit of a feeling-out process. The Ukrainian came out with a strong combination to start the second round, but Fury seemed to start to gain control, working his jab as the round went on.

“The Gypsy King” got on the front foot in the third round after a shot that Usyk thought was illegal but was not called such. The champ looked to land the big shots late in the round, which saw plenty of utilization of the jab by Fury. Usyk cracked the Brit with a couple of strong left hands during the fourth round, troubling Fury, who tried to use his reach and keep his opponent back. The former WBC titleholder fired back in the fifth, however, as he showed his physical prowess and landed strong, inside shots, especially to the body.

After a bit of a slower start to the sixth round, Usyk continued to land well on the inside. The seventh and eighth remained particularly quiet, though the Ukrainian remained in control, working over the challenger’s body.

And he appeared to open up a cut above one of Fury’s eyebrows late in the ninth frame, as he remained in control and forced “The Gypsy King” to need to answer quickly. Fury threw power from the get-go, looking to bully the champion with his own back to the scorecard wall seemingly. He appeared to gas out in the later portion, however, backing up to “The Cat’s” attacks.

Usyk landed a couple of strong left hands throughout the 11th, still backing Fury up. Both men emptied the tank in the 12th round, with the challenger landing some strong punches but the champ landing a rocking combinations in the closing seconds.

This was a rematch from their initial encounter in May, which saw Usyk edge out Fury in a split decision to win the WBC heavyweight title, becoming boxing’s first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era. This reign was not for long, however, as the IBF stripped him of the title not long after the win as a result of taking tonight’s rematch.

The IBF title was awarded to Daniel Dubois, who retained the championship with a knockout of Anthony Joshua in September.

Dubois was knocked out by Usyk in their August 2023 title fight. He called “The Cat” out following Saturday’s fight for a rematch of his own, which could realistically happen and give boxing another undisputed heavyweight champion, pending Dubois successfully defending the IBF title against Joseph Parker in February.

Francis Ngannou Maintains ā€˜Something Unfair Definitely Happened’ With Anthony Joshua Fight

Francis Ngannou would be hesitant about a rematch with Anthony Joshua after how the lead-up to their fight this year unfolded.

The former UFC heavyweight champion faced Joshua in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and suffered a second-round knockout loss. Since then, “The Predator” made a successful return to MMA in October, securing a KO victory over Renan Ferreira at the PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants event, also held in Saudi Arabia.

In a recent interview with Radio Rahim of Seconds Out, Ngannou revealed his reservations about a rematch with Joshua down the line, pointing to unsettling circumstances surrounding their initial fight week that he’s previously brought up.

ā€œThe rematch with Joshua, to be honest, I feel very off and not very comfortable in that fight,ā€ Ngannou admitted. ā€œIt’s something that could happen, but what I do know for sure is that I want the rematch with Fury. Again, I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I didn’t like the Joshua fight. I think things wasn’t right, nothing was right, and if it’s gonna be the same scenario, I’m not interested.ā€

Ngannou elaborated on his concerns, reiterating complaints about what he considered unfair treatment during the fight preparation process.

ā€œSomething unfair definitely happened. I don’t have the full picture, but I have seen some myself that wasn’t right. I was in the locker room for almost four hours, for example, which is not something that does happen in a fight. So, just from that, not to talk about the entire week.ā€

While Ngannou hasn’t ruled out the possibility of facing Joshua again, his sights seem firmly set on a rematch with Tyson Fury, with whom he shared an intensely competitive boxing bout earlier in his crossover career.

VIDEO: Oleksandr Usyk & Tyson Fury Have Tense 10-Minute Staredown Ahead Of Boxing Rematch

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury seem to be laser-focused ahead of their upcoming rematch.

Both boxing superstars are set to reignite their rivalry this Saturday at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where “The Cat” will put his WBA, WBC, and WBO heavyweight titles on the line against Fury.

The pair first squared off in May when Usyk emerged victorious after a grueling split decision. With this win, the unbeaten Ukrainian cemented his status as the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era since Lennox Lewis achieved the feat in 1999, while also handing “The Gypsy King” his first professional setback.

