UFC Fight Night Results & Highlights: Carlos Ulberg Starches Dominick Reyes

UFC Fight Night: Carlos Ulberg vs. Dominick Reyes (aka UFC Perth) took place on Saturday, September 27, and MMA News has you covered with all the action!

After a weekend off following the third annual Noche UFC event, the UFC returns to Australia, touching down in the city of Perth for the fourth time — and the first time a UFC Fight Night card is being held at the RAC Arena.

In the main event, Carlos Ulberg made his case for the next light heavyweight title shot after putting away former title challenger Dominick Reyes. After a slow start to the round, Ulberg landed a strong one-two that knocked Reyes out cold and proclaimed he’d be in the crowd at next week’s UFC 320 with an up-close seat to watch Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira 2.

The co-main event saw Jimmy Crute pull off a first-round submission of Ivan Erslan. After weathering some early power shots thrown by Erslan, Crute managed to get a hold of Erslan and brought the fight to the ground, locking up a tight choke to score the submission win.

The main card also featured Jack Jenkins scoring a decision over Ramon Taveras, a controversial win by Neil Magny over Jake Matthews, and Tom Nolan pulling off a comeback, first-round submission of Charlie Campbell.

  • 2025 PFL Europe 3 Semifinals Results & Highlights: Amin Ayoub Finishes With Strikes After Wild War With Keweny Lopes

2025 PFL Europe 3 Semifinals Results & Highlights: Amin Ayoub Finishes With Strikes After Wild War With Keweny Lopes

The third PFL Europe event of the 2025 season took place on Saturday, September 26, with the PFL landing in Nantes, France, and MMA News has you covered with all the action!

PFL Europe was the initial expansion effort of the Professional Fighters League (PFL), an effort that has since grown out to MENA in 2024. PFL Africa started up earlier this year, and PFL Pacific will be on the way.

After the first leg of the third PFL Europe season started up in Belfast in May, and continued through Brussels in July, today’s action hosted the lightweight and bantamweight semifinals, as participants competed to see who will fight at the PFL Europe Championships — scheduled for December 13 in Lyon, France.

The main event saw a lightweight showcase battle that featured Amin Ayoub pulling off the win over Keweny Lopez. The fight opened with a fast-paced opening round that saw Ayoub rock Lopes on a couple of occasions, threatening a guillotine more than once. Lopes, however, looked for a pair of leg locks of his own, landing heavy shots and scrambling nonstop just as much as Ayoub did.

Ayoub started to take over in the second round, however, as he worked the body and reversed positioning following a takedown by Lopes. Ayoub controlled the ground striking in the second round and was relentless with pressure in the third, forcing the referee to step in for a third-round TKO victory.

The event was broadcasted on DAZN in most countries, as well as on the PFL App in the U.S. If you missed any of the action, MMA News has you covered below with the full results and all the highlights below.

  • Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford Results & Highlights: Terence Crawford Becomes Undisputed Champion In Third Weight Class

Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford Results & Highlights: Terence Crawford Becomes Undisputed Champion In Third Weight Class

In a bout that has long been anticipated, Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford goes down tonight in an undisputed super middleweight title clash of two of boxing’s pound-for-pound greats today.

The two clash in the main event of the inaugural event promoted by TKO Boxing at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A world champion in four weight classes, Canelo Alvarez picked up his first super middleweight title in December 2018 before defeating Caleb Plant in November 2021 to become the first ever undisputed boxing world champion at 168 pounds. He’d defend the undisputed championship four times before the IBF stripped him in 2024; he’d regain that title and became a two-time undisputed champion at 168 with his win over William Scull this past May.

Crawford has also been a world champion in four weight classes, having held undisputed gold at both light welterweight and welterweight. The undefeated Crawford, after more than five years as a welterweight champion, moved up to light middleweight last year, controversially defeating Israil Madrimov in August 2024 to become a champion at that weight class. This will be his first fight at 168.

The Canelo vs. Crawford card is available on Netflix and will begin at 9pm ET/6pm PT. Prelims are available on YouTube at 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT. Ring walks for the main event are expected at approximately 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT.

UFC Fight Night Results & Highlights: Johnny Walker Ends Zhang Mingyang’s Winning Streak

UFC Fight Night: Johnny Walker vs. Zhang Mingyang (aka UFC Shanghai) takes place in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 23, and MMA News has you covered with all the action!

After a pay-per-view card in Chicago that saw the crowning of a new UFC middleweight champion, the MMA leader touches down in Shanghai for the first time since 2017, following a Fight Night held in Macau last November.