As their eagerly awaited showdown approaches this weekend, Usyk and Fury took the stage for their final press conference on Thursday. The atmosphere was electric as the two engaged in a brief yet fiery exchange on the microphone.

The intensity only escalated during the faceoff that followed, as the two rivals stared each other down for over 10 minutes. Tensions ran so high that officials had to step in and separate them just as they began trading insults.

Following their May fight, “The Cat” was forced to give up his undisputed status when he had to vacate the IBF title, which was subsequently passed on to his former rival Daniel Dubois.

Usyk holds a flawless professional record of 22-0, with 14 wins by knockout. Meanwhile, Fury boasts a near-perfect 34-1-1 record, with 24 of his victories coming by knockout.

  • Conor McGregor Vows To KO ‘Sloppy Novice’ Logan Paul In UFC vs. WWE Battle

Conor McGregor Vows To KO ‘Sloppy Novice’ Logan Paul In UFC vs. WWE Battle

Conor McGregor appears to be all in on his potential boxing match with WWE superstar Logan Paul. “The Notorious” recently claimed on X that he is working towards a return to the ring to face off with Paul in India with his long awaited return to the UFC falling slightly down the priority pecking order.

Paul recently made his WWE comeback at the Raw on Netflix Kickoff event where he announced that he will be stepping back into the pro wrestling world when Raw debuts on Netflix on January 6. During his speech, he even threw a reference to McGregor in there by stealing one of the Irishman’s most iconic lines.

As for McGregor, the former UFC champ-champ has been incredibly active on social media over the past few days. It has been a massively significant month for him in general following the verdict of his civil court case where McGregor was found guilty of sexual assault.

In his latest post regarding his combat sports return, he referenced Paul’s boxing ability and the fact that both men are under contract with TKO Group which some have suggested will make this fight easier to pull off. As for his potential opponent, Paul’s last outing inside the boxing ring was a disqualification victory over McGregor’s former teammate, Dillon Danis.

Despite his lack of combat sports experience, the WWE athlete opened as the betting favorite for a contest with “The Notorious”. Accompanied by lots of hashtags, McGregor had this to say on the fight.

“TKO Group! UFC vs WWE. There is levels to this, a big sloppy novice is going to find out! TKO KING TITLE #BiggestGenerator#KingofNumbers#Streams#PPV I hold every record and I am coming back to KO this novice and rack in more numbers for the company. #StockMarketIndia#MyHighestPayPacketYet#Thanksforthecheese

  • Former Boxing World Champion Amir Khan Explains Why Francis Ngannou Would Beat Deontay Wilder

Former Boxing World Champion Amir Khan Explains Why Francis Ngannou Would Beat Deontay Wilder

Following his return to MMA at PFL’s Battle of the Giants in October, there has been a lot of conversation regarding what will be next for Francis Ngannou. His first-round finish over Renan Ferreira doesn’t leave a whole lot of interesting matchups for him in MMA but he does have the option of going back to boxing for his next contest.

Ngannou has boxed twice since departing the UFC in January of 2023 and though he is without a win on his pro record, a lot of fans thought that he should have got his hand raised against Tyson Fury back in October last year. One name that has consistently been mentioned in connection with the former UFC heavyweight champion is Deontay Wilder.

“The Bronze Bomber” is still one of the biggest names in the heavyweight division but following his recent form, he would seemingly be a better opponent for Ngannou than the likes of Fury and Anthony Joshua. Wilder has not looked the same in his latest outings and losses against Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker and though it looked like he might retire, the knockout artist appears to be gearing up for one more.

In a recent interview with The Sports Daily, former world champion turned analyst Amir Khan said that he would pick Ngannou to win that fight if he does get booked to face Wilder next time out. Based on his back-to-back losses, Khan isn’t sure whether Wilder has the same hunger anymore and getting in the ring with Ngannou is a dangerous prospect to begin with.

“Wilder’s last fight was really bad. You always look at the last fight and Wilder is done to be honest with you. I like Wilder but Ngannou has the power to hurt him.

“Ngannou is not the best boxer but he put on a good fight against Fury and got knocked out against AJ. Ngannou is going to win that fight. Unless Wilder comes in as a different fighter with that fire in his belly.”

  • Logan Paul Adds To Boxing Talk By Using Classic Conor McGregor Quote While Announcing WWE Return

Logan Paul Adds To Boxing Talk By Using Classic Conor McGregor Quote While Announcing WWE Return

Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet, there has been a lot of talk over the past few days regarding a potential boxing match between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul. “The Notorious” sparked the conversation out of nowhere by claiming on X that he is already in preliminary talks over a clash with Paul in India before he turns his attention to a return to the UFC.

After recently claiming that he was retired from the WWE, Paul appeared at the Raw on Netflix Kickoff event last night where he announced that he will be switching brands in order to appear on the first episode of Raw that will take place on Netflix on January 6. During his speech, he threw out a tease which made reference to McGregor and one of his most memorable moments on the mic.

Paul has not competed in a boxing ring since his win over McGregor’s former teammate, Dillon Danis. That fight took place in October of 2023 where Paul won the fight via disqualification after convincingly beating the former MMA fighter from start to finish.

He then returned to WWE where following his speech at last night’s event, it looks like he’ll be a big part of the promotion’s plans for 2025. Speaking about his intentions going forward and the reaction from the crowd, Paul used a particular saying that has long been associated with a certain Irishman.

After stopping Diego Brandão in Dublin 10 years ago, McGregor delivered an instantly iconic phrase that galvanized the Irish fans inside the 3Arena. Paul used his time on the mic to seemingly pay homage to the man that could be his next opponent in the boxing ring.

ā€œIf you have something I want, I’m gonna take it…’Logan Paul’s a bully’. Yeah! I am the bully! And the WWE is my playground!ā€ Paul said. ā€œSo look, I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over. Your approval means nothing to me. Whether you love me or hate me, I don’t care, because you’re still watching.ā€

  • Stephen A. Smith: ‘More Experienced Boxer’ Logan Paul Would Beat Conor McGregor In The Ring

Stephen A. Smith: ‘More Experienced Boxer’ Logan Paul Would Beat Conor McGregor In The Ring

If former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor wants to record his first win in the boxing ring at the second time of trying next year, Stephen A. Smith doesn’t think Logan Paul would be a smart opponent.

Talk of the next step in McGregor’s combat sports career has largely centered around a UFC return in recent times. That was originally announced toward the start of 2023 ahead of his and Michael Chandler’s battle as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter.

But that reality series and two calendar years will have passed by without the Irishman making the walk again. Nevertheless, McGregor has remained steadfast on insisting that his career is not over, and he’s now eyeing up a clash with Chandler for 2025.

First, however, it would appear “The Notorious” has his sights on a surprising assignment in the squared circle.

McGregor — whose most recent battle came in the courtroom, where he was found liable for assault after being accused of rape — took to social media this week to claim an exhibition boxing match with Logan Paul is in the works, with the billionaire Ambani family looking to stage it in India.

While it remains to be seen how truthful the Dubliner’s claim is, that hasn’t stopped fans and pundits alike from pondering how a clash with the older Paul brother would play out.

During a recent episode of ESPN‘s First Take, Sports television personality Stephen A. Smith gave his take on the potential matchup.

For McGregor, it didn’t make for good listening…

“I think Logan Paul is going to beat him,” Smith said. “I don’t think that Conor McGregor is a boxer; he’s a striker. So, he’s sitting up there, and he ain’t even throwing his jab. He’s pitter-pattering. You ain’t clipping Logan Paul like that. You’ve got to do more than that.

ā€œWe don’t know yet (which size gloves they’re using), but it doesn’t matter. Unless it’s pillows like 16 or 18 ounces, it ain’t going to work. I just think that Logan Paul is bigger, he’s a much bigger man, he’s a more experienced boxer,” Smith continued. “Those big muscles are going to make you a bit slower, and you’ve got to remember that Conor had quickness, he could catch you quick and clip you. That’s not going to be the case in the boxing ring.”

Like younger brother Jake, Logan does have experience in the exhibition and crossover boxing realm. He battled fellow online star and now-business partner KSI twice before later facing a shared opponent with McGregor in Floyd Mayweather. Having gone the distance in that exhibition, “The Maverick” returned to the ring in 2023 to defeat Dillon Danis.