The main event saw Johnny Walker breaking his own winless skid while snapping the long winning streak of Zhang Mingyang. Though Walker had a bizarre takedown attempt to start the fight, and Mingyang controlled the action in the first round with his strikes, a calf kick changed things in the second. One of Walker’s calf kicks caused Mingyang to go to the mat in pain, and Walker swarmed the Chinese fighter. Mingyang’s efforts to defend and get back to his feet were for naught, and Walker scored the second round finish.

The co-main event of the evening saw Aljamain Sterling win a bizarre and lackluster 153-pound catchweight contest with Brian Ortega. Ortega, who already had plenty of controversy surrounding him and his concerning weight cut, put up little offense until a flurry and desperate submission efforts in the fifth round. Sterling went on to sweep the scorecards.

The rest of the main card saw Sergei Pavlovich defeat Waldo Cortes-Acosta, Su Mudaerij earn a decision over Kevin Borjas, and Taiyilake Nueraji defeat Keifer Crosbie.

PFL World Tournament Week 10 Results & Highlights

The final of three events to mark the conclusion of the PFL’s 2025 World Tournaments goes down in Hollywood, Florida tonight — and MMA News has you covered with all the action.

The World Tournament is the spiritual successor to the season-and-the-playoffs has had since its inaugural season in 2018. As part of the changes in format to the PFL upon the official folding of the Bellator brand earlier this year, the PFL changed its global season to a single-elimination tournament format, adding more weight classes, eight fighters per weight class.

First-round action took place in April and May, with June — previously hosting the second leg of the regular season — hosting semifinal action. This month will see the conclusion of these tournaments, with eight winners receiving PFL World Tournament title belts and $100,000.

This evening will be headlined by the middleweight tournament final between former Bellator title challenger Fabian Edwards and Dalton Rosta. Edwards, the younger brother of former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, reached tonight’s final through a finish of 2023 light heavyweight champion Impa Kasanganay and a decision over Josh Silveira. Rosta has won three straight since suffering the sole loss of his career, including victories over former 2022 welterweight champion Sabidou Sy and Aaron Jeffrey (the one man to beat him) to reach tonight’s final.

The co-main event will be the heavyweight tournament final featuring Oleg Popov and Alexandr Romanov. After Popov fell short to Denis Goltsov in last year’s final, snapping a long winning streak for Popov, he reaches tonight’s final through decision wins over Karl Williams and Rodrigo Nascimento. Romanov submitted Tim Johnson in the first round of the tournament before a no contest with Valentin Moldavsky in the semifinals. Romanov, however, advanced to the final based on a judges’ decision from what went down in the fight with Moldavsky up to that point.

Also featured will be the light heavyweight tournament final featuring Sullivan Cauley and Antonio Carlos Jr. Cauley advanced to the final through victories over Alex Polizzi and former Bellator light heavyweight champion Phil Davis. “Shoeface,” who won PFL light heavyweight gold in 2021, reached the finals through wins over Karl Moore and Simeon Powell.

PFL World Tournament Week 9 Results & Highlights

The second of three events to mark the conclusion of the PFL’s 2025 World Tournaments goes down in Charlotte, North Carolina tonight — and MMA News has you covered with all the action.

This evening will be headlined by the lightweight tournament final between defending champion Gadzhi Rabadanov and Alfie Davis. Rabadanov, who defeated Brent Primus to claim the 2024 lightweight title, looks to become just one of a handful of PFL fighters to become a back-to-back tournament champion, let alone a two-time PFL tournament champion. Rabadanov made it to the finals with a pair of first-round finishes against Marc Diakiese and Kevin Lee. Davis, meanwhile, advanced here with a first-round knockout of Clay Collard and a decision win over Primus.

The co-main event will be the women’s flyweight tournament final between Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop. Carmouche, the former Bellator women’s flyweight champion, reached the finals through an 85-second finish of Ilara Joanne and a decision over Elora Dana. Bishop reached with a unanimous decision over Kana Watanabe and a second-round submission of Ekaterina Shakalova.

Also featured will be the bantamweight tournament final featuring Marcirley Alves and Justin Wetzell. Alves made it to the final through decision wins over Leandro Higo and Jake Hadley. Wetzell scored decision wins over Kasum Kasumov and Mando Gutierrez.

PFL Africa 2 Results & Highlights

The PFL has arrived to Johannesburg as it presents PFL Africa 2 — and MMA News has you covered with all the action.

The PFL’s expansion efforts began a couple of years ago with the launch of PFL Europe, followed by the establishment of PFL MENA last year. Now, as was once promised when the PFL signed Francis Ngannou in 2023, the PFL has officially launched PFL Africa this year.

It was just three weeks ago when the PFL held the first global MMA event on African soil with PFL Cape Town — a night that featured both the first-ever PFL Africa card, as well as the second PFL Champions Series event, the latter playing host to Costello Van Steenis’ historical comeback to win the PFL middleweight title.

Just like the first PFL Africa event, PFL Africa 2 will see the African-focused promotion’s tournaments kick off with first-round action, this time focusing on featherweights and welterweights.

The featherweights will be in the main event tonight, as Patrick Ocheme takes on Mohamed Camara. Ocheme enters this fight 6-1 and on a four-fight win streak, most recently scoring a first-round finish of Kaleka Kabanda in the EFC this past November. Camara, meanwhile, comes into tonight 5-2-1, most recently battling Ali Yazbeck to a split draw back in May 2024 at a UAE Warriors event.

Welterweight action will be featured in the co-main event with Shido Boris Esperanca facing PFL Europe and Bellator veteran Ibrahima Mane.

PFL Africa 2 actions begins at 12pm ET/9am PT on the PFL App. If you can’t watch the action, MMA News has you covered with all the results and highlights below.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Mario Barrios Results & Highlights (5:30PM ET)

For the first time in four years, Manny Pacquiao returns to the ring and attempts to win gold once again, and MMA News has you covered with all the action.

Pacquiao is set to challenge Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight championship in the main event of a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao is of course known as one of the greatest professional boxers of all time, winning world championships in eight different divisions through his career. Pacquiao’s last welterweight title win over Keith Thurman in 2019 made him the oldest welterweight champion in the sport, as well as the first four-time welterweight boxing champion — which can improve to five times with a win tonight.

Pacquiao’s last fight came in August 2021, where he lost the WBA title to Yordenis Ugas.

Barrios defeated Ugas in September 2023 to capture the interim WBC welterweight title. He’d defend the interim title against Fabian Maidana in May 2024 before being promoted by the WBC to full champion after Terence Crawford moved up in weight. Barrios then battled Abel Ramos to a controversial draw to retain the title against on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul.

The WBC Super Welterweight Championship will be on the line in the co-feature bout of the evening in a rematch between defending champion Sebastian Fundora and Tim Tszyu. The two first met in March 2024, with Fundora taking a split decision to win the WBO title and then-vacant WBC title.

Fundora retained the titles over Chordale Booker in March. Tszyu, meanwhile, came up short against Bakhram Murtazaliev for the IBF light middleweight title but defeated Joseph Spencer in April.

The Pacquiao vs. Barrios card is available on pay-per-view via both Amazon Prime and traditional cable broadcasters and will begin at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Prelims are available on Amazon Prime at 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT. Ring walks for the main event are expected at approximately 11pm ET/8pm PT.

Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois 2 Results & Highlights

The rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois to determine an undisputed heavyweight champion in boxing goes down tonight, and MMA News has you covered with all the action.

All four of boxing’s heavyweight world championships will be at stake, as Usyk puts the WBA (Super), WBO, and WBC titles on the line in an attempt to reclaim the IBF belt from a familiar foe in Dubois. The fight takes place from Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Usyk and Dubois first met in August 2023 — Usyk’s first fight since beating Anthony Joshua to gain the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles and defend them in a rematch. While Dubois was strong to start, a controversial low blow call for a punch that landed on Usyk in the fifth round saw the momentum shift. Usyk went on to score knockdowns of Dubois in the eighth and ninth, finishing Dubois to retain the title.

About nine months later, Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to claim the WBC title and become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in boxing since Lennox Lewis. Usyk also became the first heavyweight undisputed champion in the four-belt era, and he joined Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue in becoming a four-belt undisputed champion in a second weight class.

Usyk, however, was only undisputed champion for a month, as the IBF stripped Usyk, who went on to rematch with Fury and retain the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles. Dubois, meanwhile, defeated Filip Hrgović in June 2024 to become interim IBF heavyweight champion before being promoted to full-time champ. He then retained the IBF title in September with a strong knockout of Joshua.

The Usyk vs. Dubois 2 card is available on DAZN pay-per-view and will begin at 12:30pm ET/9:30am PT/5:30pm BST. Ring walks for the main event are expected at approximately 4:45pm ET/1:45pm PT/9:45pm BST. If you can’t watch the action, MMA News has you covered with all the results and highlights below.