McGregor, meanwhile, has not boxed competitively since being TKO’d by Mayweather in their highly covered 2017 bout. Judging by Jake Paul’s recent claim that he, too, has been offered a match with the Irishman recently, it would appear the UFC star is intent on his next outing coming in the ring.

  • Conor McGregor Opens As Betting Underdog For Potential Logan Paul Boxing Match

Conor McGregor Opens As Betting Underdog For Potential Logan Paul Boxing Match

Conor McGregor has not fought in over three years but according to a recent social media post from “The Notorious”, that is set to change in the near future. In one of the most unexpected announcements of the year, the former UFC champ-champ claimed on X that he is already in preliminary talks for a boxing match with social media and WWE star, Logan Paul.

The Octagon return of the Irishman has been a huge talking point throughout the year and at one point, we were just weeks away from seeing him compete in the UFC once again during International Fight Week. He made the decision to withdraw from his comeback fight against Michael Chandler due to a toe injury and since then, it has been nothing but pushback.

This is especially true following the verdict from his recent civil sexual assault case where he was found guilty. Hearing any kind of fight news regarding the biggest star in the history of MMA seemed unlikely and though he’s not usually entirely truthful on social media, his word is that this boxing match will happen and after that, he will look to return to the UFC.

McGregor has of course competed inside the ring once before when he boxed Floyd Mayweather in 2017 and was stopped in the tenth round. Paul has also stepped through the ropes for an exhibition with Mayweather, two fights against KSI and one against Dillon Danis which was his latest outing back in October last year, giving him a pro record of 1-1 after beating comfortably beating McGregor’s former teammate.

Though the fight is yet to be confirmed, BetOnline are already offering betting odds on the contest and the current line is surprising to say the least. McGregor comes in as the underdog in the matchup at +120. Paul, on the other hand, comes in at a -150 favorite in odds that likely say more about the Irishman’s current public perception than the boxing ability of his opponent.

  • Conor McGregor Reveals Logan Paul Exhibition Boxing Match Is In The Works

Conor McGregor Reveals Logan Paul Exhibition Boxing Match Is In The Works

While uncertainty surrounds his return to the Octagon, it seems that UFC star Conor McGregor is eyeing an opportunity inside the ring instead.

McGregor hasn’t competed in any form of the fight game since UFC 264 in July 2021, where his main event trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier came to a shocking conclusion at the end of round one when the Irishman suffered a gruesome broken leg.

After a lengthy period of recovery on the sidelines, the Irishman had his return to action announced toward the start of 2023, as he was penciled in to face opposition TUF coach Michael Chandler. That is still yet to come to fruition, however, with multiple rumored and one official fight date falling through across the past two calendar years.

While that’s left some doubting that “The Notorious” will make the walk again — a sentiment that only gained traction after he was found liable for assault in a civil case last month after being accused of rape — McGregor has continued to dismiss those claims and set his sights on a 2025 comeback.

But in the new year, the UFC might not be his first port of call…

The Dublin native took to social media this week, first to dismiss rumors of an Ilia Topuria fight inside the Octagon. And in the same post, McGregor suddenly announced that an exhibition boxing match with YouTuber-turned-pugilist and professional wrestler Logan Paul is in the works.

He also named a location, claiming the Ambani family is looking to put the bout together for an event in India. The Ambani family topped the 2017 Forbes list of Asia’s richest families with a net worth of $44.8 billion.

“The rumors of a bout with topurio (Ilia Topuria) are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India,” McGregor wrote on X. “I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

Paul, like his younger brother Jake, has experience in the exhibition and crossover boxing game. The 29-year-old battled fellow online star KSI twice as YouTube boxing began to rise to prominence over five years ago.

Since then, “The Maverick” has fought a shared opponent with McGregor in Floyd Mayweather. After going the distance in their exhibition, Paul returned to the ring last October to defeat Dillon Danis in a professional affair before turning his attention to a pro wrestling career in the WWE.

McGregor, meanwhile, has not appeared in the ring since being stopped by Mayweather in their lucrative 2017 crossover clash, which marked “Money’s” 50th and final professional victory.

VIDEO: Former UFC Heavyweight Greg Hardy Brutally Knocked Out At Russian Boxing Event

Greg Hardy’s transition from the NFL to combat sports has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows.

After wrapping up his football career, Hardy entered the UFC heavyweight division in 2019, making his debut with a disqualification loss to Allen Crowder. He rebounded with knockout victories over lower-tier opponents but faced stiffer competition as his career progressed.

Hardy suffered a decision loss to Alexander Volkov but bounced back with two wins before his UFC stint ended on a sour note — three consecutive knockout losses to Marcin Tybura, Tai Tuivasa, and Serghei Spivac.

Following his UFC departure, Hardy shifted to boxing, where he built a 3-0 professional record before his most recent fight. On Friday night, at the Fight Club REN TV Super Series in Moscow, Russia, Hardy faced Aleksei Papin, an opponent with 18 wins.

The bout, scheduled for six three-minute rounds, ended in the third when Papin rocked Hardy with a decisive blow, ultimately sending him crashing to the canvas with just 90 seconds left in the round.

After the fight, Hardy reflected on Instagram:

ā€œI came to Russia alone on short notice to fight a monster with 18 wins and tested my metal. Got two knock downs and went toe to toe. I don’t take easy fights, I don’t fight fake fights — I fight real killers and sometimes the price is high, but I will pay it to become the best, no? Thank you to everyone that helped me get to this point.ā€

  • Tommy Fury Cancels Darren Till Boxing Match After Former UFC Fighter’s ‘Kicking’ Threats

Tommy Fury Cancels Darren Till Boxing Match After Former UFC Fighter’s ‘Kicking’ Threats

Tommy Fury has withdrawn from his upcoming boxing match with former UFC title challenger Darren Till due to his concerns about the fight. The two men were set to meet in a main event bout at Manchester’s Co-Op Live Arena on a Misfits and DAZN card.

During their recent press conference to promote the fight, Till made remarks that if he was losing the contest, he would get himself disqualified by choosing to kick Fury instead. In a post on social media, Fury claimed that for this reason, he isn’t going ahead with the fight.

“I can’t believe I’m writing this but I am now not fighting Darren Till on January 18th 2025. For the one simple reason being that Darren has stated over and over that he does not want to abide by professional boxing rules and that if he is loosing the fight he will resort to kicking and other stupid MMA tactics. I am a professional boxer, I have been out of the ring for over a year and I wanted to be a great BOXING fight for the fans. I have wasted weeks in training camp. We are working hard to get a new opponent and date. I promise to get a better opponent and fight for you guys. Good news around the corner.”

Till has since responded via several social media posts and videos where he heavily criticized Fury for withdrawing from the fight for this reason when he was simply trying to sell the fight and hasn’t said anything similar since. He also called out Jake Paul, claimed that Fury was never going to fight on that date in the first place and said that he will be staying on the January 18 card in Manchester with a new opponent currently being searched for.

Turki Alalshikh Has Two Options In Mind For Francis Ngannou’s Next Fight

Francis Ngannou has exciting options for his next fight, according to Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia.

In his return to MMA, Ngannou secured an emphatic victory over Renan Ferreira at PFL: Battle of the Giants, leaving fans eager to see what the former UFC heavyweight champion will do next.

Following the fight, Ngannou expressed his openness to competing in both MMA and boxing, though he noted that his next steps depend on the PFL presenting its offer.

Alalshikh discussed Ngannou’s potential future during the DAZN Ariel X Ade show, where he floated the idea of a boxing showdown with Deontay Wilder.

ā€œWhy don’t we see Ngannou against Wilder?ā€ Alalshikh mused. ā€œI need to sit with Wilder. In two minutes, I can gauge his condition and determine if he’s ready or not. I don’t want to waste time and money anymore. I need to check first if he’s still got it.ā€

Ngannou, who plans to attend the anticipated Usyk vs. Fury rematch in December, is already in discussions about his future.

ā€œWe have a lot of business together,ā€ Alalshikh added. ā€œI have two options on the table for Francis: one in MMA and one in boxing. I want to discuss them with him.ā€

Alalshikh also emphasized his ambition to push boundaries with their MMA operations, promising big plans for the future.