PFL Cape Town: PFL Champions Series 2: Johnny Eblen vs. Costello Van Steenis & PFL Africa 1 Results & Highlights

PFL Cape Town presents a historic night for the PFL and Africa, as global MMA action has touched down in the continent with both the second edition of the PFL Champions Series and the first-ever PFL Africa event — and MMA News has you covered with all the action.

A card in Africa has been a longtime coming for the PFL since its signing of Francis Ngannou in 2023 — with Ngannou being named a part-owner and chairman of PFL Africa. PFL Africa is the latest region-specific venture of the PFL’s, following its launch of PFL Europe in 2023 and PFL MENA in 2024.

This evening will simultaneously mark the second edition of PFL Champions Series — developed as part of the slew of changes made by PFL for 2025 that included the elimination of the Bellator brand.

Those championships will carry on, however, as seen in the main event of PFL Champions Series 2, as now-PFL middleweight champion Johnny Eblen defends the title against Costello Van Steenis.

Eblen won the then-Bellator middleweight title by defeating Gegard Mousasi at Bellator 282, retaining the belt against Anatoly Tokov at Bellator 290 and Fabian Edwards at Bellator 299. Since the PFL’s purchase of Bellator, Eblen scored a split decision win over Impa Kasaganay at PFL vs. Bellator Champions and retained against Edwards again at PFL Battle of the Giants last October.

Van Steenis comes into this title shot off two straight wins, submitting Gregory Babene at the Bellator Champions Series event in Paris in May 2024 before a 48-second head kick knockout of João Vitor Dantas at the PFL World Championships last fall.

Dakota Ditcheva, the 2024 PFL women’s flyweight champion and 2023 PFL Europe women’s flyweight champion, returns to action tonight against Sumiko Inaba, who defeated Saray Orozco and Mackenzie Stiller last year.

The PFL Africa 1 portion of the evening will see the African-focused promotion’s tournaments kick off with first-round heavyweight and bantamweight action.

PFL Cape Town begins with PFL Africa 1 action at 10am ET/7am PT on the PFL App, while PFL Champions Series 2 starts at 2pm ET/11 am PT on ESPN+. If you can’t watch the action, MMA News has you covered with all the results and highlights below.

  • Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 Live Results and Highlights

Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 Live Results and Highlights

They are two of the greatest and most decorated fighters in women’s boxing history. They are arguably the two best in women’s boxing today. And tonight, the rivalry between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano concluded with one final, epic, highly-anticipated clash — one that headlined the first-ever all-women’s boxing card in history! And MMA News has you covered with all the action!

Taylor had long worked her way up the ranks at women’s lightweight before, picking up belt after belt before defeating Delfine Persoon to become undisputed women’s lightweight champion at Madison Square Garden in June 2019.

She would retain the belt seven consecutive times, a stretch that saw the first clash between Taylor and Serrano in 2022, with Taylor edging out a controversial split decision victory. Taylor would lose the undisputed title briefly to Chantelle Cameron before winning it back months later.

Then, in November 2024, as part of the undercard for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul, the two met again, with Taylor again coming out on top in a controversial decision.

Serrano is a longtime veteran of the game, coming into tonight with a 47-3-1 record, having picked up nine major world title across seven weight classes in her career.

Now, Taylor and Serrano meet one last time in the Big Apple, once again at MSG, for all the marbles!

The card also featured five other world title fights — for a record total of 17 world boxing championships on the line throughout the evening.

The PFL MENA season continued on Friday, July 4, and we have all the results and highlights from the action here at MMA News!

PFL MENA was set up last year as part of the promotion’s expansion efforts, and alongside the already-established PFL Europe and soon-to-debut PFL Africa and PFL Pacific, PFL MENA has ventured on into its second season.

But El Dafrawy escaped it and was able to lock up a triangle choke, surviving a pair of slams before getting the tap just 1:15 into the fight.

Hattan Alsaif competed in her fourth amateur MMA bout on this night as well, scoring another second-round finish in front of a hometown crowd. Alsaif defeated Nour Al Fliti after a knockdown saw Al Fliti suffer an injury to her right leg.

The 2024 PFL bantamweight and welterweight tournaments opened on this night, as participants looked to get their way into the semifinals this fall.

In addition to being broadcasted live on DAZN in most countries, this event marked the first time that American viewers could watch an international PFL event live on the PFL App!
